St Gemmas Hospices looking at around £2500 got a few bills to pay and not had the final payout from Eventbrite yet.

Having got into organising bike events recently I can see how prices are so high I run fairly low key events and its an eye opener for costs of stuff to hire like toilets /generators but I,ve never done it for profit so the event relies totally on ticket sales and land owners get a cut usually to a charity .

Got the week off this week and Dunkeld is on my radar having dipped my pedals there for a couple of hours last year only thing that worries me is riding on my own on the super tech steep stuff anyone up there this week and any places to camp nearby in a van that is reasonable

Looks like there were bikes nicked from the Trail Days event this weekend barrstards

Getting hot  and sweaty zipping around the route  taking pics of the #jennriders 87 miles in total got far to comfortable in the Woolpack Inn :-)

That bacon and egg sarnie was to die for at the Drunken Duck

Amazed at how many people had not ridden the BW down to the road :-)

I think walking up Walna at 12.00am is better as you can not see how far you have to go  unless there are several helmet lights flickering about. The scene on the other side was incredible body bags every where on any bit of flat grass :-)

Ive got an event going on this weekend on the cricket field In Staveley feel free to camp  Toilets on site, showers in Wheelbase throw a couple of quid in the bucket :-)

Failing that end of August this happens http://www.southlakesbikefest.com and its quite good apparently

Martin the tickets have been bought with Jennride money  but if you buy the books of 20 it only costs 50p to cross instead of £2 I hope everyone puts a quid in to cover costs :-)

Yes Captain of the ferry has been warned they only allow 130 on at once I have pre payed for tickets so everyone gets one at registration :-)

Stayed here for 3 years in the massive field they have no bar but a good shop with fresh bread pasties every morning

Pleased to announce the line up for this years Adventure Bike night in Wheelbase Cycles they are as follows in no order of importance!
Karl Booth talking about the highs and lows of the Highland Trail 550, this years event was the wettest one so far with a very high attrition rate.
Fiona Massey and Paul John Horabin getting dusty and trying not to fall out on the Colorado trail.
George North and Lauren Davies talking about their exploits bike packing across Chile Peru and Bolivia .
Barry Godin will be amazing us with his cheerfulness and no doubt a film to enjoy :-)
Eventbrite tickets will be released soon which will be free but donations on the night will be gratefully accepted towards Prostate UK Wood fired Pizzas and beer will be available on the night.

Doable on a rigid fat tyred bike not so much so on cx bike but you might have a higher pain threshold than me :-)

This years Jennride takes you over to Wasdale cracking YHA there but plenty of great spots to camp
