Bolle Silium. Less than 6 quid. Job done

Actually seen video clips of our armed forces use these in afghanistan. Not a bad endorsement there.

Edit. Not yellow though. Just read that part lol.

Bought a Dual CS505 off ebay last year for around £28 inc delivery. Works a treat and sounds really good. Think the first version (mine) came out circa early 1980. If you can find a CS505-2 might be worth a punt. Think the Mk2 had a wooden plinth, unlike mine which has a plastic plinth. Generally meant to be a tiny bit better too.

Hadn’t heard of that but I suspect you meant to post it in the “awesome bike names” thread?

Guerciotti maybe, but not Khaybar. Great looking frame though.

Guerciotti Khaybar. As sold by Planet X. Think there’s a song lyric in there somewhere. Yeah thats it, “I want to take you to the Khaybar, the Khaybar”

If you fancy something away from the mainstream brands, have a look at the Kuota Kharma. I have the 2004/5 frameset and its great. Really good do it all road bike. The new 2011/12 frames are meant to be a massive improvement. Price slightly above budget though. Worth it from something thats more unique.

We were told minimum of 18 months reservist training, plus the 2-3 month training with seconded unit.
Nay worries Teabreak. Tried to join the RAF from school, that didnt work out either. The auggies was going to be my second chance of a childhood dream. My lass was chuffed I didnt get in though :D

I tried to join the RAF reserves around 4 years ago (failed medical). Was told on pre-start the process interview that once trained, you will be asked to go somewhere warmer for a few months.
The squadron I tried to join was 609 sqn (reserves) RAF Leeming. When you are picked to go away, you are generally seconded to a full time squadron to boost numbers. Part of the call up period is spending a couple of months getting battle trained before deployment. Then its away you go. Once deployment is over there is a cool down before starting the civvie job again.
Good luck in applying. Im still hacked off about not getting in. But beware though. Some reservists have been killed in action.

Check out the A600 pedal from Shimano. Ultegra quality single sided spd pedal. Had them for a little while. Lightish and easy to clip into.

Check out a Danish band called Volbeat. Not totally heavy metal as such. More like a mix of 80s thrash, rockabilly & Elvis. Sounds pants, but works really really well.
All albums are immense. But for me my favourite is Guitar Gangsters and Cadillac Blood.

Got a bollocking the other day for being gash at DIY. Even though I have put up loads of shelves. Fixed the slow water drainage in the bath, sticky on off switch in the shower. Really hacked me off tbh. And I do all.the cooking and wash the pots lol.
How long before someone comes on and tells me to mtfu :0)

Hovered my wedding tackle over a freshly brewed mug of tea I made for my lass whilst threatening to slash in it (dont ask, I was in a weird mood). So she decided to quash this plan by grabbing the handle and raising the mug till my member was submerged in the super hot beverage. Should have heard me scream. Pain never felt before, and dont want to repeat.

Cleaning my bike after last years Calderdale Mountain Marathon.
Bike resting on the saddle and bars, wheels up in the air and spinning.
Saw some mud on the calipers, went to whip off with my index finger and almost severed the tip from 10mm down. All the way to the bone and has left a nice scar hehe

Try doing sit ups with your feet resting on the bed. Not easy, but works.

Where do you live James. I have an Alpha 7 that
wont spin discs. Pretty sure the power supply
    would be the same.

If anyone as any old crt monitors with the UV/Anti glare filters attached. Nice piece of black card behind the screen works a treat.

Unscrew phone handset and either tape over the mouth or ear piece. Then reassemble the phone. Hilarious :O)

Fresh sheet of A4 paper. Write “ugly bloke” on one side and lay it writing down in the middle of the corridor.

I tried that Tokyo+ they did a couple of years back. 18.2%. Tasted horrible. But made a nice pint of shandy at 9.1% hahaha.
Agree with Rik though. I really like the hardcore IPA they produce.

Just spent the weekend in Hebden Bridge with my lass. She came a cropper big time. Cut hand and a bruised bum. Slick soled boots really are great for grip in the ice lol.

I use one of them Wahl hair clippers. Loads of attachments so can get the length you want. Works a treat. And if I get bored, can I have a free haircut too.

    Hi.

I’ve got a Baby D for sale if anyone is interested.
Recently been de-scaled and used once since. Dont
use it anymore, and is taking up precious worktop
    space.
