    I agree – it’s madness that MTB XC racing / events are not advertised well.

    Have a look here for info:

    I’ll give it a another go tonight. Normally I don’t have any probs – was running low on caffine and garage fettle time! They are a tight fit on the rotor tho so maybe a few rolls down local hill will sort that 8)

    Girlz can do it too… My 3yr old daughter getting good on scoot. She has mastered the classic DH’er rest position on the bars while explaining where and how she is going to ride the next bit…

    Doesn’t get that from me 8)

    I also recommend Anthem. I changed to DT wheels / Hope hubs and low riser bars and it can tackle any trail / race other than hard out DH. I’m still running 3 rings up front – the big ring is just a bash with teeth anyway 😀

    At risk of hijacking thread;
    Krixmeister – I’m based in Northumberland (Just south of Kielder…), anyway I get out to Singapore a bit (I am here at the mo) for work. Can you recommend some MTB trails etc… and any info on local scene?

    Cheers.

    Bandito; MTB’s are designed to be dinged!! aren’t they ?!?!

    Getting tools back out for another go now I have a cuppa 😯

    Cheers. I’ll have another look at post but I think it’s lower down. Just standing next to bike with brakes on and putting some good pressure on non drive side pedal makes frame creak. It sounded BB’ish but have relubed most bits and was still there so put new BB and pedals on just to rule that out.

    Bing, maybe you’re right – knackered… but it would be cruel of me to inflict this creak on others even for cash.

    What you need is an old front hub with QR (or mega cheap 2nd hand), U bolt or stainless jubilee clip, and length of unistrut. Using U bolt/clip attach the hub to the unistrut and thats it! Lay the assembly across the back of car/van/pick-up/trailer deck and you have QR mounting point for forks to support your bike upright. Just leave in garage or wherever when not in use – Simples!

    I have even made a roof rack this way (20 years ago as poor student!)- BTW; if anyone starts making these and flogging them I want a cut 🙂 !!

    Have you got an alarm system? I agree with Wors – if you make it look like Fort Knox it'll attract attention.
