Freedom and democracy are worth fighting for if that is what is really the aim.

If we were really fighting for freedom and democracy during WWII in Europe, why did we allow Fascism to continue in Portugal and Spain for so long?

If the Boers were fighting for freedom from British rule in Africa can the British be seen as fighting against freedom and democracy in that war?

Were the British anti-democratic in the repression of the Irish struggle for freedom and democracy?

    Just a couple of thoughts.

Blimey I only thought the music might be in line with one of the organisers use of language on their blog.

Namely, the Industrial fell blog daftest ride redux posting with the lovely use of ‘gyp’. Obviously a reference to gypsy. Thanks for that one.

“The route is best described as a monster. Approximately 130 miles, 15000-ish feet of vertical ascent and several really big hills..nay, mountains to ride over. Most of the route is off-road and plenty of unrideable, ‘hike-a-bike’ sections to ensure the calves get plenty of gyp.”

Surely it is political. Fighting for your country is a political conviction as is dying for it. War is political.

What about people that hate animals so much they refuse to eat them. I know a few people that hold that opinion.

When I was 5 years old I fell out of a car whilst going around a dual carriageway roundabout. Managed to grab hold of the arm rest whilst falling out and was flying in mid air whilst looking back at all the cars behind me that would surely have ground me into the tarmac if I’d let go.

Travelled around half of the roundabout whilst in mid air until my dad could turn off at the next available exit. Even then there was the danger of me letting go and getting run over by our own car. Still don’t know how I managed to survive that one.

Still makes me freak out about it even now some 40 years later. My dad gave me a right bollocking aswell.

He’ll go and maybe in the near future we’ll see the splitting up of Italy between the poorer south and the richer north.

Looking forward to Aviemore in the new year and France/Swissland in March. Hoping for snow in the Peaks sooner rather than later.

That’s cool. Thanks for letting me know. That last section featured in most of the vids looks sweet!! I used to ride the downhills quite alot at FOD a few years ago but don’t really get down to that part of the world as much as I used to though we will be hitting it soon.

I’m gonna ride some of the other trails aswell. Will give the freeminers a blast.

    cheers.

If braziery copper is cleaned then it usually gets priced at the top rate.

Stripped copper cable is usually at the top rate as its high quality stuff, though you have to decide on the amount of time it takes to strip it versus what you get for unstripped cable.

Tarifa has rock climbing areas, just google for them. The surf around Tarifa picks up in the winter months but it is mainly a kite / wind surf area. check magic seaweed for wave info. Obviously being the med the waves are created by wind rather than swell.

There’s some good camping places around tarifa aswell. We camped for free for weeks in our van outside tarifa going west, there’s a cool surf beach with a bar/cafe and a big field. Lots of Brit New Age travellers come down from the sierra nevada mountains and summer there free for months as its a public field.

Other than that I’d look at san sebastian, surf beach right in the town centre and the Pyrenees mountains directly behind it. But I guess that goes for quite a bit of the coastline down there of north spain and south france as you’ve either got the pyrenees or the picos de europa to choose from to climb in.

The NSDAP had problems with Gypsies because they had interbred with subhumans, predominantly slavic peoples which had tainted their Aryan blood.

B.a.nana – No, it was deffo the Bierkeller. Black Flag played there, and saw conflict there quite a few times. One of the best gigs was Crucifix and Anti-Sect. Totally amzing!!

My sis played in a band with members of the Cult, well when they were known as Violation pre-SDC.

in the 80’s we used to go to alot of gigs in Leeds though there was alot of animosity between Huddersfield and Leeds punks and skins so we used to keep a little quiet. Brannigans in Leeds then moving on to the Bierkeller, Adam & Eves and then the Duchess.

We used to travel about quite a bit to many other northern towns and cities, usually Manchester, Liverpool (Planet X), Wigan, Preston, Sunderland, Newcastle and down south quite a bit to Leicester, Coventry, Nottingham, The Mermaid in Brum and a few places in London like the George Robey, Clarendon Ballroom, SOAAOS.

Yeah I’ve done a bit of the top moor. It was so muddy my bike was able to stand up on its own! In a perverse kind of way I’m still kinda interested in doing it!
