Greek here … as others said forget mykonos santorini and prety much most of the cyclades especially July August. Since we are in a cycling forum let me suggest Kos island . Easy access with lots of charter flights and all inc packages and cycling is popular with most of the town and surrounding beaches accessible by rental bikes. A small selection of decent trails in the (one and only) mountain above main town and you can easy get rental mtbs/emtbs also giuded tours. The three island tour to 3 nearby islands is a must and main town is more than lively. Again try to avoid August ! September 10th is the start of the school year in greece and things slow down a bit

logedin to give a +1 for Specialized Vita ! my wife is into cycling having a carbon road bike a FS 29er Specialized and a vita , it’s the chapest of the 3 but if you ask her what is the 1 and only bike to have she will not hesitate to pick vita.

Basic rack and paniers was ok for multiple 3-4 day’s vacations in BB and more than 50km per day.

It will NOT be recognised from strava as BT HR , despite being one probably due to marketing mambo jambo with the default app.

BUT there is a workaround (for androind ) using the free OruxMaps app.

You set the band to be discoverable and start recording a workout with the default app so that the HR sensor will start working and broadcasting data to the phone.

Leaving the default app running you open the oruxmaps and under sensors you find the BT sensor and activate it (for the app). Now you can start recording the ride with oruxmaps . At the end when you stop recording there an option to upload the ride to several online apps including strava. The first time it will ask for user/pass and that’s it .

The 18” is perfect for my 1,85m high and since the original photo I’ve added a reverb dropper post and a different saddle.

It’s more or less my main rig as my rocky mountain etsx stays @ home .

Very different feeling coming from a XC FS but nice and interesting. It makes the usual paths close to home a new experience.

I need to see how I’ll feel after a longer ride ( more than the usual 25k ).
