Had similar all this year, so Nice Mr AA man called out, firstly AGR valve blocked, cleaned out and engine stated and ran for quite a few weeks, then it wouldnt start, AA again and Same problem some agr cleaner from Halfords in fuel and load of crud out the back, and worked again for a few months, then it went again, agr disconnected and it worked till it went again, garage cleaned out agr valve and something connected to it, said may be worth replacing, and then it wouldnt start again AA man again, computer said key fault, new key, £175, or £95 £65 or £45,strange how a key has so much value, new key and no problems since, just passed its MOT no faults at 174,000 miles and nothing replaced, try a new key and agr cleaner in tank and speedy acceleration in the dark on a quiet road and look for a black cloud of crap out the back.

A few years ago ARGOS delivered a settee to a neighbours of the householder i was working for, asked me to call her when i saw an argos lorry, as she had the key to neighbours house.

Argos shifters turned up, i shouted neighbour, she opened door for them and pointed out which room the settee was to go in, and then went into the garden to finish a phone call.

AS i watched they got settee half way into house, then it got stuck on front door handle, so they shoved a bit harder and ripped the back, i shouted neighbour that they had ripped back of settee, and the neighbour got told report it as damaged and youll get a new one delivered, but we cant take the damaged one back as its a pick up not a delivery and we only do deliveries, never did find out f she got a new settee or the old one collected.

oh and any adult caught running except for the above i posted should be arrested as theyre obviously a criminal running from the scene of a crime.

Joggers dont do it, you look silly and stupid, its not big and clever, and your parents are ashamed of your behaviour, get a bike or walk properley.

The only reasons an adult should run are to get away from danger, a wild animal eg lion, to catch a bus/train and to get to the front of the queue at the supermarket .

Running or fast walking = jogging should be banned as of no intrinsic value to society.

Jogger at fault for not obeying the above

Strangely nobody has noticed or understood the reason for the pay freeze may be when a lot of public sector jobs are Tuped over the capitalist companies they will not want to pay more and paying more means bigger pensions and NI to pay.Its happened before in numerous council and government run workplaces, also eeping wages low increases the staff turnover and reduces the need for new staff as workers are told to do more.

Its inevitable companies like serco and virgin capita and more will be rewarded handsomely once corvid, goes slow, by being almost given huge parts of council services along with the nhs and Police/fire and ambulance, all being nicely split up into smaller easily sold units, think BR in the late 80,s and the National Bus company.

Instead of saving money now by cancelling HS2 reducing the amount paid to TFL, mothballing cross rail and stopping all new motorway building along with the huge waste on defence, and most importantly a pay cut for all MPs.

Care home we worked at about 12 years ago septic tank discharged to soakaway and then into a local stream eventually, EA traced it back, and made Care home install new septic tank bigger then before, new electrics and also a bigger soakaway, cost them a lot of money.

few years ago reported an LGV driver fir being an idiot, sales department answered the email, and said it would be passed on, so thought just ignored, a week later Health and safety manager from the company emailed, apologised, and stated driver had been taken off driving, was being retrained and had been disciplined, and all their drivers suddenly drove with consideration to other road users.

From experience it was largely women focused as a career and all about gradings from basic grade upwards, while quite interesting,if you get into the right department, hopefully training will see you work at lots of care settings and not be all classroom based,so you get to try different workplaces and looking at various clinical conditions.

its not my house and never will be,sadly,

its owned currently by an old chap who wants to sell off his rentals, but should he spend some money on redecoration orand a kitchen or sell quick and loose some money.

So do magnolia walls and white doors add to the resale price along with a basic kitchen and white goods or sell as a do er upper as stated above by someone.

Me id sell as it is, let somebody find all the faults youll find as you start painting and tidying up as well as the disruption of adding a new kitchen.

avoid OSB roof and floor its like shredded wheat useless in the damp, when shed arrives coat underside wit Creocote quite a few coats and allow to dry, as you’ll never see that again.

Fit gutters, and down pipes and builders band or strapping to secure the roof down, ply line and insulate inside.

Strong door, strong hinges bolted through reinforced door frame inside.

Alarm to house, lighting, paved area outside door.

From experience of doing kitchens, and working in peoples homes for 30 plus years.

1, if youre having a huge fridge freezer ensure it can get through the back door or into the kitchen, via other means, upvc doors have wide frames so have a smaller opening than normal doors.

2,just because the sink is fitted don’t wash the pots in it as it may not be connected, it will flood the floor.

3, self leveling is best done last thing before builders go, so little chance somebody’s going to walk over it to the sink above,so don’t enter room till you’re told its set.

4, if the power is switched off, remember you’ll have no land line phone if its a portable phone, or internet, or tv, and dont turn on power or any switch on fuse box unless you ask the builders if its ok.

5,have a kettle handy for the builders, with tea bags and coffee and milk available, as well as lots of cups, preferably on a tray so they all get put back.

6,mark the walls where you want plug sockets, decide where you want lights.

