Didn’t bother with a FF but did wear goggles which raised a few laughs at the top. The laughing soon stopped when everyone’s eyes were streaming and I could still see where I was going

Good point is this! Wearing goggles is practical and not overkill as it stops shite getting in yer eyes, whereas full face just looks rediculous and is not needed! Full stop! I see people wearing them all the time going 5mph downhill! If yer going to come off at that speed then you need no more than a trail lid! This is my opinion though.

This is a very good point! Yes it was a good event and yes it was well organised but I think all pinhead is trying to say is it isn’t a DH course! And he’s right, it isn’t, and what’s happening with the sport is kids being mislead, then doing a “proper” DH course and ends up being out of his depth! Good point pinhead! Every ones entitled to there opinion whether it tarnishes a thread or not. So what! Big deal! It’s a forum FFS. Get over yerselves…. Pussywillow – when you say Red Pike do you mean the one overlooking Buttermere, that starts with a red coloured natural chute leading into steep rocky trail down to a tarn heading towards Buttermere? Always fancied that one myself. I know what you mean about Dollywagon – basically a flight of steps. Rosset is good though, or was a few years back – might be ruined now.

Yeh I’ve done dollywaggon, to be fair I’m looking for Sumat more tech, not knocking yer riding or owt, just that I prefer more trialsy tech, more Steep an boulderie where u have to have some skill bout ya to get through it!
