Got them on both bikes, Shimano 525 and some xt775 and they are fine, one thing I did notice though was that out of four pairs 2 pairs had different depth friction material on them, poor quality control, but then It’s 4 pairs for less than doing one bike with genuine pads.

Would be interested in this as well, i’ve been pouring over the map, but whats on the map doesnt match up with google earth and tbh alot looks cheeky, there’s very few bridleways it seems, the net not brought much up either.

This months mag has a route in it thats just over the hill in Marsden, which ive done in the past (similar anyway) and thats a good little ride.

Theres the Diggle Jiggle ride on the National Trails website but that looks pretty tame tbh.

Last cycle I did with my GPS logger, which is my regular Ranmore, Holmbury and Leith route, shows me to have completed 10636ft of ascent (10728ft of descent) in 21.7miles…does that sound plausible? I’m new to GPS technology and I’m wonder if it sounded too high.

Have you got a gpx output of the ride?if so import it to Google Earth (Tools>GPS) once the track has loaded right click on it and select ‘Show Elevation Profile’ should give you an idea of how accurate your figures are.

I have the 705 but doesnt sound like that would be needed, bit ott heart rate and candance and colour screen, but equally plenty of people use the etrax device if i recall.

Out of interest seeing as though i cant make the preview ride, if i went to Philips Park and had a ride around, would i get a good feel for whats in store, or does the route take in ultra secret in the know stuff, or areas not normally accessable/allowed?

Cant you just add the bikes as a named item/value? That’s what I did with one of my bikes and it was only £16 for the year.

True RDL but both companies handle millions of parcels the odd one is going to vanish from time to time.

Oh a appreciate that, tbh I more pee’d off at Amazon for not sending it recorded as I payed for, yeah they refunded but that’s now left me running around. Never normally have any problems with RM but suspect Its gone walks this time, I’ll just have to wait and hope, that Amazon are true to their word and do send a new one next day.

xt775 are a pain in the backside, i’ve never got a satifactory feel from themm, even with a shop bleed, front is great but rear which had a hose shortened when first built has been a nightmare.

Syringes, i got mine from the vets, gave me them for nothing, worth a try before spending any £’s

i’ll second what dmjb4 said, very tempermental prone to just cutting out, only use as a commuter or stick it in my pack as a emergency light, got a dx magicshine for the same(ish) price and it puts the hope to shame.

The rumour is that Pure are now replacing older Joplins with Joplin 4s rather than try and make the horrible things fit for purpose. So if you’re prepared to take the gamble that’s a cheap way to get a good post. Just that you might end up with a paperweight instead.
