Thanks a bunch Skids. I knew I wasn’t mad. That’s helped me out heaps. So this blue was the first time this colour appeared on the nomad? Sorry to ask all these questions.

Yeah I have checked with santa cruz tech help with the serial number.

Sorry I should have explained myself. I have a 2006 frame model but I’m trying to work out the year of the new paint job they gave the bike.

I recall seeing one in the Peak District with this sky blue colour paint job.

I’,presuming its 2009 onwards. Just want to locate this paint job with the year. The archive does not give all the info relating to different paint jobs.

    cheers

Cheers for info guys. There’s one up on pink bike and was deliberating. Saw a real nice one go for £1100 with an air shock.

This one has the coil but tbh looks to have a fair few drinks in it so its looks as though its been ridden pretty hard. £1200 as well. Would be slightly tempted at a reduced price……….

TBH I want to have some burly fun so was looking at the bullit as opposed to the more expensive nomad. I am pretty loyal to SC having used them in my skateboarding years…!!

But, I am questioning that at the mo. Ellsworth Momentum (thanks Jack Reading) and Nukeproof Mega AM are coming to mind. transition looks tempting as well.

The money equation comes into it and from looking at the price of a decent 2nd hand nomad i could get an AM bike and a DH bike. While I’m attached to SC it feels like a bit of a no brainer.

Yeah I’m scratching the bullit. Its starting to feel like a bike that is stuck between an am and a dh bike and the negi is outweighing the posi. Still looks a fun bike in many ways.

Yeah I was hearing about the shortness of the frame on the bullits and i guess that would affect dh riding.

Might give a bit more thought on the hecklers. I guess 2013 onwards the hecklers look more serious for riding down.

cheers for that. I live near the peak district so that’s main ride zone.

I was thinking a heckler would be lacking on the rear travel as I want something a bit more burly for the peaks down sections ala Nomad but was aiming towards a bullit as a cheap option but obviously wondered what I would be losing out on going up.

I previously had a Blur – great for going up but lacking a bit of weight when going through rockier down sections.

perhaps I need to get off my santa cruz addiction.

I look forward to watching this. Sometimes hard to see what is truly going on for the smoke getting in your eyes.

I’m interested in the far right influence on this revolution. Perhaps I can be enlightened after watching this film?
Towards their influence or lack of. What is your opinions?

Big John. How did you get to be an extra. Pretty interested in doing that for the next series.

Enjoyed it since the first series. Some great acting and cinematography. Music has been pretty ripper as well.

Think it is great though people have picked out a few faults but I think they have done a fab job.

I know people have picked up on the accents, particularly the Brummie one though I wonder how different it would be from the present day to nearly 100 years ago.

Having Gypsy heritage I’m pretty interested in how its portrayed by the main characters. Found the times when they are speaking Romany hard to discern. Infact it sounded more eastern european romani than anglo-romanes as to what they should have been speaking.

Hoping for more stuff on bare knuckle fighting in the future.

Stevo. Soz for late reply. Yeah great car park and obviously some great places for biking.

Need to read up on wild camping in the Zillertal and we might go for a couple of months in the future.

If you’re in the centre of Sheff then I’d suggest Urban Chula on London Road. Indian street food.

3 days boarding on the hintertux glacier, Zillertal Valley, Osrterreich last week . After some cloudy snow days the blue skies opened and we headed up.

Full of Russian, USA, French and Norge Olympic ski teams training plus a couple of snowboard peeps. Was that Bodie Miller? Hmm, not so sure…..

No Ernie. Saw a recent photo of an armed cell from Gaza claiming to be ISIS. Is it verifiable? I dont know.

ISIS is operating in gaza but it seems to be a small group. People are claiming that Hamas has no control over these sub groups. I guess Hamas could see links between isis and themselves but i’m sure hamas will not want to come under the control of isis and remain independent but isis would obviously have other ideas about that.

The syrian civil war is a three way fight isn’t it? Assad/Hezbollah vs FSA/Islamic Forces & Kurds vs ISIS.

In some ways this whole conflict is a continuation of the cold war. The problems are in proxy states or former spheres of influence of the cold war belligerents.

As is the whole AQ problem with USA & Pakistan using Islamic forces to fight the Soviets in Afghanistan in the 80s.

Don’t quite understand Putin siding with the Al-Assad’s can be judged as being cynical seeing as Russia has long standing ties with Syria. Not only does Russia have a naval base in Syria it is also a big trading partner.
    Why wouldn’t Putin support Syria?

If you buy a natural drum kit you’ll have to think about pads to cover the drumsand cymbals unless you have no neighbours or the rest of your family enjoy hearing the dull repetitive beats of a learner.

I would suggest a second hand electronic drum kit off ebay. Easy to sell on and great fun and noiseless to other householders.

Cheers for the bikepark Phil. We’ll make a trip there.

Yep, hoping to hit zillertal as well. Don’t mind steep trails just don’t like the steep drops.

    cheers.

    Cheers for the info.

I’ve seen a few vids of some of the trails and some of the drops by the side of some of the trails look like that might induce the old wobble factor on my fine self.

The campsite looks great at galtur and only 10 mins from ischgl.

That flow trail looks ok though if every trail has comes with several precipices I think I need to look elsewhere. Call me a wuss but I’m not sure if its worth going to ischgl just for the flow trail.

have other places to look at in austria as we’re aiming to hit about 4 of them. looking at zillertal, kitzbuhel etc.

Heard AS is way bad if the weather is against you. Had a great sunny day. Both are good. BPW has way more trails to run at and way longer than AS hence the longer uplift.

I wish the roads in Sheffield were that good too? I am jealous. So much effort and money into this and for what?

Are they trying to bore the off road vehicles?

Just means they’ll drive faster now. Was thinking about putting a national speed limit sign on this trail for a laugh.

No I don’t use it for commuting, do a bit a round town in it though. It would be the main vehicle…. well the only vehicle!!

Torn between big space in the crafter but liking the look of the tranny.

Does anyone have a crafter, just wondering what its like on mileage … ditto on the transporter I guess.
