How much are you expecting a 15kg dog to pull? Is it a Huski?
raincloudFree MemberJut for reference all milk that you buy in the supermarket / local costcutter etc etc is filtered. This goes for both plastic bottles / glass bottles and the random odd carton you find every now and again
Cravendale is not the only “filtered” milk.
Trust me I’ve changed / inspected the filter bags on a pasteurising plant many times.
The stuff in them is errrr…. interesting.
raincloudFree MemberI seem to remember about 6 or 7 years ago there was somewhere in the Italian alps that the Athertons were promoting that looked really good, and a little different but can’t remember the name of the place, although as I haven’t seen it mentioned again since maybe they didn’t continue to develop the summer bike riding.
Bit longer than 6-7 yrs ago…..;)
raincloudFree MemberNot sure if its just media hype but zelensky has got to be the closest I’ve ever seen to a proper ‘leader’ or ‘hero’ in my time. I’m sure he has his bad points too which aren’t reported on.
Ahhh yes he has many bad points that the mainstream media dont EVER report on. just have a look into his dealings with offshore accounts that him and his inner circle of generals etc are involved in, Pandora papers etc etc.
Don’t forget BBC say Putin bad , US good…..
Whilst the US do a deal last week to supply us with gas to “save us” after Putin ( cough cough US) blows up his own gas supply pipe …………………
The whole situation is totally f****** up
I can’t think of a single recent british pm which would have done what he’s done
With regards lining their own pockets I can assure you they probably have…
raincloudFree MemberYou seem to have forgotten the fact Gordon Brown became Prime Minister in 2007 through an unopposed election and some sort of “gentlemen’s agreement” with Tony Blair……
At least 86000 party members actually voted this time….
raincloudFree MemberI’ve been through all this before. Fit the cassette and chainring as it makes pedalling through town slightly easier. Don’t fit a dropper post though. We all did to do the Mega on DH bikes years ago thinking it would aid pedalling. It just ruined post as you’re not actually sitting with your weight directly down the post due to seat tube angle.
BUT….everyone used to push the fire road between Super Morzine and Avoriaz years ago. So I wouldn’t worry about that too much. There is defo some overthinking going on here. Its a lift assisted area for riding down hills, get on the lift and then ride down. I don’t go there to ride XC, I get enough of that for the rest of the year living in the south east.
Now…. on a enduro bike I can pedal around easily and ride Champery world cup track. ;)
raincloudFree MemberTake the Cotic. Its what you ride and what you are used to. Don’t overthink it. Its not like your going to snap the frame…
For the cost of renting a bike for 3 days you can add some big tyres and big brakes / rotors.
raincloudFree MemberI arranged Skiidy Gonzales for the family a few years back. I have been reliably informed the man who picks you up wears a sombrero for identification.
raincloudFree MemberI drove a Peugeot 106 into a telephone pole in 1999. Ripped out 5 peoples phone lines. Me and my mate got invited into some lovely ladies house who just had her dressing gown on and a clothes horse full of her “sexy” underwear. She made us sit down and have a cup of tea.
The internet did not exist back then so no issues there.
I never had to pay for the telephone pole.
This post is of no obvious use to you. Apologies.
raincloudFree MemberThe fact that only one or two pro riders use them (Bernard Kerr and…??)
I actually noticed he wasn’t wearing one this year, but yeah he used to. Can I name any others…err no I cant off the top of my head think of any.
raincloudFree MemberCan you “sack” a PT ?… surely you just stop going and dont pay them….
This thread is useless without pics…..
raincloudFree MemberWe have a Delonghi thing. Hateful machine , makes all sorts of noises, requires purging / descaling / filling up and much other nonsense on a daily basis. Has to have some sort of cup “nappy” placed under it for when it decides to expel water from itself for whatever reason. Cost £700 quid. My wife seems to like it.
I personally feel the answer to the OP problem is to get into those new fangled things called tea bags.
raincloudFree MemberSlightly off topic….
I was in a pub in Ruislip many many yrs ago. Jordan as she was known back then was in there. A known local shouty bastard asked her very loudly why she was going out with Dwight Yorke and not him.
She looked at him , pulled a very large rubber cock out of her bag and said ” Because he has a cock like this ”
True story.
raincloudFree MemberI have it on good authority that if you visit a certain gentleman’s club in Watford any payment made will come up on your statement as “Wizards Sleeve”
Explain that one to your other half………
raincloudFree MemberMate of mine “upgrades” his TV there most years by taking last years purchase back and saying remote control doesn’t work. Pretty sure he’s done this for nearly the last 10 yrs the dodgy barsteward….
raincloudFree MemberAll you need to know is does this guy have a dog and do you have any sausages…
raincloudFree MemberSee below link for door skin removal and lock replacment
https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=34343.0
I got about 2 yrs more life out of sticky central locking by removing small rubber bung in door and then dousing the door lock module with wd40.
