Just got back from the beer festival at the white lion. Was meant to be a double pub affair. But alas down to the one pub with the cross inn being shut.
Was a nice low key festival. Not stupidly busy like the ones in York. Some beers on tap but the majority gravity fed. Good mix of pales, ambers and porters. Loved the lemonhead ale. Ginger with a lemon after taste.

I have. Number not recognized. Lass just posted on twitter. Its shut apparently. Bugger. Apparently they have been evicted by the owners. Village is contemplating buying it as a community pub.

    Looking good so far then.
Out of interest, so I can gauge if this will also work for me. What size are you on the 16″ 456. Im 5’8″ with roughly 31″ inside leg.

    Cheers

Sounds to me like its a make shift fence installed by the farmer. Plenty of them round my area. Gap in the dry stone/exising barrier with a length of cable/wire running between. If you tried to ride through its naturally going to be head tube height. Without seeing this, I dont think its malicious.

Cool. Let me know how it works out re sizing.

    My Baby D did this.
Took the solenoid valve apart (as above pic). Looked into the two holes with the red rings. Slightly gummed up with years of crud. Jiggled a cotton bud into each one until clean. Re-assemble expecting nothing to happen still. Machine worked as good as the day I got it. Result :D

Just swapped over from 9 speed to 10 myself. Was going to go for SLX but went XT, just incase. Price wasn’t massively more really.

Just seen this one on ebay

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2013-X-Fusion-Hilo-30-9-Dropper-Post-MTB-Seatpost-125mm-Handlebar-Remote-NEW-/121092029594?pt=Cycling_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1c31a5bc9a

New one with 125mm drop. Could potentially be a bargain. Unless I got hit with customs charges.

Actually I had considered that. Almost bought one when wiggle were dishing them out at £130. Didnt have the money at the time. But just clawed some money back into my account to cover the costs of the Tmars.
Just read a load of supernatural reviews on MBR. Not totally glowing lol.

Could always get an ecu remap. Think angel tuning come out the favourites for Fiat engines. Had a 120bhp Stilo diesel years ago and they remapped it to around 160bhp.

    Not really

Rang her twice Thursday to try and arrange something for today. She wasn’t in, so was expecting a call back. Non came. Rang twice Saturday to arrange same thing. No call back. Rang this morning to try and salvage something (ie, try and meet in York for some drinks) again, no answer. Called tonight expecting the worse (my mum is mental and gets in a mood really easy). She answered the phone, got in a strop and accused me of not wanting to bother with mothers day etc. Told her I have called 5 times trying to arrange something. She then went off on one saying I didn’t want to see them at Christmas. My excuse was my partner was working christmas day, so I was on call to take and collect her from work. I said something perhaps a tad harsh, then hung up.

She basically cut her nose off to spite her face, and I think she was ignoring my calls to use something against me. Grrrrrrrrr

Replaced my Juicy 3’s with BB7’s and just replaced these with Deore M596. Used existing adaptors and rotors. All good so far. Easy install, and no rotor/pad rub issues. Bonus is they are currently £38.99 an end from CRC.

Best part though. First ride out and gears and brakes work perfect. Such a smug feeling.

Lol good advice. My lass got a right ear bashing when she entered the same room as the bike build.

Built two bikes myself now. Youtube was a massive help.
rear mech install minus the cable. Set high and low limits by moving the mech across the cassette by hand. Make sure shifter is in high gear and runs smooth in high. Install the cable, and in theory it should work first time.

    Toying with the idea myself.

Had Juicy 3’s. Didnt really get on with them, so moved over to BB7’s

Would I be right in thinking that either Deore or the XT’s would fit straight onto my existing IS mounts (sorry for the slight hijack)

Think for the money this one is brilliant.

Core i5 processor and loads of memory. Cheaper version has 4gb of ram.

The missus just got one of these.

Think its a more premium model than the E1 range. Really well built and nice and fast. Would recommend.

Went for a pub lunch after work. Couple of pints of Golden Pippin. Pudding was cheese and biscuits, so ended with a couple of glasses of red wine. Sometimes I love being an adult hehe.

Got one in mine. It all feels smooth in the rear end to me. Seem to have more pep towards the end of a ride to. Dont know if its a combo of lighter frame (came from steel 456) and the carbon. Guessing it is.

Did my rear wheel last friday.
Nobby Nic Evo, non ust on stans crest with yellow tape and sealant. Took a few attempts at getting the bead the pop. Finally managed it, was leaking so did the jiggle and rotate. Thought it was leaking a touch so laid on the side in a bucket as recommended. Did approx 30 mins each side. Has held most of the pressure so far. Loads better than the Rocket Ron I tried. Was as soft as a soft thing after a couple of days.