7,move cars away from the entrance to your property, as trying to drag heavy tool boxes and tools and kitchens past cars is a pain.

7,if you’re expecting kitchen fitters, plumbers, tilers, electricians, best to advise the neighbours especially if they’re likely to need to get out of their parking space/drives.

8,a dust sheet or blanket hung over the door from the kitchen to other rooms in the house may stop a lot of dust being blown around, as well as one on the floor just outside the kitchen.

9,builders like fresh air and doors/windows open, so expect to turn the heating up in rest of house to keep warm.

10, keeps pets and children away, power tools and electric cables dont like pets and children as they try and injure them.

Liverpool created a unicycle lane at sefton park.

wirral created one parallel to an existing cycle lane on the sea front at new brighton , with bollards, pity the fools didn’t realise i that it often flooded so would wash the bollards that they didnt anchor down would be washed away, so they threw out about 2 miles of bollards after a few months.

Also i liverpool i give you west derby road, and the classic that is brownlow hill at the start of a steep hill.

Best not to mention the chester bus and bike lanes on the route past the hospital or from Boughton into the city centre, residents just dont understand.

oh naand measure every door and check youve got the correct sizes, as doors will not be replaced once the plastic sheeting is off them, 2 doors in almost every house are usually smaller than others, also check the thickness, as metric doors and fire doors are thicker, than imperial measurement doors.

No wonder its quiet for for fitters at the moment with all you lot diying it.

Electric plane a must, and a hand plane, a tool belt, wedges, decent sharp chisels inch and a half for hinges and 3/4 inch for latches, a 25 mm flat bit and electric drill, electric screwdriver and extension bit,25 mm broomstick about 12 inches long, box of screws for hinges, and screws for latch and handles, throw away the crap screws that come with them the heads will snap or screw snaps half way in, squirt some wd 40 into box of screws and replace lid and shake, makes screws go in easier, coloured tape or masking tape, a sharp pencil, a marxman for latches, dust sheets, a dust extractor/vacuum cleaner, and space to work, remove all pictures/mirrors from walls you may pass by with door, also expensive lamp covers, anything on the staircase remove as its a trip hazard, no dust sheets on stairs.

Finally you do know doors are heavy if chipboard filled, they also have only a thin strip of hardwood down the edge, and the hollow ones have huge staples in them at the bottom and top, will easily destroy a planner blade or a circular saw blade, and there is a right and wrong side to fit the latches on a hollow door.

30 years of fitting doors you get to find out things, some of the above youll find out and some youll need to research.

Chester recycling centre was full and long queues today its been reported as welsh residents cross the border to dump all their nearly new stuff because their tip sites are closed for 2 weeks plus.

But looking at the welsh traffic cams at various times in last few days there seem to be very few LGV,S few small vans but quite a lot of cars, exercising.

as above for whatever reason a person contemplates taking their own life, its that persons decision, the sad thing is it may leave lots of unanswered questions like that argument you had with them a few days ago, or you where to busy to see them or speak to them, you may have had no idea they had mental health problems, we all need to make time for everyone, to listen and chat to people, and listen out for cries for help, and offer that help and support.

Men are terrible for bottling stuff up, seeing it as not manly to cry and expose their feelings, women seem to do it quite well.

    From the argos website

Following guidelines, our stores in Wales will close from Friday 23 October at 6pm, until Monday 9 November. Argos stores within Sainsbury’s supermarkets are also closed, but pre-paid online orders can be collected as part of your essential food shop, or you can order online for home delivery.

Argos stores and Argos stores within Sainsbury’s supermarkets are still open across England, Scotland and Northern Ireland, where you can pay in-store. To keep your visit as short and safe as possible, we recommend you purchase your items online, for collection or home delivery.

Huge list of donts/cants on the wales.gov website going to be like a ghost country next 2 weeks, and talking to an ex police chief inspector today he said most is unenforceable, but a great time for the more officious officers, and lot of people are going to hate the police of theyre stopped.

Result the police cant win what ever they do.

Its going to decimate a load of tourist places,as premises close and cant afford to reopen or take the welsh assembly handouts and then dont reopen, either way huge job losses.

Then add in all the tourist static caravan sites, where owners pay a fee early next year,if they cant afford it,lots of statics are going to be empty looking for a buyer at lower costs as well as site owners looking to hold them to ransom till they get paid ground rents etc.

Add in all the large hotels and Band bs currently not occupied and being forced to close and return customers deposits/payments its going to be a huge cash flow problem for them.

2 years ago bent one of those spikes, after hitting it repeatedly with a large sledge hammer, and moving it bit by bit about 2 foot out from the desired fence line, luckily only for a dog run, so bought another one and that got twisted, customer then announced you do know the garage base is 10 inches below the top of the soil, we didnt need a garage so piled soil from next doors drive extension on it.Thre where going to be 6 that didnt happen.

Try and make a pilot hole with a wooden brush stale or hardwood batton to se if you can penetrate the sub soil.
