Been working as a contract design draughtsman for a York company for almost 2 years. Today the boss called me into his office and offered me a permanent job. Really happy

I have one. Really like it. Used it on saturday to follow a route from an external website. Screen just shows the line, but more than adequate to stop from getting lost. As said the battery is decent. Was on for more than 6 hours and only a small fraction was used up.
Latest software update means its easier to download/upload date to and from the device. Thought it was a faff before.
Mine was about £175, I think the new OS one is a fair bit more. But I believe that the screen is a little bit bigger ???

I had a snugpak jacket. Good for mooching around in the cold. But as soon as it got energetic I thought it was too warm. Heard that the Buffalo jackets are better if you are more active.

I used to commute on this road when I worked in Baildon. Thats actually a dodgy bend if you are not careful.
Driving to work one morning and hit a greasy patch on the road (had weeks of sun, then rain made the road slippy as surface oil hadnt washed off). Car ended up going towards the edge, opposite lock and flipped back a couple of seconds before I went over the side. Proper brown trouser moment.

That’s Trevor Rooney. Does ghost walk tours, and hangs round in touristy pubs as a self made tourist attraction.

Tend to do a couple of mine then crack open the guests wine.
Personally I would be a tad miffed if I took some nice wine to a dinner party and the hosts opened it for another time.

Attempted a 17 mile off road ride. Pushed bikes across two really claggy muddy fields. Tyres looked like a fat bike. Mates were getting in a mood. 3 miles into the ride they called it a day. I stayed out and did a 25 mile ride home.

Stayed in leyburn a few times. Plenty of pubs and coffee shops. If its open that time of year, check out forbidden corner. Amazing way to spend a day. Kids and adults will love it.

There’s a nice self catering place in Thornton rust called little nettle (i think). We stayed in the smaller property called the piggery. No pubs there, but a short walk to askrigg which has a brill pub where all creatures great and small was filmed.

Sheffield shop, they were one of the only local stockists at the time when i got my kuota road bike. Bought the frame from them. Lobbed in carbon stem for free as i bought monococ carbon handle bars from them. Decided to get chorus groupset off them and they sold me the carbon chorus groupset for the same price as the alloy chorus groupset. Think it was a saving of around 300 quiz or so. Zero complaints.

Tend to use hiking socks with my skate shoes. Mates on Saturday complained of cold feet (combo of normal socks with seal skins or over shoes). Was nice and toasty in my bridgedales.

Far cry 3 for me at the moment. Such a good looking game that i can actually run on ultra settings on my 3-4 year old desktop.
Just taken a break from planeside 2. Has the potential to look out of this world. But you need to spend mega amounts on a desktop that can actually run it with all eye candy turned on.

Tried fitting mine the other day with a g clamp. Wasn’t working very well. Invested in a headset press for 35 quid. Cups went in so easy it was like a revelation. Local Evans charge. £18.50 to fit a headset. Money for old rope tbh.

white lion in hebden bridge does nice food and decent beer. Moyles does posh good and has a good range of ales as well. Not sure if moyles is open yet after the summer floods.

Rudland rigg will be good in this weather. Have you a gps device. I got a good route from this website.

    http://www.mtb-routes.co.uk/northyorkmoors/default.aspx

Done the Farndale one and the Nawton loop one. This one may be a bit claggy though.

Edit. Just remembered that the start of the Nawton route was really muddy when we did it in late spring. Really warm day, but after some rain. Think there is a diversion you can take though. Brill ride though. Well worth having a crack at.

Yeah the front wheel holder can be a little tight. I tend to let some air out and pump back up when I get to the ride start.

That mont blanc one looks ok !!

whats it like then ? does it fit to the bars ok enough?

Works fine. Have you got aero or rectangular bars. My roof bars are rectangular. The clamps on the mont blanc are great. Nice and tight. If you have the aero bars it comes with the correct bits for installing.

I’ve got a mint blanc barracuda. Works a treat. Handy feature is a deep slot for the front wheel that can actually hold the bike whilst you mess around with the clamp arm.
