wwaswas let me guess you idiot, you are middle aged and ride around on a specialized on the fire roads at gisburn like a stupid little prick thinking he is good for having a 120mm full sus.. oohhh and you probably let everyone walk all over you!!!

Northwind, thankyou. my fork sag is around 15% not what it should be at around 25% so i already run a hard fork, i do like to consider myself to be a bit of an idiot, and sometimes get alittle too excited when i see a big rock or near vertical chute.
Id rather sell a second hand 140mm fork for £100 than keep using it and snapping them in half and getting nothing for them.
So what do people think to this 10/4 that is being created 10 inch on the front and 4inch on the back???

So who are people slateing here, with regards to a 160 / 180mm hardtail, people are saying its stupid and no need for it, so is it Ragley they are slateing for making such a frame or the customers that are buying them? there must be a market for them otherwise Brant would not of designed such a frame, Brant stated there was a great demand for a 160 / 180mm frame after the Bluepig was born

Funny how he will not post an amp and it must be collected, probably because taht aint stolen, but he will post a complete bike for £20, and we all know what a pain it is to post a bike, unless you own a bike shop.

In a way i believe speed doesnt kill you. because the speed inpact is usually on the legs and i wouldnt say broken legs kill you, its what happens after that what kills you

Is that being hit by a car or wagon at 30mph, surely its what happens to you when you get hit determins wether you die, if you get hit then get your head run over by a 30tonne wagon wheels you will die, if you get hit at 30 by a Vauxhall calibre say for instance and go up the bonnet and fall off the side you will probably survive.

I couldnt agree more, i hate people driving at 20 in a 30 all it does is make me mad and i have to do more than 30 to overtake them so its the person doing 20 that makes people speed!
I was an undertaker for many years and at the end of the day thats life. people are born and people die, 1 in 1 out makes the world go round.
People will always drive faster than the speed limit so i have no idea why speed limits exist in the 1st place, its a case of using your common sence most of the time, and some people just dont have any, so why would a silly round sign make a diffrence

I find it quite stupid that the speed limit is 70mph on the motorway, it was 70mph when MK1 escorts and other similar cars on the road that used drum brakes front and back to stop and big metal pointy steering wheels.
Cars are probably 1000 times more safer now and stop in 1/4 of the distance and corner better and better mirrors ect ect so really the speed limit should be raised to 90mph, or atleast between the hrs of 10pm and 5am, iyts like traffic lights, at 10pm they should just all flash orange and its free for all untill 5am, nothing worse than sat at a set of traffic lights for 2 mins whilst nothing is in sight.
What should really happen in built up areas is if you are caught speeding eg 35mph in a 30 you get a £1000 find.
Also what i find rediciouls is speed cameras right outside a school, drivers are more intrested in looking at there speedos to make sure there doing 30 than watching for kids stepping / running into the road.
Its ok blaming the drivers, but id say half of fatel incidents with pedestrians is down to the pedestrians, that step out probably drunk or drugged up on a Fri or Sat night.

Honestly guys i dont have a problem with Ragley pulling the frames and sending them back, thats is brill and well done, what i do have a problem with is if they are made in the BEST tiawanese frame shops and they make so many mistakes ….well im sorry but i dont want anything they make, god only knows what would come out of a shite tiawanese frame shop! I also have a great problem with being bulled to by the distributors, if im buying there product i should have a right to know about these problems and be explained to with regards to the delay, not to be told ill still be receiving the frame on the 27th of this month knowing full well i wont be!! what if id chased this up because i was planning a trip abroad, they have not even been shipped out yet, there all made buts thats about it, and it normaly takes 8 weeks on the water if all goes well, so Hotlines know damn well they wont be here this month or even any time next month.

Brant, thankyou for taking on board im not slagging off the Ragleys at all i love my Bluepig and r Kevs Ti and Johns Ti but i am really niffed that Hotlines will tell traders that there is problems and then when i ask being told nothing is wrong, if you wish i will forward the E-mail to you that i recieved today.
may is around the start of summer and if they get delayed another 2 month its too late to be getting something else to build up for the summer really.
It was CRC that told me the Nukeproof stuff was coming in from the same place as the Ragley stuff and on the same shipment

6Lb isnt heavy for a frame if all i want to do is ride of cliffs, but when you need to get to the top of the hills in Calderdale before each decent it was a tad heavy, fine in Les gets and Morzine were they do it right and have chairlifts.

