Voted, but it won’t get back to the UK in time as it only arrived in Australia yesterday. Still, perhaps it will count towards a statistic somewhere

Tell me about it! I bought a pre-loved road bike and then spent nearly the same money again on shoes, pedals and one (one!) jersey in the shop.

Sydney CBD. The LBS is nice but pretty spendy.

I’ve got one, it’s ace. Really quick to heat up (can boil a pan of water in seconds) and as long as your pan is metal it’ll work

Did a curry in a cast iron casserole on it last night

G’wan Emsz! Four and a bit weeks in here. I can recommend the Alan Carr book, followed by signing up for a half marathon 😯

The chicken and egg if you want to make a living from site content is the content needs to be constantly fresh – the volume of traffic is going to come from people returning frequently. You need to be creating content frequently so that theres always something new to see. In fact there needs to be so much new stuff to see it would be chore to wade through it if you didn’t check in regularly. You need to be creating content all the time, not just in your spare time, which means it needs to be your full time job long before its paying you anything.

Which is why you get unpaid members of the public to do it, like on a forum or submitting ‘listicles’ on Buzzfeed and Huff Post

I was right on the beach at Bondi until last week, I’ve now swapped that up for some city living (surfing doesn’t suit me 😆 ) and I’m on Clarence Street

I’m about 10 minutes walk away down Pitt Street, so close but not in the exclusion zone

I was already in the office when it started, so all I’ve seen is on the live feeds.

The doors have been locked in our building and you can’t get in without a swipe card. People are looking a little worried

    Yeah I know 🙁

Last night I was out on a boat in the harbour, lightning all around… but never actually got rained on until just before catching the 333 from Oxford St at about 11. And then of course it had already passed through Bondi

May not be so lucky tonight

4pm Sydneyside. Another couple of hours work, training, then out for hotdogs and beers. It’s 30-ish degrees, which is lovely

There was something on TV in Aus the other night about Lyme disease – it’s not really recognised here apparently. Anyway this woman was really ill and then got better through heat treatment.

Same break, other hand (I’m a leftie). 6 weeks in plaster, couldn’t even pick up a glass after that came off. Another few weeks with some physio and back to normal
