Ok , I am convinced and signed up, just wait for the team to install.

I found a speed test website with Geo mapping, and compared to my 1.6mb speed, all the local Virgin ones mapped locally were 10mb min speeds, seems impressive

Try Parcels2go.com, I have used them many times (inc bike frames) with good service.

They are basically a broker for the national couriers, cost will vary depending on location, but I sent a bike frame on a 3 day service for £7.50, costs up to 25kg are pretty flat

I have just sold my 14 year old 300Tdi Disco with 222000 on the clock.

A real meccano set, in the 160k I put on the clock only failed to make its destination once, when the clutch arm went after 180k (snapped with metal fatigue).

Spares are dirt cheap, both new and SH now, do not expect 100% reliability, but they are robust workhorses, most things can be fixed with your average tool kit.

Still popular regardless of condition, I just sold mine for far more than expected, and plenty of punters seeking one.

Watch out for rust, that is the killer, Sills, rear arch panels inside rear doors and boot floor

Well, Postie strike or not Package arrived from DX containing the Knog Knock offs

    First impressions are ACE!

Reasonably well made, look cool, and the white front light much brighter than expected, actually enough to light the road in a dark alley!!, the rear red not so bright for some reason, but still very usable.

Durability, too early to say, but I see replacement 2032 button cells from DX at $3.66 for 20!!! A lifetimes supply.

At $4.73 (less than £3) a bargain – go get some!!!!

I will be getting some more

Same issue with XT hubs XTR rotors (and since new), torquing up the lockrings helps a lot, but still a bit of movement.Resited locktite and live with the slight play

Loctite 601 would fix it, and its not permanent, I use it to 'fix' the crap splines in my C**p RaceFace Cranks, a sharp knock or use of hub puller would free the joint.

Yep built my own, 14 x 10 for shed/studio, partioned one end for shed and left 11 x 10 for studio space.

Total materials cost was £3k. Base was 2in x 4in timbers built on a brick foundations to lift it away from ground and provide level base, and then used some sheets of 8 x 4 outdoor ply sheets for the floor. Usual shed type construction with shiplap, some double glazed timber window units from wickes (good value) and some wickes doors, insulated (used poly insulating blocks, and lined with mdf and cladding, some insulation for floor and laminate flooring. Roofing used roofing boards covered in Felt Shingles.

    Absolutely ace now (nearly finished)

I am running a 1/8 chain on my SS, Shimano LX Chainset, runs just fine. Clearly the drivechain will run the thinner/lighter 3/32 chain, but I must admit I like the security of the beefier 1/8 chains, seems pretty std fare on SS

Paranoid about dogs – well no, plenty of times dogs give chase but usually give up after a short distance or after a loud shout from their owner. Small dogs are the worst. First time I have been had a 'nip', and I had slowed to allow the owner to catch up and the dog to react to the owners shouts, If I had thought is was about to bite, a swift shove with the boot would have been in order, or even a quick dismount and grab the thing by the collar and return it to the owner with some stiff words. (not to be tried with large dogs though!!)

Yep, great tool, work fine on Sram, Powerlink, and some odd BMX 1/8 quicklinks, and I would guess all others!!

basically just tweeks the two pins together, works great on 'grimed' in parts which are usual pain.

All the best for a quick recovery.

I was in plaster 8 weeks, pin removed (was supposed to be 12 weeks, but surgeon was going on hol and wanted it out of way!!)a further 3 weeks on crutches recovering, although could drive, biking out of the question!!, then gradual return to biking.

Physio a definite help, and actually spinning really good exercise to build up the ankle movement, full 6 months before back to 100% normal activity.

Got some 2.2 non Black Chilli, best Conti tyres ever so far, roll well tarmac, grip well (in all conditions so far!!), no 'squirm', steers nicely, and no loud roar on road (which I hate and a sign of inefficient rolling on tarmac!!). Significantly larger than 2.2 Mountain kings, with wide flat tread

32:14 on 26 inch, was 32:16, but spinning out too much, but 32:14 just fine and manages road/mixed use fine, but limited on hills, but manages all round here fine. 32:16 fine if mainly off road as you can feel the extra drag on 32:14!!! a 15t would be a good compromise, but they are like hens teeth!!

Use Fring app on old Symaian OS based Nokia (using GPRS), ace with Skype messaging, call voice quality ok, but some lag, so not best for intimate conversations!, aslo use same app on IPAQ on WLAN, better (less Lag)but not as good as mobile or Skype on Braodband.

Check out LIPO battery care – Do a google seach, Lithuim rechargeables used in Radio Control Models, are generally reckoned to keep best part charged, leaving then discharged could cause problems as they will loose some charge in storage and possibly drip below the min voltage and will not then recharge. New batteries seem to come 1/2 to 2/3 charged anyway!!

Slime Tubes were on Discount in Tesco Extra Stores recently at a bargain price of £4.28 or therabouts, on the porkyside weightwise but do the business most of the time!!!.

Use a Nike Ball pump as a portable pocket sized pump, works a treat, double action, small and compact £6 or less in sports shops if you look around and a proper screw on flexible adapter (normal car valve adapter), never did get on with those all in one micropumps, and you can pump up your BALLS as well!!!!
