10 years together in January married 8 years in April 2 kids.

Happy as a pig in doodoo.

    Quick edit:

Never been unfaithful either. Despite a fair few opportunities. Although I think I could do with some of that bipolar medication now we’ve got two kids.

    As above roofbox.co.uk are ace.

We borrowed one of the neighbours last summer, it was great. We’re getting a long narrow one over the winter so we can carry a bike on the roof at the same time. Much cheaper/easier than forking out to run a bigger car for the rest of the year.

While out riding at night in certain areas it’s not your neck you need to worry about getting sucked!

Super bikes have been cracking this year. Happy to see Sam lowes takes the super sport championship too.

Praying Tom takes the championship after last year, not too fussed who wins bsb, but it would be nice for it not to be Shakey for a change.

    If you have kids

    .thecocoabeancompany

    cream o galloway

Would reccomend both of those if you have kids, my two cant wait to go back, which is good becasue I only managed to do kirri this year :)

Dumphies is quite a nice large town, so there’s a fair bit to do. Lots of nice walking too.

I ride follow the dog at cannock at night quite often. It’s less scary if you wear headphones, but it’s surprising how much you judge your grip with your ears.

Lots of wild life about though, but less chavs than there are in the summer so I actually feel a bit safer.

If Youre buying new you’ll probably struggle to find a 2.

but yeah, a bit, but the new 3 is a bit better than the old 3.

Seriouly, if you’re spunking £300 on a camera, do a bit of reading first.

Early morning and late night rides are all I ever do.

Sometimes I’ll go exploring in the dark, just take it easy and take your phone with you so you can work out where you are.

Riding in the dark is scary as, but at least it’s riding. You could always go to the gym *shudders*

Turns out they’ve gone and opened a pizza hut take away a mile from my house. This is not good. I’ll be able to smell it when I go out on my bike :o

I had one of the first magicshine batches which was fantastic, battery died though so I need a new battery pack. I bought another one and it wasn’t great, used to cut out if it wasn’t super cold and had no charge indicator on it. And then the battery died on that one too.

Torches have been more reliable. Just need to be tightened down properly and different torches like different cells.

The great thing about segments is that if you’re not from the area, you can spot sections that are possibly worth riding.

When I took my road bike up to scotland in the summer I had a look at strava to try and piece a route together taking in a big hill or two.

Also I like to have a look at the acheivements for each ride, I’ve got no hope of a KOM round by me (off road anyway) so I can see if different lines/techniques give more speed or not. Even if it’s not scientific or accurate you get more of an idea. Most of the time these days though I can go for a lap at cannock and come back with no acheivements at all.

    I like Nomads

    I like your Nomad

Something doesn’t look quite right though and I can’t put my finger on it

This – something is not right, but I don’t know what, seat down maybe?

Lovely bike though, I’d love a Nomad but I’m poor.

The one in market Drayton is meant to be good, can’t remember what it’s called.

Stafford has Henry burton cycles, but they’re more road biased, you might be better going to mammoth in Milford or swinnertons on the chase.

Leisure lakes in wolvo, not sure about Telford, how far are you from long mynd? Decent looking shop there.

Hoping this is still on during half term so I can ‘treat’ the Mrs. I know I’ll hate myself afterwards but I love grotty fast food like this.

    Omnomnomnom.

Just re-read that. I’m off work at half term because the kids are off, the Mrs isn’t still at school :?

Abraham Lincoln – Vampire Hunter could have been amazing. But they cocked it up. It was too serious or not serious enough. They should have got whoever did the Dawn of The Dead remake to do it.

Weather has been a bit crappy in the midlands for the last few days so I will be out on my roadbike keeping clean and dry(ish)

Not far though, I’ll have to be home for half 8, if it’s nice all weekend I might go out on the MTB Sunday night.

Mrs STR does a lot of Ebaying, so back in your box

Actually, that’s a fair point. I shall retire to my container.

However I stand by my point of shooting people at events with them.

Would think a low hanging branch/bushes would have it off though?

Maybe, but I figure I’d be able to see it on the account of it being a torch. I’d rather the torch come off than something damage my helmet.

It’s strong stuff, it’s not come off yet, and the exposure mounts have probably just as much chance of being bashed off.

    Post ride cheap protein shake?

Either that or ride slower. It’s just cumulative fatigue, I used to commute 40 miles a day 5 days a week. I was farked every friday saturday sunday, too tired to ride at the weekend and justr about ready to go on monday. After 18 months I had a massive collapse and a bout of hardcore tonsilitis. Sacked it off in the end, by riding slower it was quicker to get the train, so the wife made me do that instead.

If you’ve got the Reg number report it to your insurer. Trucks hit things all the time without realising so there won’t be any need for police to get involved, and generally speaking for a small amount of damage the insurer of a fleet of trucks will just pay out.

If the insurer does write your car off you’ll be able to buy the salvage and get it repaired if you like, but it’ll be a cat c or d write off. If it’s only worth a couple of grand though it wont be an issue

Why would anyone care about the camera on a tablet. Especially a 10 inch one. The only reason I’d want one is for skype/facetime or QR codes. Other than that I think people who take pictures on an iPad at an event should be shot

Just finished season 3, it’s good. There are some great charachters especially in season 3. Taken me a while to trawl through though, it’s no Breaking Bad.

Just started watching The Wire I’d say Boardwalk Empire was more immediately entertaining, but i’m expecting The Wire to overtake it at some point from what I’ve read.

I’ve got one, this year I’ve stuck a small peice of 3M Dualock just to the right side of the top vent and a peice on the body of an ultrafire torch. Works perfectly. A bit of adjustment, either side and up and down due to the curve of the helmet and it’s rock solid with no wobbling. Cost 2.50 from ebay.

I wouldn’t get a road bike for winter commuting now. I’d get one of the new cheap boardman disc CX bikes and stickk full guards on it. I’m actually half tempted to sell my carbon road bike now and get one. I hardly used it this year, spent all summer on my MTB.

our thermostat is set to 17, with a timer, it comes on for a bit in the morning and evening, so it must be cold enough for it to kick in.

This, although the other day the wife nudged it up to 18. The thermostat is wireless though so I’ve put it in the living room, where it’s always warm

On one were putting these out last year. I’d love one, it’d be a mint year round commuter.

Edit: I’d want the Fat wheels too though. Not just the skinny wheels, that’d be stupid.
