You can certainly extract individual artwork from tracks using mp3tag http://www.mp3tag.de/en/
Can’t comment on bulk extraction though.

Another shot in the dark, but it could be that the camp router is broadcasting both 2.4ghz and 5ghz with the same name. We had all sorts of connection issues with the iPad and missus’s iPhone in our house when the new router was set up that way and only changing the settings in the router so the channels had a different name cured it. Not something you’ll be able to do there I imagine but could be your issue.

If you stopped whilst still in the segment then yes it will keep adding time until you pass the ‘finish’ line. Had this many times when waiting for people to catch up.

Does it matter though, its for shits and giggles.

Have not done any of the races there but ride in there all the time as local. Going off the above linked route (I haven’t logged in so just the overview they give) that looks like its all blue on the Newton Heath side then at the end of that blue section it follows the river on the path as far as the bridge in the middle of the Vale then left up the dirt track where the Clayton side Red/Blue end/crossover to the Red/Black, keep going past that, turn right back onto the Blue to the finish taking in just one half of the big bowl.

Could look at it better at home or maybe v12jat can confirm but that’s what it looks like to me. HTH.

Yep, took much practice. Find/found it much easier to do the bounce (two feet) rather than alternating/running on spot. Have moved to double unders, just because really!

Can’t comment on the Feature bar trying a medium on in store with a view to buy come payday and coming to the conclusion that it fit just as well as my Giro Xar.

I have however got a Bell Stoker after the psa on here and can honestly say it’s much comfier than my Xar. The peak is fixed if that matters but didn’t notice it myself. Can’t honestly say if in use the Stoker is comfiest than the Feature, however basing it of the Xar it is.

Sizing is comparable/standard, I’m a medium in both brands.

A fair few are now showing up on eBay by the looks of things, opportunists likely, is it even worth the effort for a few extra quid?!

Cheers for the heads up, needed a new lid too and that price worth a punt.

Manchester Fort store had a fair few left in medium and large.

Yep that’s pretty much how things are for me spacehopper. I know you don’t really need to back pedal but it is easier sometimes to line pedals up etc than an extra turn forward.

Cheers thegreatape I’ll look into them if I’ve nothing suitable lying around.

Thanks for the info thegreatape not considered bolt length. Might have some longer nut part but not sure about longer bolts, looks like some measuring needs doing.

Will check where things align later, suspect its going to need spacers. Where did you source yours and what size mudmonster?

Well Orux will indeed load the TT maps but the quality is nowhere near as good as I remember them, however it seems he has made the OS 1:50k look version paid for which is fair enough. So not sure whether its the app not displaying them right but the ‘online’ osm looks far better. Need to figure out how to download the UK for offline use now. Anyone know an easy way?

Never had any issues with Sports Tracker when I had my windows phone.

Right not used them in an age since getting rid of my Garmin through lack of use. They always seemed better than other sources of osm compiled maps. Have downloaded Orux and according to blurb it will load .IMG files which is what the TT maps are so I’ve the option to try at least if I feel the need.

Yeah seen viewranger. The own maps is not a deal breaker I just know the talky toaster maps are good and well maintained. Only really want it as a just in case tbh as I wouldn’t make use of a Garmin really.

Will have a look at that Orux.

Pretty hit and miss for me. Had an XT chain in a bag but boxed brakes. Just means the card bin fill faster!

Nothing on current bike but it came like that and was fine so when I changed fork I cut it the same.

New bike will have 10-15mm of spacers until I’m happy then I’ll likely trim more than likely.

My Langster came with a crap load, haven’t changed anything on that tbh and would probably have to start messing with bar drop etc if I did as I would be too bent over for my liking, at least currently anyway.

Rode/ride there since day one as its around the corner and good for a quick.

Was faster around it on my 26er vs my current 29er. But on one of my loops I do I’m faster on the 29er. One test location is never going to be adequate IMO. I’ll soon see whether my fashion conscious 27.5 is finished and see if that’s the slowest of the bunch, not that it will matter as I’ll still be grinning.

Really ? That is VERY cheap.

As I said it may have been a shorter time however they price things at scales. Bronze service was £26.50 at that’s what they stuck the frame prep down as. I enquired about possibly having something else done and was told it would just come under a standard £11.50 as it would take under 30mins.
Can’t comment on other Evans stores but the NCC store has the workshop area on show and its easy enough to speak to the mechanics so I always just speak directly to the guys doing the work and they book it in at what they think is required. For clarity though I’ve never taken them a full bike to work with. I’ve only taken them a wheel for rebuild a frame witg some isis cranks and bb i wanted removed but couldn’t be bothered buying tools for and a frame and headset for prep and fit. They may be a big corporate chain but they are 5minutes from me and as such are my lbs. That particular store might be roadie/track biased due to its location but always found them helpful, even thrown a couple of freebies in when I went in fully prepared to pay. (Nothing major, star but and chain pins).

