Do you want people who can only afford an £800 car coming to your house to view it?

Even better is when an American hears a Welshman say, “Can I bum a fag off you, butt?”

I’m gay so that would be so meta my brain would explode 🙂

Here in Wales I’ve heard “Love”, “Spa”, “Claert(?)” and not least “Butt”, which as an American I found rather confounding 🙂

You’re probably missing how it was made by indentured slaves who live in cells at the factory. You can read all about it here while sipping your frappucino in starbucks 🙂

Haven’t you worked it out yet? To quote Tracy Jordan, “If you have enough money you can do whatever you like”. The word “Privilege” is derived from “private law” and “Aristocracy” from “rule by the best” 🙂

Open on a Sunday. If you can’t stretch to this, have a van full of pads, tubes, tyres, bolts etc and hang around the local trails, you’ll make a killing.

Maybe do a collect and return service for people like me who are too lazy to clean or maintain their bike. I would gladly pay for my bike to be picked up on a Monday and returned to me fully serviced and washed on a Friday, ready for use.

Make sure you have at least one blackberry or smartphone so you can answer emails and phone calls immediately. There’s no excuse not to be able to do this in the 21st century.

Offer everyone who comes through the door a cup of tea. If nothing else it takes 10 minutes to drink, and that’s 10 minutes of looking at shiny bike bling, they might even buy something.

Connecting to a business database via wifi and telnet, christ I would get your IT team hauled over coals for allowing that!

Why not just peel them off? Why are you paying £16 to advertise for Fox?

Its a disgrace that he gets 2 million a year – there simply is no possible justification for that at all.

teh answer to super high wages – super high taxes.

this is taxpayers money he is taking

He’ll be paying 50% tax on at least £1,850,000 of that 🙄

I have a 5 with 36s up front and a CCDB out back, it’s incredible. So good in fact I ditched my DH bike and my XC bike and just ride this one now. It’s great up and down, whether that’s in the Alps, uplift days, all day trekking, whatever.

The balance of the bike does change with 36s up front instead of 130/140mm forks but I wouldn’t say it was for the worse, it’s much more stable on rocky downhills, which is why you buy a 5 and stick a CCDB and 36s on it, right? 😀

I think it’s great that the Olympics are being held in Britain, you should be proud. I’m not a true Briton but I’m proud.

As for who will benefit and what legacy the Games will leave, well I’m not so positive about that. A few companies will make millions of pounds, that’s guaranteed.

I’m reminded of 2010 when the Celtic Manor in Newport hosted the Ryder Cup. This event was heralded as a rebirth of the town, with millions of pounds being pumped into the local economy. What actually happened was the organisers shipped in their own staff, their own catering, their own transport (they didn’t even use local bus companies) and created a walled garden for the event. A few multimillionaires made more money, the rest of the people were excluded.

I wouldn’t worry about it too much, either way you’ll be getting a sweet bike. BTW I run a 50mm stem and 740mm bars on my 16, it feels great

Double + bash – no chewed ankles from the largely unused big ring, and a granny ring to winch uphill, perfect combination.

I’m 5’10 and the 18 felt massive, the 17 felt too big so I went for a 16 which seems to be perfect. Do you really care what it’s like in the climbs?

Yes definitely worth it, swapped out a pushed rp23 for one on a 5 and the difference is night and day. It’s better all round, not just on the descents.

the right time to buy is when you find a house you want to buy and make a home that you can afford.

This is really good advice. I would’t consider my home to be an investment vehicle (other than in the simplest of terms).

In my opinion it’s a great time to buy if you are buying in cash. Later this year will be even better when the recession really starts to bite. I would stay put if I was borrowing the money to do it though, the economy is in the shitter and will be for some time.

Edit: Don’t max yourself out, don’t take any risks right now

    – My investment portfolio has tanked so I have to sell one of my £150k cars 🙁

    – My downstairs iPad intermittently drops off the wifi network 🙁

    – My cleaner is ill so I’m living in filth 🙁

Ditched an iphone 4 for a blackberry bold 9900, it’s miles better for what I want (email and phone calls mainly) – web browsing isn’t terrible but it’s not as slick as on the IP4. Physical keyboard much better than onscreen thing. Battery lasts ages.

Sounds to me like the OP read Linux Weekly and got some ideas above his station, was bitchslapped by IT and now is just venting here about it. Don’t worry too much about it OP, when you finish school you might not take it so personally. If the OP isn’t an angry pus-faced teen I apologise and at the same time sympathise. Your poor colleagues 🙁

Perhaps OP is a troll? Sadly I fear not – see this unremitted wankery from a previous post:

‘m having a website built (not off-shored to India) and I’d welcome any bright ideas that you might have. It’s for a small, boutique management consultancy, with a growing amount of marketing and social media related projects. So it needs to be sharp, and it needs to look expensive to appeal to corporates.

Can second the E46 CSL, I had one, it was mental. Some chap offered more than I paid for it so I sold it. E46 was the best M3 imo (yes even better than the E30) 😉

Why not get something big and deeply unfashionable (read: cheap) like a vectra or signum or something?
