the Problem with the week before is when you need to wait two weeks for some parts

Pretty Much if your not after a win and just to finish respectfully then Long back to back days in the Saddle. I did the TW this year had a fitness plan all worked out then was injured so could do much riding untill a month before the event, but during the winter I had put in a lot of miles and back to back days.

As for specific training go out and do lots of LOOOOONG boring fire road climbs as there are loads, these are what I found the hardest.

Bike and kit prep if you have more than one bike select the one your going to ride and pretty much only ride that and get your set up right now. About 3-2 months before get it serviced and take it compleatly apart all nuts etc bearings replace anything that maybe worn. and renew your drive train chain Casstte chainrings. once serviced keep riding it so that its all bedded in nicley.

one other thing to factor in which I have been told is that in the unlikley event of the aircraft becoming a smoking hole in the hill side, knowing were everybody was sitting can aide in identification. How true this is who knows but sounds sort of plausable to me.

I got Scared t'other day was riding down a hill through a fiekd that usually has sheep in however this time it had a load of horses in each with a foal. this field is on the side of a hill and the exit gate and most of the field is hidden behind a copse didn't see the horses untill to late about 6 came for me proper shat me self i did.

Ride wise for me it was a dead heat also, in the end it came down to price the Hecker I wanted came in at just under £2.5K where as the 5 pro came in at £1800 (about 4/5 Year ago) the 5 won plus brownie points with Domestic HQ

It's For just over £100, as far as I was concerned I paid my fees in full By a Large deposit before hand and then a small top up after the house purchase. The Letter I got basically says that whilst putting my file into long term storage it was noted that 2 item's cost slightly more than quoted for and was not noticed untill this filing process. If i could pay at my earliest conveiniance I would be appreciated.

I am aware that things can cost more than quoted and bugeted for this but a year after the event is taking the Michael and it is not convienient for me to pay as my forks need a service

IMO if your close to cannock then do cannock went to Llandegla from cannock although it was fun It wasn't worth the drive.

Loads of Tracks around not overly technical my fav route is

Cherhill-Avebury(cafes but expensive)-West Woods (singletrack to be had here)-Marlbourgh (More Cafes)-Barbury Castle (no Cafe been burnt out)-back to Avebury then home.

Just pick any Bridlepath that heads in that direction and you'be fine

It does seem that schools are after your money in some way or another usually x amount every month for a disco here, wear what you want day there, easter bonnet parade. etc I don't mind paying it as in the long run it is usually spent on something good for the school. in the case of my school it is usually something outside the norm eg my daughters school had a circus school visit for a day and everybody learned to circus stuff, a lot of parents thought this was just spunking the day away goofing off (the pushy parents who think teachers are employed to just look after THEIR little Darling) I thought it was great as it when you actually looked at it the teachers were also using this to support learning (how many balls could you juggle, what was the total distance walked on the tight rope of the class etc)
In the end it gave those 6 years old that can't do calclus the chance to shine if you no what I mean.
Teachers know what they are doing they have spent years in training and any teacher worth their salt can find a learning oppurtunity in almost anything.

Might Be worth ringing your section downthere to see if they all ready have some bikes there. Last time I was down the gym had some Spec HArdrocks down there you could borrow. There is a Off road track that Runs parallel to the Mare harbour road nothing exciting. There are some bits of single(Sheep)track that go from mare harbour near to were your building is/was to Bertha's beach (Not the Main trak that the Land rovers use)However it is may and the weather will be Shite. There won;t be much wildlife when you get there but come Aug Sept it all starts to kick off My Personnel recomendation is to go to the Neck at Saunders Island Gentoo, Rockhopper and King Penguins, Plus Albatros and Elephant Seals I did 2 days R&R there Fanbloody tastic. I got a Cheap one from SJS Cycles off Ebay for (if I remeber rightly) £60 ish Had it for 6 weeks now about 4 hrs a week seems ok for me not the quietest off things but it works for me depends on where you are going to use it I have been relegated to the conservatoy It is loud in there but no one in the house is affected by the noise they can hear it but its not annoying and the neighbours can't hear a thing.

I'd much rather be out on my bike but Mrs College work means I am on Baby sitting duties weekdays

Good programme I enjloyed it, I really liked ED's SKI's which he could attach together to make a snow board.

A Darn good soaking in WD40 sorted mine (eventually)next step was either heating or icing but can't remember what expands contracts more Steel or Aluminium (sp?)

the issue is that I want a big platform to put my gert big clod hoppers on when the going is rough and not fanny around with a small cage trying to get clipped in ( if you see what i mean) Long distances rides need to be more pedal efficent SPD's are the way to go I have heard?