Ultimately though I agree that £100 for a mech adjust is scandalous and I’d personally have walked away.

Dodgy store/branch? Had a few jobs done at the Evans NCC store and apart from being slow/busy had no reason to complain and priced fair IMO. Stripped wheeled and re built with new hub for £23 labour and spokes, full frame prep and headset fit for £26.50. Sounds like a piss take by someone in store that they got away with. At the NCC store at least they have a price list on the wall for workshop jobs and everything else is charged at £11.50 per 30mins iirc (might be less time tbh but never used it).
Think I’d be complaining to head office or store manager for an explanation/justification of cost.

I’ve one of the Edinburgh Cycles ones and found the seradated teeth (plastic) on the clamp head for rotating and locking to be very weak and easily damaged just with the weight of the bike straining them. They may have changed it now however as mines a couple of years old.

Mine renews automatically, but I’ve always had a letter the month prior informing me and also giving the option/time to cancel.

Always under the impression they are the same people tbh. Same items at same price at same time. Same things in/out of stock etc. Plus location…could be wrong!
Have used wheelies for our works c2w scheme and they were fine. Have ordered from tredz and item took weeks to arrive as it wasn’t really in stock! Extra £5 off code on tredz though so only £54.99. Resisting big time right now!

£26.50 at Evans but that included frame prep. Maybe that’s expensive I don’t know, was the first time I’ve paid as had no access to tools this time.

Like my Halo hubs personally. Original Spin Doctor still going strong after 5years on same bearings and only issue I had on the rear was a freehub issue which Halo replaced FOC. Cover all axle types and easy to work on.

Coming from windows phone there’s a good chance you had Nokia Maps for your sat nav. Well its now available on Android with the same offline/download maps function.

Keep them until “new bike fever” has worn off…No point having expensive things sitting about doing nothing

Although personally I’d sell one at a time least favourite first just in case you have a sudden change of heart. Have always sold my old bike as soon as happy with current, but then I’m happy only having one bike unlike some.

Been looking myself and they all seem to be within a few £’s of each other (not counting vouchers).

Thinking the Stealths might be retail though as unlike the normal version they all seem to be selling them with bleed kit, unless that is just because you have little choice but to bleed after fitting by the stealths design.

You could always get Evans to price match, you’ll get retail version then!

What about some Halo Vapours? Highly rate my old Freedom Discs and switch the hubs (spin doctors) over to my 29er. Just got the Vapours for a current build. Come with qr/15/20 front and qr/142×12 rear. Weight on paper seems good to me too, lighter than hope enduro iirc.

£278.88 the pair from wiggle. http://www.wiggle.co.uk/halo-vapour-650b-mtb-wheelset/

Chain should be fine if long enough.

As for cassette you can defo remove the 17 on an XT771 as I have done so… This one http://www.evanscycles.com/products/shimano/m771-xt-10-speed-cassette-ec023701
Can’t comment on SLX etc as no knowledge of them.

Don’t drink/smoke and beyond the kids and missus have little commitments, so basically boils down to whether I want it or not (although I don’t rush in as much anymore!). Paid for in cash or Credit card (when being impatient!) and settled each month.

Don’t have a huge fleet of bikes though. 1 MTB and 1 road/commuter so less maintenance costs throughout year. Currently building up a FS and the HT will go afterwards. Done the multi bike thing and tended to always ride one anyway so don’t bother now.

How would one go about shimming a headset. genuinely interested as never heard of this before

Hope headsets come with 3 very thin metal shims. Supposed to be used to reduce drag iirc, never felt the need for them so never fitted and never had an issue.

Old 1-1/8th one went in 3 different frames all on same bearings and was sold still in frame with bearings still sweet, that was about 4 years of life in them.

Have the tapered version at the moment about 18 months old and still sweet (admittedly not rode as much as usual this year but no reason to suspect they’d be any the worse if I had).

Nothing as fancy as you ^^^ lot, I’ll just be happy to get some riding in, kids, work, life has got totally in the way and I’ve done less than 200 miles all year.

So for me just getting back out in 2015 will be ace!

Oh right, was under impression you bled from bottom of post after reading someone say to make sure hose was long enough to remove post from frame without having start removing clamp from bars. If post can stay in place and just be bled from lever then I’ll go Stealth. Have to go route around SRAM’s site for a manual to look over.

What do you mean when I crash? Do you know me that well?!

Valid point though, hadn’t thought about that tbh.