It then totally failed and contrary to my link above just paid someone else to do it………..
Of course you may just have to get the bags of cocaine out in which case all this talk of door locks is useless
raincloudFree MemberThey’re good cars, just wish they did the vRS in 4wd.
They do but its only the diesel version.
raincloudFree MemberIn total opposite opinion of the above…..;)
Always used ice blocks. Bought a fancy big Outwell 240v one last year. Thought it wold solve all my problems. Total rubbish. Condensation and water all inside after a day. Didnt really keep anything any cooler or for any longer. Persisted with it for around 3/4 days, before just turning off. Constant low hum as wll whilst camping. Awful awful thing
Going back to ice blocks and old Halfords box for this years camping.
Although maybe I just got unlucky with it.
raincloudFree MemberIs it a petrol or diesel ? If it’s diesel did it have the oil changed in the gearbox at 40k miles ? I have an older DSG box in a petrol so no oil changes but VAG did swop and change oil types because of problems.
There is no differentiation to DSG oil change whether its petrol or diesel on older cars. every 40k for both. I have done this religiously in my MK5 GTI. (6 speed DSG) There is however some debate as to whether the newer 7spd DSG box needs oil changing or it is sealed for life.
If you have an old petrol 6 speed DSG I would be getting oil changed.
raincloudFree MemberHowever, we have a high turnover
Maybe Fun Friday is the reason for the high turnover………..;)
Anyway good luck with whatever you find to do. I do not envy you.
raincloudFree MemberI imagine everybody dreads “Fun Friday”…….getting to know everyone for over a year with games of Bingo on Zoom………..
How about you don’t organise anything. Trust me, everyone will appreciate it. You’ll be known as the greatest “Fun fridayer” ever.
raincloudFree MemberI don’t know who or what Aaron Gwin is, so I’m not sure if they’re local to me. Mostly just having fun, riding along, enjoying the view, not about to break any speed records!
raincloudFree MemberOf course, if I had a taser it would be easier.
Ironically you would taser someone though??
raincloudFree MemberWe have BB only. Price was going up and up over the years. Looked at cancelling last month. Called up and got auto message of we will give you 3.50 off (the price rise they were proposing), held on call for about 20 mins. Told them I was cancelling and got 16 quid a month knocked off no questions. I’m now paying less then I was when I signed up in 2014! £26 quid for 200mb
pricing and discounts etc really does make no sense. But Im happy with what I pay and have reliable uninterrupted service.
raincloudFree Memberthis plus calling rob Warner a professional athlete would be stretching the term somewhat. Brilliant commentator but athlete?
He was the first guy from UK to win a downhill world cup.
raincloudFree MemberNot much help but when my FIL died I just faked his signature and signed it over to my missus…..then we sold it privately.
raincloudFree MemberI love how all these comments and opinions are based on personal opinion rather than fact.
Read the rules, digest them and then you will see that there is no loophole and that elite athletes etc are only abiding by guidance that has been given.
What Brexit / opinions of the government have to do with any of it I have no idea.
oh and @thegeneralist aparently Im stupid……..nice fella you are…
raincloudFree MemberHeres something to ruffle the feathers of all the curtain twitchers.
You have no idea about any workplace risk assessments that have been carried out there. I imagine they have done this.
Furthermore there are no mandatory rules for wearing face coverings in that setting.
raincloudFree MemberIf you have been able to work from home the past year, continue to do your job as normal and then judge everyone else who’s trying to make a living who cannot then your a ****.
If you’ve sacrificed yourself to the cause and refused a wage because your job can’t be done from home then judge away
As above.
Being as I’ve been working in manufacturing on site along with about 650 people for the whole of these 3 “lockdowns” I really can’t see why he cant paint a bike frame and film it. As for keeping sponsors happy by doing Youtube I’m pretty sure he doesn’t have to do that as he picked his own and offers them far more value then they offer him.
People who expect Amazon to deliver and Tesco to be full of foodstuffs for them to buy online and be delivered to their homes by an unknown workforce of tens of thousands really need to pay more attention as to how the world actually works. Just imagine the outcry if Waitrose decided that “artisan sourdough bread” cannot be made and delivered to your home because it isn’t a safe environment to be made and they aren’t doing it anymore……
raincloudFree MemberCivilization……pah
Animal Crossing New Horizons is what all the cool kids play. I’ve even got a mortgage off that dodgy fella Tom Nook..
raincloudFree Member@raincloud That’s £80 for something that is normally £30. No thanks.
Dont buy it then. Also unlikely a Commercial gym branded decent 16kg or 20kg kettlebell has ever been for sale for 30 quid.
Original post was that you couldn’t find any for sale. I found you some.
No kettlebells for you this lockdown then
