Is it just me or does the difference between -2’c and say -8’c feel pretty similar? I find that once it gets bellow a certain temp then anything colder doesn’t feel much colder. If that makes sense?!

I’ve tried letting all the air out and pumping them back up but it’s still the same. The rockshox manual just gives generic info and nothing about which way the switch should be facing when locked out. There is a small icon on the switch with an arrow pointing to a padlock which surely means that way is locked out. Which it was, and then it wasn’t?!

I’ll get onto them this morning. Strange as they seem to work fine apart from that

The bounce test kind of went – Bouncy bouncy then locked out without me touching it! Now the switch is working backwards

Ordered a bike. Turned up 2 months before the expected date. It did however come with a slightly different spec from the advertised spec. They gave me a generous gift voucher to compensate.

I did a 3000+ meter ride in 50ish miles a few months back. Its easily doable if you link together Goyt Valley, Hayfield, Chinley, Macc Forest, Edale etc etc.

EDIT – it was actually closer to 2,600m in 54 miles. I headed back home then but my friend stayed out for an extra 15 miles or so and did over 3,100m

I’ve dropped them an email and I’m still waiting for a response. I thought if someone on here reads this that has been in my position before, I may get a quicker response. I cant get to a phone until after their closing time.

I’ve been a victim of this on a few occasions. I do ride a fair amount, commute 5 days a week with a midweek evening ride and a long one at weekend too.

Don’t know if it’s a coincidence but I seem quite suspectible to colds/sore throats especially after huge efforts. For example an 8 hour mtb ride on Saturday (Fighting the bonk at the end) followed by a high intensity road ride on Sunday for 3 hours. I’m now full of manflu :-(

I’d just gone 1×10 and wondered how much top end speed I had lost.

Long downhill road with a steady gradient and a strong tailwind, and thought let’s see how fast I can spin.

Just make sure if you get a 30t chainring that it is compatible with your cranks. I’ve just gone for a 32t and just about got away with it (the chain might foul the cranks where they are bolted to the chainring if your unlucky).

Went out for my first ride since changing from 2×10 XT last night. 11-36 gave me more than ample range. Chain didnt drop either over some extremely rough ground. I’ve got a Hope N/W and a clutch mech (didnt have the clutch turned on either…)

Just used AO for a full new kitchen appliance set. Brilliant

Yep its a 92mm width. So guess it’s just some spacers/washers to shim the chainring inwards a little

Just took my cranks etc off and there doesn’t appear to be any bottom bracket spacers? Is this normal? Ive got a shimano press fit BB71 bottom bracket.

If it helps, my chainline is straight when in the big ring and the 8th sprocket at the back.

Assume i’ll need a way to shuffle the chainring inwards a little to make it more central?
