Just been brought a set of these for my bday to replace a set of shure ones and I must admit I don’t think they are as good,I really think everyone has just fell into the whole hype thing
Mine will be going back 100%
Got this years x2 and absolutely love it, ridden kirroughtree glentress etc and no probs at all, changed to a shorter stem straight away though, climbs really well too
got a brand new set of avid elixir r with 160 mm rotors that have never been fitted if ya interested, came off my anthem x2 i just brought
looking for £120 posted
my battery has started to play up and is not holding the charge, emailed hope and they said send it in and they will have a look
cant say fairer than that
i was trying not to “death grip” but its not that easy when your smashing through singletrack in the welsh hills(and im not being funny there)
the one finger braking is only because the levers on the hopes are quite small i find, but will defo look at altering it
remembering to eat is essential in my opinion as once you do get hungry its usually too late and a couple of bars are not really gonna help, think powerbar are sponsoring too so grab a few of their bars
im doin this ride too, there are 4 feed stations on the route so you will be ok
i personally would take more than just water as i am imagining its a 8 hour ride
i saw crankworx last week and they were comparing whistler to the monkey but they reckon you need a bit more body armour cuz of the gnarliness of it, i once followed gee and dan atherton down the lower cliff sections and they were so pumped they went for another lap but they reckoned it smashes all over anything wales or scotland has
i just dont think the op had the skills to pay the bills on t monkey
he obviously wasnt rad enough to seriously enjoy it
sometimes when the locals are on there game over there parachutes are needed theres that much "air" 😆
i have recently brought both and have to say that after a few days in afan i am glad i went with nobby nics f&r the ralphs are very very thin and would puncture easily on any rocky trail centres imo
both cracking tyres though but the nics would be my choice
cheers for the reply guys much appreciated
have done afan before for a week but i understand that the penrhyd(spelling?) trail is closed??
also how does this w2 trail work?is it signposted or do you just link it yourself
thanks again