DaveyBoyWonder, yeh pal i did, but people only have so much patience. I sold 2 bikes to fund this mega build so i have no bike now, theres people on the Nukeproof forums kicking off about there frames too as you guessed coming from the same place.

I aint dobbed Freeflow in,they are only passing on information thats given to them, its Hotlines that arnt telling us whats happening, why today would Hotlines tell me that they are still due in this month and everything is fine? When clearly it is not fine.

Its the fact that us customers arnt being told the truth!! that annoys me
They didnt make the Troof last year, so how do you plan i do that?
What wait for another delay after May, nah.

    ragleyrider

It seems Hotlines are covering up alot of problems with the new 2011 model Ragley frames!!!
Spoke to Freeflow bikes up in Scotland yesterday to make sure my Troof frame was still due into the shops on the 25th March ( 3rd delay ) they spoke to Hotlines as a trader and Hotlines has told them there is yet again more QC problems! 1st of all these frames were welded together wrong due to the jig not being set up correctly at the frame shop in Tiawan, then the paint finish was rubbish and got rejected and now there is further QC problems and ALL the 2011 frames wont be arriving untill MAY, now will that be May of this year or 2012!!!???
But when i speek to Hotlines they are still telling me they are due in this month and there is NO problems with QC!
Ragley advertise there frame to be made in the very best Tiawanese frame shops!!! YEH RIGHT sounds like it, obviously they arnt so who knows were these frames are actually made? some 10 year olds bedroom.
So as you can guess i have cancelled my order and got myself a cotic.
I would suggest other people do the same if they are wanting a bike this year.

Either 2.5 Kenda nevagal stick_E which i think are the stickiest tyers on the market at 40a but wear down very quick because of it, i am now going to try the 2.35 Maxxis High roller super tacky on my Ragley Troof, alot of downhillers use the Super tacky so must be a good tyre.

Dropping my tyre pressure to around 10psi to do very steep slimy steps then not pumping them back up again and getting a pinch puncher!! Must go tubeless

That Troof is a BAGGER… shite colour, how can a hardcore hardtail look hardcore in a girly blue colour!?
Mine is going to be the vivid red frame with black 2011 Nukeproof kit should looka alot better than the one in the photo on here.

The Troof doesnt exist in this country as yet as far as i know, im waiting for mine to arrive, got the full Nukjeproof kit for it when it arrives, Hi Ed-O glad you are likeing teh bagger, just a tad too heavy for me at over 6LB, thought my Bluepig was a tad on the heavy side.

Well as seen as its the 160 ypou are buying you wont really be using it much for troddling around on, i take it its a trail centre / AM / downhill rig otherwise you would be buying the 5.
So if i was you id go for the 16inch.
But as you say you are right inbetween, my brother is 6.3 and he had an 18inch im 6.1 and i felt it was just a tad too big for doing techie stuff on.
Personnaly i wouldnt buy any orange, not a fan of single pivot bikes.
I have a Cube Fritz and its far far superior, and my biking mate had a 5 and sold it for a Cube Fritzz and never looked back, dont have a clue why MBR rate them so much, if you was to looka at aCube go for the 18inch.
What about an Ellsworth they are awesome too and i think they do a 17inch.
I think the 160 stock bike is pathetic value for money you have to upgrade nearly everything to make it a decent specced bike but then it enters a price point you have achoice of loads of lovely stunning bikes to choose from

Inners a million times better, basicaly its to the top of minch moor then its 95% downhill all the way.
There is a bit of aclimb to the top, but it is easy and not boring at all, very varied in terrain, open moorland, wooded section, rocky section, fireroad section, it will take you around 40 yo 50 mins to reach the top then around the same to finish with 3 amazing jumps and then the rollercoaster all the way back to the carpark
