Type in Tosside, this is the small hamlet where the trails start. You can park in the below pub car park which has a jet wash etc.

The Dog & Partridge Tosside Ltd
    Skipton, North Yorkshire BD23 4SQ

    01729 840668 ?

    Hope this helps.

No, we were there late March time, sounds familiar though!!!!. The exposed areas are Ok, it is when you get into the damp woods were it becomes tretchorous.

+1 on the slippy issue. When it is dry it is fantastic, but when it is wet / damp it simply aint fun. we went last year (3 experienced riders), i nearly had a horendous crash, god knows how I stayed on, one mate fell off twice, one quite hard, and the other had 2 small offs followed by a third horendous crash slitting his arm open badly. All crashed were tyre wash outs on the greasy surface.

Maybe we are just crap!, but it was like pure ice on some slaty sections. My brother went 6 months ago, again in the wet, and found it “interesting”

Definately worth a trip, but take care!

Great thanks Three Fish….it was my mate saying he had to get a special Truvativ BB for his Truvativ crank which puzzled me.
    Cheers,
    Off over to CRC website!

Moyles is expensive (ish) MBandB would be a good base for Lee / Crag Quarry, also only a 15 minute drive from Hebden Bridge.

There are a lot of people going on about how good CRC is, rubbish!. I possibly dont know of a better run business than CRC. Me any my brother have probably placed a hundred orders with them,99% of orders turned up the next day, well packaged, correct and the cheapest produce available in the market….oh and not to mention FOC on all deliveries and a complete no quibble returns policy. Moreover, I (and we) are all skint which helps me leen towards CRC also.

We have had to return a few items, other than having to trail to th PO it has been no hassle.

The thought of never having to go into my LOCAL! bike shops (except Cycle Gear in Halifax!) over than to get shafted for 10 minutes of labour! fills me with absolute glee!!!

Yeah check a medical forum…..and it will tell you you have cancer!. I agree does not really sound like dehydration, sometimes I dont drink enough and the only side issue I get is strong yellow piss! associated with mild dehydration. Suggest you go to the quacks or ask to see the registrar nurse….worth checking it out ?, I imagine if you feel Ok, and you are fit during the ride chances are you will 99% fine.

Alternatively replace water with a big sack of Gatorade or the like, drink loads of it during the ride and see how you feel thereafter.

No go for A Speshitlized Stumpi, there are hardly any out there on the trails!

Defo go for a Cube, they are relatively cheap, high spec and look the part. Good reviews on later models also. Plenty of discounted 2010 bikes out there as well.

Alternatively there is that Trek for £2k….nice looking bike.

    ANTHING BUT A SPECIALIZED
