Was going to mention the electro compilation records. Had a few on vinyl and tape when I was a kid. If you go on YouTube someone has made them all available for streaming. Good for a nostalgic couple of hours.

Gutted its gone from DAB. Loved the first tune on the drive to work lottery. Usually got something nice and rocking, like Slayer or Pantera. Trying planet rock at the moment, but looking like its going to be mps’s from now on.

Tell you what, I bought some in the ear ones the other day. Was on the lookout for some as the ones that came with my phone are dire, and my lass appears to have lost my Sennheiser cx200 ones. Had a budget of £40 or so. Saw the ones that I was going to get, then started looking at reviews on a headphone audiophile website (think its headfi.org)
Long list, but one pair stood out from the norm, and get really good reviews all round. Its the Philips SHE 3590. Sweet, so went on google to see how much………………..£5.50 from amazon. Nice one. Ordered a pair and they are actually really good sounding. Think they are worth a punt.

Was just going to say Vanilla Black. Ate there when it was originally based in York. Impressive food.

You can get tail gate protectors for the estate. Think the boot liner on the estates is rubber one side, and carpet the other. Unless its an optional extra ??

Been there. Wouldn’t recommend the food- I left wondering what I had paid extra for. I’ve spoken to staff who claimed that they have a high price point to attract a classier type of customer. Sutlers- fine for a drink, but there is better food almost anywhere else in town.

Cheers for that. Another person added to the list of ones not to recommend it for food. Showed my lass a photo of one of their puddings and she said the metal tin gave her the heebie jeebies

Another one for the list (might be in a minority here though)

Brioche buns for burgers. Way way too soft and the slightest bit of moisture makes them fall apart in your hand. Give me a chunky bap any day.

Had a week in opatija once. Nice place. Very Italian in parts. Cracking costal walk to a nice cove with a restaurant and couple of bars.

New pub in York called sutlers has a ww2 theme. Apparently serves food in mess tins and 40s period plates etc. By all accounts its geared up for the tourist trade.

Our local has the annoying habit of using flipping chopping boards instead of plates. Can’t beat watching your sauce cascade over the edge.

Had mine done a few years back. Hurts for a split second, makes they eyes water and nose throbs a bit for a while. Was easily the most painful ones I had done. Never got the bell end done though, so cant compare

If you fancy a punt with windows then those Lumia 640s are getting good reviews. Way under budget too.

Bolle Silium glasses have much lower profile frames than the Contour

Meant they have better face coverage than the contours, eg higher on the eye brows :-)

Got a couple of pairs of Bolle I ride in. Contours, agree with what you say about brow coverage. Got the tinted ones and they let a bit of light in when on the drops.
For good overall coverage have a look at the Silium ones. Come in clear or smoke. Tend to use these for off road as not fussed in they get trashed.

Just finished reading “Not on my patch lad” by Mike Pannett. Its based on when he was a rural bobby based in Malton by York. Enjoyed it loads and knew some of the places in the book really well.

Different media here. Played with a style that worked with the subject. Just messing around and pleasing result really. Pretty sure you can have similar results.

Pah. Don’t think I can embed photos on my phone. Hope this link works.

Personally I think the majority of art is subjective. You might think you are rubbish, then produce in your opinion something poor. Someone else might think its the dogs nads.
Got a painting on my wall I did of the coliseum. Though its was rubbish at the time. Few weeks later looked at it again and liked it.
Just keep sketching and playing with different mediums.

Bluefin is a good option. Its a handheld device that installs a map on the ecu. Can be reverted back to standard and vice versa whenever you want. By all accounts its a generic map, so probably not as aggressive as a bespoke one.

Got some hardly used 8 hole solovairs from eBay a few months back. Fantastic condition in brown leather that is really thick and soft. £35 plus delivery. Doctor martens before that were the far east type. Really thin leather. Ended up cracking where the toe flexes. Sole was more or less perfect though. This was a couple of years use.
Comparing the two I would now happily pay rrp for the solovairs. Docs just ain’t worth it anymore. Oh think the made in UK docs are made by solovair anyhow.

HT for me here. Posted a few weeks ago about this. Only time I guess a floppy back end would benefit me (according to riding mates) is proper bumpy stuff. Most of the time I can use my legs smoothing the bumps out.
