Driving with medication or a really heavy cold  would hamper my driving abilities more than 2 pints of 4% ale, I can tolerate more alcohol maybe than a normal joe! I drive for living so I know the consequences could be a pain in the ass for me. Like I say the limit is about right IMHO.

About making my better driving better its more of being the same level just more aware of my surroundings then again I ride better after a couple of pints FACT!!!!!

Think we have it right in Englandshire I have driven with 2 pints of normal brew normally after a ride  and i can cofindently say it has no effect on my driving if anything it makes me a better driver as I am more conscious of my surroundings and other drivers. I know i am going to get flamed for this but just trying to be honest. Will not drive after a heavy night on the ale and usually abstain for the next 24hrs

At 50 plus the last job I would be looking at would be Royal Mail its a fairly hard working job and you would only get a 24 hr contract but with the chance to work more hours possibly full time hours. You start at the bottom with the dregs of the duties in the office, Avoid IMHO

Never understood the VW van hate we love ours ok its not our daily runner but its solid no rattles like some other vans I,ve been passenger in. Seems a bit like the Santa Cruz bike hate just because they are at a certain price point!

Great riding but you have to either pay lots of £s for uplift or face being passed by hundreds of Germans on their electric bikes going up hill. Michael Cycle will be along soon to offer advice and a holiday :-)

Park Foot is a chav fest was there 3 weeks ago I would avoid personally you don’t feel as though you are camping in the Lakes.

    My top 5

    1. Turner Hall Seathwaite( toilets pay for showers) stunning views Newfield for Beer and Food

    2. Loughrigg Tarn (basic) toilets stunning views  Brittiania Pub for food and beer

    3. Low Wray Campsite NT pricey but great site Drunken Duck for beer and food

    4. Old Hall Coniston avoid at weekends The Sun for beer and food

    5. Side Farm Ullswater if its busy when you get there you will end up on a sloping pitch Glennridding Hotel for food and beer

A Message from Richard Munro: Hello all you beautiful people we have just about sold out of camping tickets so thank you for that! Getting to the campsite follow the postcode LA89JF which will lead you to Kentmere Rd, as you leave Staveley up the Kentmere Valley it is the 2nd bridge on your right not the first one as that will just lead you to a dead end!!!!About one mile from Staveley you will see the field(campsite) on the left hand side. If we could fill the areas around the perimetre first it will help to make the most of the camping field if you are in a group and would like to camp together I suggest you park in the middle. Quiet familly camping will be on the right, turn right as you enter the field. Unfortunately I have been unable to get the field cut and the grass is quite long so I suggest you bring wellies or water proof shoes for first thing in the morning due to the dew.
Friday 6.30pm ride out from the Eagle and Child pub £10 ticket gets you drinks and supper back at the pub all money goes to the Sam Houghton  cancer Charity. 50mile Bikepacking route leaving the campsite  at 6.30pm mass start. Chill out at the campsite firepits and tunes  pizza coffee no beer will be served bring your own.
