Had the XT’s, sold them for X2 EVO’s…initially I was unimpressed with the X2’s, they don’t have the raw stopping power of the XT’s but they do have a nicer feel and they’re not made of plastic.

Bigfoot bikes in Hayes are always good as are Bromley bikes and Freeborn in Horsham

Haha, I can relate to that FOG….”what’s this?…how much did that cost?…doesn’t it do exactly the same thing as the old one…”..blah blah blah…
Enjoy ya Reverb mate, she’ll never notice!

I saw this, I bought a MET helmet during the week from Wiggle for £72, it’s now priced at £84(ish) so even with the discount it’s more expensive that it was 4 days ago!…

As others have said, they’re expensive and after a few wicked skids they’re pretty much fit for the bin. And they HATE roots!!

That topcap tracker looks good, I got my ghost 5900 nicked from outside the gym last year, they had a 10min window to get it, I could’ve been outside as soon as I got the txt to say the bike was moving if I had that….*drifts off into voilent fantasy involving killing bike thiefs with bare hands outside gym*…..

    Sold!!

I don’t wanna be a “I hate superstar” person but I bought a wheelset last year from them, I’m no expert about these things but I could see the spokes had been tightened so much that the spoke bolty things were pulling through the rim holey-bits… This was confirmed when I took the wheels to my LBS…when I sent them back I tried to get my £12 postage money refunded they quibbled about it and gave me £6 ish which I thought took the P. I personally wouldn’t use them again

TunerGuy–I’ve had a look at your previous comments too and your obviously a **** bell-end so I’ll briefly explain myself….my comment was saying it’s NOT a wise idea to be risking other peoples safety by riding like a maniac around corners.

Nice one TurnerGuy. I didn’t know you knew me.

Yeah bedgebury’s a good ride, it’s been improved more recently. It’s also got a nice cafe and pretty good bike shop too. Parkings a bit steep at £8.50 but if your there most of the day you get your money’s worth.

If hammering around a blind corner faster than you can stop if there’s horseriders/a family ect makes you a decent rider I’m glad I’m shit!

I paired up my X2’s with my XT Ispec shifters using XTR matchmakers, works ok but has squashed the right shifter a touch so it doesn’t click back after changing gear which is annoying when riding.

I’ve got one, yeah it’s like you say Danny…soft, medium and stiff…..it was easy to get dialled in and does the job well, I’m happy with it!!

Cheifgrooveguru- I’m liking the sound of that setup, I wanna give the black chilli a try after riding the Brighton Big Dog roots on the Nics…

Uwe-r – yeah I’ve read they come up small, I currently use 2.2 Nics so would go for 2.4’s me thinks

I’ll also check out the XR4’s, coolest named tyre on the market IMO so it’s gotta be good?!

Cheers guys!…I’ll look into those. I’m defo having a break from schwalbe’s for a while after falling out of love with the Nics and splitting a Ralph on it’s second ride!

Had one, it fitted like a glove but cooked my brain so sold it…have recently got a Met Koas UL from cycle surgery in the sale for £60, it’s much better!!

I agree, the only reason we log onto this site is we have a common interest…there does seem to be a lot of people who want to make others feel shit about themselves. I love a bit of banter and spend most of my working day doing it but things in type can get misread and taken literally. On the other hand the bike forum has me in hysterics sometimes, there’s some very funny people on here!

I’m using 5.10 spitfire freeride’s with nukeproof Nuetrons, the neutrons are the same as Nano’s but slightly more expensive. I liked the silver finish and refuse to use superstar so they Suited me!!…very grippy/comfy combo.

I didn’t spend anything on the air spacer actually Phil, Mojo sent it for free as I’m a nice guy.
Obviously I haven’t gotta justify myself to you but I’ve got no work on today so I’m bored.
I bought the shock for my old zesty which it was fine on, then I got my Ibis and transfered the RP23 to that as the eye to eye was the same and so was the stroke…I must admit at that time I wasn’t an expert on air can sizing like you probably are but it’s nice to learn new stuff. So I had to send the shock off twice for a retune and £40 quid ish each time so the cost was starting to spiral and I still wasn’t happy with it. I decided to sell the thing, which I got a good price for and get a 2013 which was tailored specifically for my Ibis and my weight, riding style ect….

There you go Phil…Hope that’s ookkkkkkkk with you.

My 2012 was wallowy, to get it to feel right I had to have the sag set up at about 5%…it turned out the air can was too large for my setup so it needed a spacer put in ect….not really the shocks fault but in the end i just wanted it off the bike so sold it and put a 2010 RP23 on. The 2013 one is right for my bike/weight and works faultlessly.

I had a 2012 which I didn’t like so I sold it, I’ve now got a CTD and love it!…my one cost me £380 so if you can one for 330 grab it!

Nice build. The only thing I’d lose is the red fork decals, I’m not a fan of red tho.

I’ve got the Teva links, they’re ultra comfy and nice and light. I’m looking at getting some 5-10 spitfire as I’d like some more grip. The Tevas are for sale if anyone’s interested??

Santander do mine as an extra on my home insurance, my bikes insured for £2500 and it costs about £16 a month. They paid out in a week last year when I got one nicked without any hassle
