Like i said hindsight is a wonderful thing i honestly didn’t know the standard compensation value was £20, ah well lesson learnt, the more annoying thing is i honestly believe the buyer has received the item but i have no way of proving it. No correspondence from him just a sudden Paypal dispute saying his item hadn’t arrived

I rode trials for years and only stopped about 18 months ago and if you are used to riding 26″ go for a 26″ trials bike is the bestvadvice i can give you. I started of in trials before switching to mtbs’ and the skills i transfered over has really helped me out, not so much in outright speed but more the balance and low speed control.
Visit http://www.trials-forum.co.uk there are alot of kids on there but generally know what they are talking about.
For new bikes visit tarty bikes.
If you need any other advice on parts or bikes send me an email

I think the FC has done an amazing job on the chase, my only gripe is some of the people who ride there.
I often take groups of 4 or 5 new riders there who are trying proper riding for the first time. Quite often large groups of riders will rudely overtake on the ups without so much as a good morning, we then inevitably catch them as they stop right in the middle of the trail before any slightest bit of downhill and fettle with their 4k bikes, adjust sispension settings, switch on their go pros and have a chat about how gnar they are.
I tend to pull in behind them and wait for them to zoom of so we can avoid the repetition of this for the whole day. They can see we are waiting on them, they wave you through only for the same thing to happen again 5 mins later. Just ride the bike FFS

Yeah checked all of those initially with no joy everything was set at maximum, got it fixed now, all it took was taking everyones suggestions and cycling each one on and off a few times as well as the side mute toggle and all is good in the world. Next step was to reset the devices.

I searched apple support forums and all i got was a load of techno babble, asked on STW and its sorted in 5 mins.
    Cheers everyone

Headphones are fine as they work perfect in my iphone. And have tried cleaning out the socket but found no debris, and as everything works as it should if you have headphones in and someone sends a message or rings, i am beginning to think that it may be a software issue as it is happening to both mine and my wife’s devices

Same age as my boy and also went from the rothan to the cnoc this xmas, i was amazed how quick he was cycling on his own ( half hour or so). My wife has now accepted that spending that kind of money on a kids bike was justified. So much so that she is now wanting a pink rothan for our daughter, and telling all her friends about balance bikes. Well done to your boy.

Like everything in life there is a time and a place. I was not smacked alot as a child, but when i look back on those times now i really did deserve it ( drinking, smoking, being a little prick). I am a father of 2 and would not hesitate if the situation arrises to give my kids a tap as a last resort. Does this make me a piss poor parent as people are suggesting? Or is it just a difference of oppinion? Each parent has their own methods of correcting their children. Is a child thats had a few smacks growing up destined to be a mindless thug as an adult, I think not. I understand that this thread will generate alot of debate and appologise for fueling the fire but some peoples closed minded views are quite annoying

Does it go direct to sram or does it need to go via the bike manufacturer that it came fitted on? Thanks for all your help so far guys.

its running on 80mm RS Jetts at the minute, i plan to knock the recons down to 100mm but also need some travel reducers if anyone has any lying around so i can experiment with the travel, I’ve had a look at those wheels and the problem seems to be as you said, sourcing a 15mm front. I guess thats why i have been drawn to the crossrides as they seem convertable

If she is in harrogate mate i was an instructor there not too long ago and i was also a junior soldier there at the age of 16, and i tried to leave a few times but my parents kept me at it, not because it was what they wanted but they knew it was what i wanted ( even tho i was having doubts). And i am extremely glad they did, but on the other side whilst i was a cpl there i did realise that there are some just not suited to the army. If she has just returned to the college after her first leave period, this is normally the time we had the most recruits attempt to leave due to home sickness, if you need anymore help feel free to pm me or my email is in profile.

I know in golspie the fees go to the upkeep of the trails and also in learnie. I do understand there is actually no legal requirment to pay for it but ( apologies for stereotyping) it seems to be those that drive really flash cars/vans and ride stupidly expensive bikes that don’t think they have to pay for parking. Its surprising the amount of mercs and beemers with bike racks that you see parked about 200m away from trail centre car parks

Make sure the collar is only finger tight and ensure your seatpost clamp isn’t too tight either, if none of this sorts it you may need to add air to the post
