Pussywillow admits selling fakes as real on this forum.
This is a criminal act no?
No because PW is a poor troll, just posting something to try to get a rise.

Moderators ignore this and allows thread to continue.
    Am I missing something here?
Yes the fact that PW is a total troll, well actually a very obvious poor troll really
(don’t worry about it, I posted in a thread the other day before I read it properly and realised it was obvious troll being obvious..).

    Who’s trolling?

I’m just being honest, I made some money, I got positive feed back after it so the buyers must have been happy. I kept some myself, if you look at the genuine ones they have better zips, and the material is better but they’re still good for £22 a pair, I sold them for roughly £45 a pair, and that was after all fees taken off, so business is good business :D

I would wait it out until the market comes to it’s senses again and realises nobody’s buying into there marketing bullshite and have to revert back to the 26″….it will happen, mark my words

I made some good money two year ago with them, bought a batch full and sold them on for nearly twice the price on eBay, I thought it’d only be a matter of time when they catch up with me so stopped doing it, even if I had got caught I’d have just said I didn’t know they were fake, as they are a good match although the fake ones are deffo cheapo made cos the zips break easy and the material rips easier

The women in China I bought them from doesn’t advertise them as troy lee so gets away with it, I advertised them as troy lee though as gets the punters in dunnit!

Ha, what a crock of shit! Fox forks are the weakest, most prone to wear forks on the planet!

And there is why people in the bike industry who sell them rave about them, it’s a guaranteed constant income!

Where’s loco? He normally defends them? and is also known for trolling!
Perhaps he is the op???

Buy a heart rate monitor that has audible alarms, know your threashold, get it to beep annoyingly when you push above it. For reference my threashold is 180 much more than 5 mins above that and I seriously risk blowing up, though I can and have maintained higher for longer, depends on how rested / fuelled / well I am.

it says that Giant can’t make 29er work very well around their suspension
Odd, I have an Anthem 29 and after mountain biking for 20 years and god knows how many bikes (39 at last count) over the years, It’s the best bike I have ever ridden, so I’m not quite sure who thinks the design doesn’t work.

I use it as one bike for all tasks, does race duties at Elite level with light wheels, trail centres and day rides in peaks and dales etc. with a slightly more bomb proof set. for me it’s a great bike, much better than the 26″ version I used to have.

Why do people get peeved that their bike is discontinued? It won’t make any difference to it,

Resale value is definitely a factor… A used Five lost about half its value the day they announced it was “obsolete”, partly because new stock went straight in the sales and partly because fickle mountain bikers don’t want the old model, even if yesterday it was the new model. If you bought a Five the day before they announced the 650b Five, you took a knee square in the assets.

Why does that matter? Well, for most people with a decent bike, the value of that forms a part of the budget for their new bike. If my last bike had taken a big hit on value, I’d not have been able to buy my current bike.

The other thing is just parts transferability- the wheels and forks in my hardtail have been in at least 4 different frames, but if I buy a new frame tomorrow I’ll need to replace both (and again, the old parts are already worth less). So again it hits you in the wallet. And ironically, will probably mean I buy less bikes/bike parts for the forseeable future.

    · 26-inch for sure, but 29-inch will be dependen on market feedback.

Since when has the industry ever listened to market feed back! This is why it’s back fired on them,
They got too greedy, nobody wants big daft wheels and nobody asked for 650b which is hardly any different to 26″ wheels! Amen brother.

My point is that these surps were deluded into thinking they were faster than us going down these jay tracks which we only used to get from a to b, to get to the proper secret lines, but they were trying to get past us at the start of every descent thinking cos we didn’t have our neck braces and full faces that we must be crap! How wrong they were! 8)

How did you do on the Champery WC DH track? Tough isnt it! So so steep. Would not like to race it! Did you do the final part after you get to the road? Theres a really nasty drop into the woods there. Must admit, I didnt make that – was end of day though

    POSTED 1 DAY AGO # REPORT-POST

Yeah was good man! Made it a bit harder cos it was pissing it down, certainly not the hardest thing I’ve rode down but was fun passing all the serps who had pushed in front of me at the top cos they were disillusioned cos I didn’t have the neck brace or full face on,

Why all the hatred of trail centres ,

Because PW is a fairly poor troll?
If he rides like he Trolls I can see why he has to avoid trial centres – far too scary
    POSTED 16 HOURS AGO # REPORT-POST

Mikewsmith, I’ve noticed you seem to comment a lot on my threads, and quite rude towards me and my riding, if you really think I’m a Shiite rider then why not come ride with me and see if your man enough to ride down some of the stuff I ride???

Ok peterpoddy, I’m a man of my word if you or any one else on here want to prove that I’m talking shit and my riding isn’t up to it to qualify that fox are Shiite then I openly offer a ride off, which will envolve proper mountain bike trails that I would say a descent set of trail forks should be easily left undamaged, fox forks are weak and shite, will you accept my ride off to prove my theory or will you stick to being a keyboard warrior, the choice is yours pal???

    You’ve asked two different questions.

    (a) What is a proper mountain bike?
    (b) What do people class as mountain biking?

    POSTED 7 HOURS AGO # REPORT-POST

What is a proper mountain biker, or what I should have said is what do you class is proper mountain biking.

You must be clearly bull shitting there

Fox Forks are by far the weakest and most vulnerable to damage/wear than any one other by far!

I must have serviced 20+ sets of Fox forks this year (I’ve done 3 this week). I’ve probably seen the inside of more forks in general than all but the Big Boys like Loco and TFTuned.
I’ve only ever seen one set of worn Fox forks which are actually sitting in my garage as I type. They’re 8 years old. I’ve done the seals and a service and I reckon they’ll go into double digits as they are. Which is pretty good in my book

In the end if you turned up taking the piss like you describe in a shop I was in I’d tell you to piss off. No need to be nice as your not actually a customer.

But how would you know I wasn’t going to but anything!?

I went to my LBS recently to get some XT brakes and have them fitted.

Asked the price £110 per end. I then asked if they would price match online to which they said they couldn’t. Fair enough, so asked if they would fit them for free if I bought them there and then. No, fitting was going to cost £20 per end.
I then asked what they would charge to fit brakes I supplied… £20 per end. So I bought them online and saved myself £60!

    Seems a bit backwards really?[/quote]

    Exactly my point!
please don’t tell the mods on me,

I would ride any of the three sizes but I will not be buying again until the current situation regularises and we know where the manufacturers are going to settle down. If I had to buy now due to breakage a rigid ss 29r would be my choice. I think 29 is probably the one size that will survive the present fiasco and someone whose riding is dominated by rolling hills it wouldnt sem to offer significant shortcomings.

I think 29r is most likely to survive due to the quantum of recent industry investment and marketing spin. If 29r dies then there is a risk of a pr backfire around the whole larger wheels are awesum message.

The most likely casualty would appear to be 26r at the minute. If i dont buy any more kit i can probably live with dumping the remnants in 3-5 years when i expect we might start to see a reduction in good tyres and riims if 650b fills the small wheel role very quickly.

You buy your bike with it’s resale value in mind? I buy mine cause I like the way it rides, if you’ve chosen the right one why would you think about selling it, I think your priorities are wrong, don’t most of you think ride & fun first & wring your hands about resale second?
