For me it was Calderdales finest. Paradise lost, with tragic idol. Massively back on form.
+1 on testament though. Saw them back on the electric crown album supporting black Sabbath with dio on vocals.

Think at the moment the best value gaming cards are the nvidia 660ti ones. Almost as good as a 670 but loads cheaper.

So long as the shim is at least 100mm long I won’t complain.

Going to shim mine. Got a 27.2 dia carbon post thats currently in my steel 456. Used one of the USE thermoplastic shims in my roadbike to good effect. So will be using one of them in the C456.

Bloke at work took his 2 kids (5-6) to the bouldering wall in York. Seen a few kids there as well. Maybe bit older. Usually showing the adults up haha.

Ordered a computer desk from them a few years back. Thought I had paid for it there and then on my switch card. Letter came in the post from them a month later. I ignored it as I thought it was spam. Then another letter a month later, this time looking more serious. Opened it, and it was a credit card bill with massive charges for late payment. Straight on the phpne. Explained the situation and that I was far from happy as I thought I had paid for the goods. Settled up there and then with no charges. Never used them since.

Fuji hs10 for me. Newer ones with the exr sensor look interesting. I went with the fuji as it was less automatic than other bridge cameras. Something i could get my teeth into. Zoom is good too. Can get some really good moon shots.

Would you entertain a road bike one. If so, i have a rotor sp1 on mine. Tis very light. On my mountain bike its carbon fibre in a steel frame. Actually again its my old kuota one from an old bike. Not very heavy as well. Pretty strong and smoothed the back end out loads

Thought you would be along soon with a comment. Same frame on the de Rosa is a great bike. Same frame on ribble not worth spending over a grand on.

Ive got a ribble R872 built with campag chorus and shamal wheels. Really nice bike and weighs in at a touch over 16lbs. Ignore the bike snobs. Its a fantastic frame. So good, that de Rosa sell the same one as the R838 but for much much more

Ive got a beresford caiman dac. Comes under budget and sounds amazing for the money. Had a few of those “wow i haven’t that part in this song before”. Bass drums nicely controlled and don’t run away anymore. Guitars have more crunch. Also doubles as a brilliant headphone amp.
But, he doesn’t sell them anymore. The replacement is called the bushmaster i think.

Going to get my lass the 16gb nexus 7 for Christmas. She isn’t big into downloads so should be ample size. Money saved means i can buy her something girly as well.

Not a veggie pot, but I make my own version of them instant porridges that are well expensive. Take one to work each morning for breakfast and normally sees me good from around 7:00 am till lunchtime.

Small tupperware type box with lid.

    4 tablespoons of porridge oats
    1 tablespoon milk powder
    sugar/salt to taste

Add anything else you want. Currently I’m into a dollop of peanut butter.

Get to work and add water from boiled kettle to approx 2x height (eg porridge 2cm in pot, fill water to around 4cm) Stir for a few seconds, pop lid back on and leave for 5-10 minutes. Remove lid stir again and enjoy.

Im fighting the need to use mine at the moment. Hate them with a passion, but 30min (tried 1 hour, was torture) sessions 2 to 3 times a week do work wonders.
Tried a turbo but for some reason I got chronic knee ache. Went back to the rollers and its been fine.

I had a Bialetti Tuttocrema. Works really well. Teflon coated and can be used on a hob. Fill with milk. Bring to the boil, turn off the heat then plunge the frothing handle a few times. Makes a nice thick foam. Even good at doing a hot chocolate.

Oh just remembered a place we always seem to go to when we meet my lasses mate from Halifax. Innovation. Really dated inside, but a proper cafe. Decent selection of stuff to eat and drink. Dunno if its open though as its right next to the river in the main square.

Ahhhh possibly. Short ride from Kilburn too. Surface was good today as well. Muddy in some spots, but otherwise it was pretty dry and compacted. Just need to work out the best time to avoid walkers haha.

I’ve got my old Arcam Alpha 7 amp with bi wired Wharfedale Diamond 9.1 speakers connected to my pc via optical cable straight into a Beresford Caiman DAC. Sounds amazing. Far better than the Arcam Alpha 7 cd player I had that broke on me. Rip tunes to flac/wav format. Play through foobar on 24/96 setting and enjoy. The dac opened up songs and I actually heard bits of the music that was low down in the mix that I had never heard before. Small cymbal hits etc. Bass is nicely controlled and punchy and doesnt seem to run away from itself anymore.

My coffee machine is a gaggia baby d and cost around 300 at the time. Works well commercial quality parts. Don’t use it anymore as I prefer my bialetti stove top pot. Get a big one and a tuttocrema for making froffy milk. Loads cheaper than a machine. And still able to make good coffee. You just don’t get the crema on top that’s only downside

Dealt with architects a few times in my various jobs. Some of the designs they come up with are garbage, and simply wont work. So its up to the sub contractor draughtsman, usually me, to come up with a working solution. Thankfully im out of having to deal with architects, and now into designing proper fabrication stuff.
Not bad looking building, but one think I noticed. She went on about how much insulation they have used. But it looked like the roof was single skinned. Unless I missed something.

I ran those Grud Road Racer mudguards a while back on my old carbon race bike that had chorus calipers. Worked fine, just a little bit faffy to install.
