I picked up the trail version. Sized down from large. Really capable and fun bike. I would say on steep terrain it is one of the only AL frames that is close to the Moxie and Hello-Dave.

    Nice PSA.

That pinkbike review was negative but I found that same model really capable in steep terrain which left me wondering about the review.

Such a great fork. Has so much traction over rough terrain. I took mine to Dyfi and was really impressed with it on my trail bike.

Tried all versions of the Argotal and the Endurance seems to be the best all round. Great grip at bike parks and off piste and still rolls fast.

I hit the Edinburgh pump track before the rain. Have a Saracen CR3 in long size.  Heavy but works well. Handles some big drops around Edinburgh. Also makes commuting to work fun. Great workout!

I crashed in some recently around the Ochil hills and my gear still smells of garlic.

I was up there last Thursday minus bike, probably the only dry day that week and it was still really wet underfoot around Weem. Heading up for a few days again with the bike towards the end of the month. Hoping for better weather then. Even in the wet though, top of the world runs well.

Took me a while to get going but a week at DYFI was a good kickstart.

Looking at the geo it looks like it will be great on the Dh too.

These have the geo of the mmmbop? Which is also a very capable HT.

    Looks rad.

I carry a small pouch in my bib that has celox, a swat-t tourniquet that doubles as wrap for the celox or gauze. Yes some aspirin. Longer rides will carry a flat sam splint in my backpack and a 2 pers both bag.

The endurance casings roll fast and plenty strong. I used two at Dyfi in the wet and never wiped out once. If I was on my usual DHF/DHR2 I would be on my arse down the original DH lower.

That frame is a monster truck. Really good suspension. I would say a much better descender than the new one. I had the 2020 VRX full build and it soaked up most things in the UK and the Alps. MBR have a nice review of it and the bike handles rough terrain brilliantly as demonstrated in the video.

These work really well. I had them at the Dyfi uplift in the wet. Combined with deity deftraps, never lost a foot all day. Pretty good for walking around all day as well.

So tightened the endcap up snug and then some. No more creaks and barely any side to movement in the saddle now.

Thanks for the insight above. I just noticed the creak on pedalling with my 240mm post. There is a bit of side wobble as is the case with these. Time to pull the post anyway. A winter left in a steel frame. I pray.
