    As per title.
    I can’t find a 30t E13 chainring anywhere, it’s for a 2019 jeffsy pro race with the awful E13 TRS carbon crankset.

I had similar issues a couple of years ago with those cranks on a Jeffsy pro race, Absolute black oval was all I could find that would fit, ditched the cranks for Shimano when I swapped all the parts onto a Hightower frame last year

cool, reckon i’ll get one of thse then. Cheers.

Usually get blades from costco when they’re on offer, around £18 for 16 pack last time I bought some which is a lot less than I’ve seen them anywhere else

Gillette fusion with nivea shaving gel works for me, 5 blades one side with a single blade on the back for the awkward bits

You need to use a Shimano 12S chain on a 12S Shimano ring. The 12S chain works fine with 11S cassettes.

I’ve been using a 12spd xtr chainring with an 11spd xt chain and 11 spd e thirteen cassette for well over a year now, never once dropped a chain, had zero issues with shifting and had no excessive noise or wear. Recently fitted a 12 spd slx crank to a mates bike, 11spd slx cassette and chain and he reckons it’s the smoothest shifting he’s ever known so I’d have to disagree on the above

He claims to have over a hundred thousand individuals in Hustler’s University which is probably believable, if they are paying fifty dollars a month each that is half a million a month.

    Try 5m dollars a month

I’ve got a Fox and a Brand X – very much doubt I’d tell them apart in a blind test

How does that happen? Never had it before and all my jabs and booster’s are up to date

How do you know you’ve not had it before? I tested positive around this time last year and had no symptoms whatsoever, only did a test because a lad I gave a lift to work tested positive (and did feel rough for a week or so). 8 days until I got the all clear and felt perfectly normal the whole time

Recently looked at a mates Brand x post that was just moving but took a lot of effort to actually press the remote lever, the outer cable had split at the point where it came out of the seat tube. Luckily the cable was long enough to cut the damaged bit off and re use the rest, works fine now after replacing the inner cable

I use these at work (different brand but same type of disc) for cutting stainless steel, they cut a lot more accurately on an angle grinder than a normal cutting disc

This year’s race was cancelled because a lot of the area was badly hit in last winters storms and a lot of the trails were badly damaged or lost altogether

Absolute legend that lad, sure he posted something on Instagram a couple of months ago about taking it easy to let a few niggling injuries heal properly and wouldn’t be doing Hardline or Rampage this year as a result

I don’t ride road/gravel so never been in here, possibly more top end bikes than op’s budget but definitely worth a look

I was about 14, after looking at my dad and both grandads and noticing mine was starting to look a bit thin in places I decided it was coming off, grade 0 all over. I’ll never forget the look on my mother’s face when I walked through the door afterwards. 44 now and can do it in under 10 mins with a Gillette fusion razor

A few weeks holding the line in middle of winter and they could easily just give up and go home.

I have managed to put a big dent in the downtube of an aluminium frame before which I would have thought would be a write off if it was carbon.

I’ve no advice on Trek bikes but I know from experience that carbon frames can be repaired to a better standard than aluminium and there are a number of companies doing just that in the UK. As I said I’ve had a carbon frame crack (underside of the downtube, behind a plastic guard which wasn’t cracked), had it repaired and didn’t think twice about buying carbon again when I replaced the frame

I wear Shimano ME7 which work well with Mallet DH/E

Same here, previously used AM9’S and prefer the stiffer sole of the ME7’s. They are a bit of faff when new (mallet dh) as the pin height affects clipping in and out,
definitely worth spending a bit of time on the initial setup before hitting anything remotely technical

Last month I managed to completely wreck a pedal (Mallet dh) by having it upside down when I used the supplied drift to remove the plastic bushing whilst servicing it. This, instead of pushing the bushing out of the pedal, bent/partly snapped the lip that stops said bushing from going too far inside the pedal when refitting it. I’ve serviced it a few times without issue over the years and couldn’t believe I’d been so stupid when I realised what I’d done

I changed back to a medium frame (Hightower)after riding a large (Jeffsy 29) for a couple of years (I’m around 5’8ish & use 760mm bars) and I personally find it’s better about 95% of the time, especially steep/techy trails and jumps. The difference in reach is around 24mm, which doesn’t sound a lot, but it allows me to move my weight around and feels like I have way more control almost everywhere (only place I prefer the bigger frame is flat out in a straight-line). It sometimes feels cramped when climbing, but I don’t see myself back on a large frame in future

Had a creak on a YT Jeffsy that was driving me round the bend, changed all frame bearings and completely stripped the bike and rebuilt it, with no joy. Turned out to be a very small crack on the nut that held the mech hanger on to the frame, sorted with new hanger

A mate uses the Nukeproofs and said while they work with Shimano cleats they are noticably better with Nukeproofs own version. Personally I prefer Mallet DH but as already mentioned they need a regular maintenance to keep them sweet, and Crank Brothers cleats wear out far quicker than other brands

My advice would be to not replace it with another Acros. The seals are terrible.

    I’ll second this ^^^^^
The Acros headset that came on my last bike (YT Jeffsy) had the bearings bonded into the cups so the whole headset had to be replaced when the bearings were shot, which was around 4 months from new

Once had a fine for parking in a bus lane in Hammersmith. The reg on the Peugeot in the picture started with y844, I owned a VW at the time with a reg starting with y884 and I’d never been to Hammersmith in my life. Didn’t take long for them to accept it wasn’t me

What do you guys think/what experiences have you had with YT?

I had a Jeffsy Pro race crack on the underside of the downtube, under the plastic downtube guard (which wasn’t damaged in any noticable way). YT insisted it was impact damage and wouldn’t entertain a warranty claim. The frame was less than 5 months old
