STW never disappoints and MartinH has far to much time on his hand!

I was parked opposite after hung around for an hour whilst I cooked some food and enjoyed the view, unfortunately the driver did not turn up and it was dark when I left. Maybe they had abandoned it after getting stuck and sought help who knows!

Parking like this is one of my pet hates especially when it churns up the grass!

Totally agree that cars had parked there before! Parking spot above Tarn Hows, the rock was put back in its original position he/she looked pretty much lodged at the rear! Might make him/her consider their parking choice next time.

A Message from Richard Munro:Coronavirus Update – Event Postponed

In light of the fast-moving and ongoing Coronavirus pandemic I have made the very difficult/easy decision to postpone the 2020 South Lakes Jennride. While my efforts have been focused on holding the event, we must prioritise the health and wellbeing of participants and their families plus the local population. With government limitations on gatherings in place to protect our emergency services it was felt the only responsible decision was to postpone the event until next year.

Any entries already booked and paid for the full event will automatically be carried over to the 2021 event ,if any one requires a refund up untill next years date please use the evenbrite refund option please use this as it keeps administration low for me.

Thanks for everyone’s understanding at this challenging time. Please keep smiling, keep riding and most importantly keep safe.

St Gemmas Hospice survives on donations so if you are able to donate please do so on the Just Giving Page. Rich

Staveley very quite yesterday loads of parking in the Mill Yard. Kentmere Valley at Kentmere most parking coned off by farmers few spots available.

Went for a drive today parked at Millerground Windermere no one else in there, moved on to top of Kirkstone Pass for lunch pub carpark closed but carpark just down the road open, I was fully self sufficient with food and a toilet on board. Roads in general very quiet. Whilst parked up had a very judgemental cyclist shake his head at me, asked him what his problem was he refused to elaborate!
