OP be thankful it was only a small bump and not something serious; your son still has a mum, that’s the important thing. Give your wife a big hug when she comes home tonight.

Yes, it is wrong. Yes, I would do the same if I earned millions of pounds a year (and deep down so would most of you).

OP I have to say the guy has a point, you’re buying a shitbox old 600 quid banger.

I was once mugged in the street for my car keys. I’d only had the car a couple of weeks. The police reckoned I had been targeted by a professional gang and I was lucky not to have been seriously injured.

It sucked, but it’s just stuff and can be replaced.

Hey nice one Ton. I had a difficult relationship with my father. He was a conservative Midwest American guy and didn’t know how to handle the fact that I’m gay. I wish it could have been different for us.

Still, I’ll tell you what was awesome today. My niece (not blood but I’m her “uncle”) gave me a father’s day card and a tie made of cardboard today. I’m not going to lie, I’ve been crying my eyes out, but in a good way.

You realise BMW employ more people in the UK than the manufacturers you mentioned combined, many times over, including at “British” icons Mini and Rolls Royce.

I don’t understand why people think this stuff should be free or cheap, and refuse to make any investment in it 🙁

The new gTLDs are just another extension of the extortion racket run by ICANN.

The notion that the TLD should represent the content of the site is something from the early 1990s. Do you buy your bikes from bikes.com or your cars from cars.com? Of course not.In the real world, TLDs and domain names are becoming more and more meaningless every day.

If you’re looking for a new pair of Oakley flak jackets with vr50 lenses, do you go to Oakley.com, Oakley.co.uk, Oakley.sunglasses, Glasses.Oakley, Oak.ley, Oakley.vr50.sunglasses.flakjacket? No of course not, you do what everyone else in the world does and Google for Oakley flakjacket vr50 then click the links that come up.

Company bosses are being asses, but I doubt this is worth kicking up too much of a stink about. If this happened to me I would do less work.

I usually ride in glasses but use goggles for the mega, there’s (hopefully) so much dust that glasses become useless quickly.

As for what type of goggles I usually go with Oakley O Frames, they are the best I’ve tried and cheap. Just make sure you get dark ones, I find light/patterned goggles give me terrible internal reflections in the lenses!

In the future callcentres will be supplemented (replaced?) by community self help. Look at giffgaff’s support model, it’s provided by its own customer base, for free. We humans are strange creatures!

I have loads of money and can do whatever I like, whenever I like. My life is great. I wish I had children though, I would swap it all for the chance to be a good father.

The media has alot to answer for in forming peoples aspirations in where to live. .i travel alot and ill tell you the uk doesnt have it so bad.

You’re not wrong there; I’ve lived all over the place and in my opinion the UK is the best place on earth to live.

Edit I guess I should qualify this somewhat:

    – Unlikely to wake up murdered in your bed
    – The weather sucks but extreme weather is rare
    – Healthcare and education are for the most part free and adequate
    – Clean cheap water!
    – Hardly any animals are big enough or poisonous enough to kill you
    – The countryside is on your doorstep no matter where you are
    – The people have a sense of pride in their nation
    – A largely benign and stable governmental system
    – A stable currency

I love these videos, if only because they piss the cyclists of this forum off. Keep it up lads!

It has it all: Coil shocks on Orange 5s, 160mm forks, dual ply tyres, it’s bike porn destined to offend the singeltrackati!

Local supermarket, for the amount you’re likely to take (less than a couple of thousand I should imagine) it’s not worth wasting any time chasing down the best rate.
