When riding the mahoosive berms on the Vink Line down into Chatel. Not sure how much g it was (probably minimal) but it was the only time i’ve ever felt like I was being sucked into a berm.

I did one on Teams last month.

Logged in. First person there. Got logged off by instructor as he had to wait and register others. This took 15 mins as 4 people were using their phones. (slumped on sofa…)

1 person clearly asleep during course.

Two 20 mins break. Total course was 1hr 40 mins (supposed to be 2hrs), so including waiting time for everyone to log in it was 45 mins………….

We all “passed”. To be honest the fella was fairly good but clearly doing this everyday is taking its toll.

but I’m loath to spend £20 on a tyre lever!

Its a tyre lever?…I always thought it was something else ;). Anyway there are a variety of something else’s you could try.

As above, a kindly gentleman was just driving past, knocked on my door and asked if I wanted my fridge removed. I replied yes. He said his name was Davies and did I have any other goods i needed removing. I replied no. he tipped his cap to me and carried on his merry way. What nice guy.

I suspect my fridge is now located in a hedge somewhere….

Not sure a 4yr old needs a tv in their room.

My experience is that the less “screens” they are exposed to makes for an easier and less frustrating life and bedtimes.

Unless of course you like them watching Tiny Pop in bed till they fall asleep…….in which case size is immaterial.

When you select a workout and press the play/start button it should display the serial number of your wattbike which you then select. I never actually “searched for it”

    Give that a go.

Ride somewhere where Strava really doesnt matter – like Woburn for example. Its so twisty and fun chasing your mates round there segment times are too short to be meaningfull.

I’ll let all the Stravaholics around Woburn know that this is the case………;)

I wouldn’t worry about it. Echoing above it may not be strictly in the “spirit” of scheme but in the last two years I’ve just bought bits and pieces through it. Highlights have been a Troy Lee D3 Carbon fullface and a waterproof duffle bag. The only bike i bought was for my daughter…..

With regards to commuting, its a benefit offered to you so you are entitled to it. You work place just happens to be at home..

We have over 600 people on site and a bike shed with 12 spaces….I know of more than 12 people who utilise the scheme….

I bought shimano 9 speed 12-36 last year for an old hardtail going 1x.

Pair it with a 30T chaining and it will do what you want for cheap. It’s even using a short cage 9 speed xt mech with no problems at all.

Just bought my daughter an Early Rider Belter 16.

She was on a “Halfords special” and couldn’t quite get it. It weighed near on 10kg! Within half hr on Belter 16 she was away. I was looking at Vitus 16 as well . Look very good value. I wanted second hand but kept losing out on Ebay.

Yes the Early Rider is expensive and yes she has no understanding of it being more expensive then any other bike but I like bikes and this has helped her out. We now go full bore around park for an hr a day. :)

Also I will defo be able to flick it on on Ebay for 200 quid when she outgrows it. So in reality 100 quid for a year of riding, that’s not bad.

Another bit of Pilgrim bashing by the singletrack massive………..

Brendan Fairclough is currently building dirt jumps at home to ride at home during “lockdown”

Matt Jones is doing the same.

    Are they “thick as mince”

Amazingly they are all mates with Pilgrim…..and rate him as a very skilled rider. Watch Bernard Kerrs latest “vlog”

Now someone will be along to deny that they have any knowledge of these people and they are not concerned about professional mountain bikers.

I will leave this ticking grenade of a post here…….

Like how this “mountain bike forum” is full of people who have never heard of a former downhill racer/ slopestyle competitor / freeride mountain bike world champion /rampage competitor / crankworx competitor /urban downhill rider who is sponsored by Monster Energy / Go Pro / Swatch / Haibike.

Just saying…apparently now going on someones Death List….

Met him once at Chicksands, seemed a pretty cool guy. (I know “cool story bro”…)

If you are caught with a knife ,it would be reasonable to assume there is an intent to use it. You get a custodial sentence. simple.

Yes we may be sending down people who are effectively guilty of nothing but carrying an offensive weapon but it would only take a few hundred to get sent down before these idiots get the message. You carry a knife you get a year in jail.

Where we would put all these people and what you would do to educate them is another question and no doubt would cost money. But there should be no price put on people’s lives especially youngsters.

oh and while I’m at it , turn off all social media, it seems to contribute highly to inciting “arguments” and what people are going to do about it. so no Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, snapchat, YouTube until you’re 30 yrs old. After witnessing two teenage girls on the tube going on about someone they were going to “slap up” because of a comment on some sort of media I dread to think what else is going on.

I bought the Acer 14 HD (250 quid model) last week.

It’s great and does everything I want. Not sure why I bothered with a windows laptop for the last few years.

    Buy one.

To the OP I suggest that rather than blaming Brexit, you concentrate more on not boring everyone with your first world issues of travelling around the world and angrily writing click bait titles whilst you stand in a queue. There have been queues in airports for as long as they have existed, it has got progressively worse since people decided blowing up planes was the thing to do. Personally Id rather queue then get blown up. It is what it is, just accept it and move on. Although I will agree with points mentioned above of why it takes some people so long to put stuff in a tray at security.

“England a third world hell hole” . Personally I have never been to a third world country but I’m pretty sure it is not similar to the UK of now.

Going by last year when I ignored the large amount of trees / brush around “entrance” and the fact I came across barb wire over trail I would say probably still off limits.

To be fair they were never really allowed and I’m sure the owners of the gardens at least two of them turn out into were not best pleased.

Of course if I was out there now I’d probably give it a go😉

If you want to scare yourself silly just pop off to the right on the way to les gets from top of pleney just before you get to the first tarmac road. The KOM on the strava segment is just over three mins. If you get down in under 20 you are significantly more skilled than I.
