My lad had a Rothan at 2, by 2 1/2 he was zooming down hills with his feet in the air, he's now on a Cnoc, never needed stabilisers

More Flinstones than Mac Gyver, mended a chain on a hire bike in the 80's, in the bottom of Langdale, with a big rock, held out over stake pass, through Borrowdale and back to the shop in Bowness. Strangley this didn't put me off mountain biking, it all seemed part of the challenge!

There are some good relativly flat tracks near Consiton, along Yewdale, and alongside the lake towards Torver, pretty much an out and back route though.

Our lad had a Rothan at 18 months and a Cnoc for his third birthday, he was peddaling by the after a few weeks.
They are great little bikes, well made, light and functional, proper bits of kit, just like your own bike.
