AWS and TPWS as already mentioned would stop the train in the right circumstances but can be both isolated.

Assuming you could then somehow not get wrong routed to prevent you entering a major station you’d need to know the route so as not to speed and possibly derail.

Are we also taking the guard out of the equation? Emergency brake in another cab will quiet happily spoil the fun as well as the passengers panicking and pulling a Pass-Com again dumping brakes until reset.

Could get a bit tedious for them!

As of yet no. However the next update Lumia Black or whatever they are calling it will include that function as it is included in the Window OS update that will be part of the Lumia update.

If you don’t mind messing around you can get it now by creating an account (or logging in with your Microsoft account) here http://apps.windowsstore.com/default.htm

    After that download this http://www.windowsphone.com/s?appid=178ac8a1-6519-4a0b-960c-038393741e96
Then follow the instructions in the app.

As a note, this will only get you the Microsoft Windows Phone firmware update and not all the stuff Nokia will add, however it will allow you to do what you ask, and when Nokia release their update you will then get that too, you just basically get a bit of it early.

    More details here http://dev.windowsphone.com/en-us/featured/update3
You would be doing the second prerequisite. Don’t worry about the developer bit they don’t expect you to make anything its just an easy way to get the update.

    Hope that helps.

Just a quick update. Bled the other day, spot on now, not as powerful as my old XT’s but good enough.

Bleed funnel makes it all a doddle, worth the few quid.

    confused, now*
There seems to be a misunderstanding

    Very possibly!

I’m talking about a straight drag and drop with no music program in the middle be that Windows Media Player, iTunes, WinAmp, Foobar or whatever.

As far as I’m aware, without Jail Breaking your iPhone that’s not possible, you must open iTunes. Happy to be proven wrong, but I’ve certainly never been able to, hence my original comment regarding being unable to straight drag and drop on an iPhone…probably badly worded on my part originally!

It’s dead simple, you just set the device in iTunes to manually manage music and video. Any ful kno that.

    Really?

Doesnt on ours…you can do that straight from windows explorer and with no JB?

At a loss there then I’m afraid.

wpcentral probably best port of call.

    Do you mean this software?

    http://www.windowsphone.com/en-us/how-to/wp8/windows-phone-app-for-mac

As far as I’m aware its the only way to automatically do it.
However if you dont mind a bit of effort Windows Phones show up as a mass storage device and unlike an iPhone allow you to drag and drop your music straight onto the device (should be a music folder already there when the phone is detected as a drive etc)

This is certainly the case on a Lumia 820 anyway.

Great jacket, just not for summer!

As mentioned, plenty of zips so easy to regulate temp.

Have the hooded version which can be annoying at times though as the wind blows through the venting.

Thanks rdl-82, how did you do it?

When on the picture you should see 5 white icons at the bottom, one of which is a white square with an arrow coming out, click that, select ‘grab the html/bbcode’ option select ‘bbcode’. copy all the text in the box then paste it directly as is into the comments box here.

Pistons need pushing back in afterwards so they don’t rub or are we talking a miniscule amount of movement here?

    No need to bleed.

Thinking less in need of a bleed, more in need of a top up.

Bleed it is then. Fingers crossed that does it, was rather unsettling!

Is the funnel required or just nice to have to save making a mess?

Yeah I reckon my old BFe was 100% spot on, still regret selling it, but circumstance’s were what they were :(

My new Clockwork 29er comes close, just not happy with the forks or brakes right now.

Bike handles great imo, as good as my old bfe again imo of course!

Can’t comment on fork differences as still running 100mm until finances allow.
Use it for everything, commute included, handles it all fine.

For reference I’m 6’2″ and 34″ inside leg and ride a 19″ with a 70mm stem, perfectly comfortable for me.

These are nice if you can cope with it not being a ‘cool’ brand…

    Opens 27th May 12-4pm.

What sort of weight are your builds coming in at ?

Mine sits at 28lb according to the bathroom scales, maybe not the most accurate but it gives that weight repeatadly.
The current fork is heavy though and the wheels could probably lose some.
26lb would be doable with just them changes I reckon.

Went and had a look at the new bits today, got to say i prefer the ‘red’ sections to the ‘black’ as they flow better.
As for direction of travel its clockwise from the arches although Imo after riding it once you should get an idea.

For those worried about scrotes, as se7en983 says, i wouldn’t worry too much, been going through for years and had no bother, the scrotes are on there having a laugh as well.

I’d say its money well spent already, the amount of families out trying the easier sections is fantastic, if even a small proportion get more into it then that’ll be great.

Give it another week or so and they should be finished and onto sign posting.

As for mx’ers, this was discussed at the beginning and iirc and from talking to the builders, new gating os supposed to be going in at the access points.

Love mine. Bought the cheapest version as it was my first 29er plus I had a load of better stuff lying around anyway. Just need a better fork now.

Flies up and down and just Imo rides great, glad I went with it.

Would be curious to know what’s been changed. It already takes a tapered fork and seat tube is big enough for a dropper. Maybe a bolt up rear and iscg tabs.

6 months here, pretty much that across the industry and other companies generally wait if they want you. Takes 12months on average to train though so not a straight forward prospect for the company to replace you.

Should be fine then, we are 38meg and no issues.

Iirc it gets priority on the connection front. Ours is wired to the hub, no issues with connection even with kids watching Netflix and laptop going.

Can’t compete with sky/virgin for content but then its a damn site cheaper plus when we got it espn was a one off £10 then free as part of the package, not sure if that’s still the case however.

We have the original BT vision not the new Youview one so can’t comment on that, think you can still choose between the two.

Get over it, it’s a bit of fun…

Get over what? The fact people are cutting corners and messing the trails up for the sake of ‘winning?’ I couldn’t give a **** about the KOM, but if the people who are not sticking to the segments were not awarded the KOM less might be inclined to deviate.

    RDL-82
    Free Member

Think they need to worry about them being accurate first. There’s one near me where the KOM doesn’t even follow the segment for a significant part.

Multiple segments on the same section needs sorting too, rather than asking if you really want to create it, if its the same the site should just reject it.

Didnt manage to go on Sunday, plis kids eneded up being at grandparents…piece!

Had a nosey today though and it looks great. All obstacles are in 3’s and you can choose how difficult you want it. Looks like an excellent play area and skill builder for kids and beginners alike.

Nothing in Daisy Nook imo that is worth the aggro of the many other users, always treat it as just a pass through.
Some bits just through Daisy Nook however around Park Bridge. There’s a 4x style track in the woods and plenty of lines around the woods as well.

Closer to Manchester and you’ve got the new ‘trail centre’ in Clayton Vale which is due to finish mid May and skills area opening up in Philips Park (the one opposite the velodrome not the htn one).

Personally I can get a couple of hours in playing in the Vale then over to Daisy Nook up to Hartshead then back down through Park Bridge and a retrace back to the Vale.
works out around 18+ miles and pretty varied.

Drop me an email if you want any info.

    Is that the new clockwork?

It is indeed, absolutely loving it so far. Bought the cheapest version as it was my first dabble with 29ers and could be picked up C2W, plus I had a box full of better bits anyway to swap out if wanted.
Its definitely faster on my local trails and that’s with me riding it as I would my old 26 and not steam roller-ing everything!
New fork and a dropper at some point and I’ll be a very happy bunny indeed!
