I’m ridiculously untidy, my garage is a discgrace and my desk at work could do with setting on fire.

BUT – I have a real problem with the latches on seat back tables, I have to straighten them, train or plane, my seat and the ones next to it. Not OCD, more ODD. Properly gets on my wick when one is stuck at an angle and wont budge. I’ve moved seats before.

Unless have you actually experience the chain coming around to 11-11:30 so that it catches the top chain run??

Managed this on my Rockrider this morning. Probably under lubed and it was very dusty out there this morning. Didn’t touch the frame at all so I just had to back pedal it out. A clutch mech is on my list of upgrades/next bike specs.

    I call Bromance
What’s the new shop called, Brokeback Mountain Bikes?

I actually really like that. Although Brokeback MTB would be less obvious. Hmmmm.

I’ll be off out around cannock before work tomorrow, ready for it to piss down on friday saturday and sunday.

Hoping the black rocks on the monkey aren’t too slippery, I’ve finally gotten the balls up to have a proper go at them.

They were doing them full price earlier in the year,
Yes, because they would be breaking the law otherwise. The current sale price is the “real” price. Or am I just too cynical? They are a budget, no-name brand after all.

I’d probably put their real price somewhere between the two. But yeah, I know what you mean. I’d be gutted if I’d paid £1800 or whatever they were. Wrong size wheels I suppose

Zilog – They were doing them full price earlier in the year, I was ogling them then and I thought they were decent value, at those prices if I hadn’t seen a couple of decent reviews I would have thought there was something seriously up with them.

Toppers Saracen deal looks pretty mint too. Flippin heck I wish I had some cash. Anyone want to buy a Rockrider 9.1 and an old saracen dirttrax? I could tell the wife I was saving space.

CRC are banging out the Vitus FS bikes, dirt cheap. Sommet 1 gets a decent review. I’m tempted to get a 0% card and buy the Sommet 2, but I like my testicles I want to keep them attached to my body.

To be fair I think all the soft pads are pretty decent these days. I’ve got Kyle Straits and I’ve done over 30 miles in them before without being uncomfortable. If I was buying now I’d probably go for the evo’s or whatever they’re called, got a good write up in WMB this month, the leatt one’s came top.

Pasta with chips anyone? Or how about yesterdays lunch: jacket potato with chips, cheese and beans

    mmmmmmmmmmmm nom nom nom

Reminds me of a bit from Ben & Holly’s Little Kingdom

‘Baked potato, stuffed with potato, with chips -and mash- with a fried egg on top’

Keep trying and failing to get the mrs to do us that for tea, don’t know what I pay her for.

I don’t often as I don’t want to look like the wreck head who’s trying to get pissed as cheap as possible. Even though that’s normally whats happening. I just moan about it when I get back to the table/group.

A bar in brum tried to charge me £1.75 for a small glass of soda water last christmas. I kicked off then.

I wouldn’t recoomend running along the canals in the dark. I used to walk to walk along the canals sometimes and the amount of times I had to avoid human faeces would make me think twice about going down there at night.

The new library is meant to be good. Or maybe some jazz at the yardbird?

I’ve also got a short sleeve one from decathlon, that’s good too. Very soft and comfortable material, had it about 18 months, it’s holding up well.

Another recommendation for ao.com, just got a fridge freezer from them same model was £200 more in currys. Delivery was seamless.

Don’t repair carbon fibre. Get a new frame under warranty/just buy a new one. It is completely inadvisable to try to repair carbon fibre in the slightest, it is always going to be weak.

Perhaps turn it into a wall lamp?

Nonsense. Carbon can repaired, I’ve good things about these guys
    http://www.carboncyclerepairs.co.uk/index.html

Also there was an article in WMB this month about how easy carbon frames can be repaired by those in the know.

We had the 1.8 petrol too, 32-34 mpg. Air con compressor went and then a pipe split when we got it fixed. Also, wheels were made of some kind of soft cheese.

It was fun to drive though, and the kids loved it.

The old one you mean? Yeah all the rear seats come out individually. I used to have one, nice car but had a few problems with it, so we got rid.

Turns out I’ve bent my left nano axle. Bit of a bummer, only noticed it after I’d been out on my HT then got straight on my full sus. They’re great pedals other than that. Anything a similar shape/price but a bit tougher?

so she can stick tape from my foot to my but cheeks

Not trying to be funny but what sort of injury requires a whole leg to have tape on it?

You misunderstood, for treatment she’s going to tape his foot to his butt cheek, must have tight quads or something.

Sounds like he fell from the high platform at the MotoGP at the spinal injuries unit. Not good. Fingers crossed he’s ok.

I’ve got a duofold base layer that I’ve had for about 18 years, I’m not sure if you can still get them, but if you can I recommend them. It’s a mix of polyester and wool and is the best of both worlds.

I moved to Three earlier in the year. Coverage has been good, not amazing up in scotland last week but good enough. Only had to ring customer services twice, they were acceptable both times. Much improved on a couple of years ago.

I love my mini, the only thing it’s not as good as the ipad3 we’ve got at home is for reading magazines on, text is formatted for a larger screen so it just isn’t quite as good. The next one with retina display might help this, but I read that the retina display is thicker and heavier so I’d want to see what difference it made before I swapped. The big ipad seems really heavy now I’m used to the mini.

For the internet, games, books and watching tv at work or on the train it’s perfect.

Love my open pro’s. They’re on the Basic Novatec hubs and they’re fantastic. I prefer sealed cartridge bearings, they’ve been ridden for about 18 months and I haven’t touched them once.

Filtering up the left is legal but I’m vary wary of it. Drivers just aren’t as aware of what’s on their left and passengers have no idea, if you go up the left be wary of people getting out of the car and left turners.

I wouldn’t be surpried if some of the car drivers that pull right over to the curb are letting you round the outside, if there is a bike (motorised or pedal powered) behind me in a queue I always pull to the left if they’re in the middle of the lane to give them a safe route up the middle. Some of them are bound to be cocks though.

My advise is the best way to filter is up the middle if possible, and only if it’s safe. No point racing to the front of every set of lights if the same people are going to have to get straight back past, it’ll just piss them off and you’ll have more chance of getting run over.

And never, ever, ever, ever, ever wait infront of the back of a big vehicle, and only wait infront of it if you know for sure the driver can see you, give them a nod or something to check.

There’s been a lot of thefts in the Stafford area in the last few weeks. Scumbags.

Be vigilant everyone. Luckily, My bikes aren’t worth nicking :?

Shimano AM41, or something cheap from sports direct.

The sports direct pap is better than you’d think because the soles aren’t as supple as decent skate shoes, and with decent pedals (nanos for me) the grip is more than enough for general riding.

The Samsung keyboard is shite, luckily, it being android you can change it for one you like. I recommend swift key or Kii, which are both excellent and better than the iOS ones IMO.

Should be a guaranteed future value, you only pay the balloon payment if you want to keep it. Otherwise you just give it back. I’ve never heard of them asking for more other than excess mileage
