Just got a Nokia 7 plus. Ebay seller. Brand new, but open box with one years warranty for £265. Factory packaging intact on phone and accessories so all good. Came from 3 windows phones prior to this and really chuffed with it. Ability to control my music just by talking to it is a revelation after shonky cortana .

Good end of the year for me. Going to see Corrosion of Conformity play Sheffield on November. Then seeing Clutch play Manchester in December.

Result. Thought our old plumber had retired. He hadn’t. He’s coming round tomorrow to do the whole lot for £130.

cheers for the comments folks. Last time we had the safety check done it was £50. He did some other work for us that was well priced. But seems to not do plumbing anymore.

looks like this quote is around £70 for safety certificate and £50 each for the pair of taps. So guess it’s ok.

It’s one boiler and gas hob. Basin tap is rigid pipe and from memory the bath is a flexi fit. Would get the tools and try the taps myself but the missus won’t let me haha.

if it’s camera as preference then that Nokia 7 plus is suppose to have carl zeiss optics. Akin to the high end Lumia phones. And it’s going to be running android one, which is Android with zero add ones by the phone manufacture.

I’d wait for a while before deciding. There’s a mobile expo in Barcelona next week where new phones are due to get launched. Rumour has it the Nokia 7 plus is getting officially shown to the public. I’m interested in this as like you I’m using a windows phone (Lumia 950). Rumours are this Nokia is using the old windows phone camera UI so will be familiar. Good thing with android are the availability of skins to mimic the look of a windows phone.

almost  bought some night vision gear years ago when i used to airsoft. Spent weeks looking at reviews and forums. Think for the money the Yukon stuff was meant to be ok.

Used to say this one loads when I was at school.

Always thought it was a Yorkshire thing. But the missus is from Calderdale and this one has her totally stumped. Im from York so maybe its only local to that area. Anyhow, the saying is.

I’m 43, missus is 41. Have a 13 month old nipper. Only scare was her blood tests at the 12 week scan threw up a high risk of down syndrome. Was 1:57 risk and classed as high. Spent the next few months proper nervous. Luckily hes totally fine.

Could you not keep the CD player at least. The q acoustics m2 has audio connections for it.

Just got the Q Acoustics M2 a couple of weeks ago. Sounds great, especially Bluetooth. Would recommend one without hesitation.

Lol just saying that as an apprentice trained fabricator it looks like marks from a small grinder by someone trying to be delicate.
Don’t start me off on 9/11 haha.

That damage on the fork brace to me looks like it’s been skimmed over with a small grinding disc ie a dremel. Looks like it’s bounced a bit as they have attempted to remove the paint. Might be totally wrong mind you.

    Really liking this one.

Sainsbury’s sell it in York so grab a couple each time I pop in.

Blagged a bottle of Auchentoshan in Sainsbury’s a while back for £20 odd. It’s back to full on rrp again now though.
Was in the other day and got a bottle of Penderyn for £29. Not sure if that’s a bargain, but it’s a winner in the taste department.

Liked it how he was kicking the crap out of the drivers door. Then miraculously she’s driving it around minus dents.

    Yeah they are great.

Thinking of when our lad was born. It was super fast. We didn’t even make it to the hospital. Paramedics arrived at our house two minutes before he did lol. Luckily he came out with no dramas, but I dread to think what might have happened if something would have gone wrong while I was waiting for them to arrive.

Bought one of them full carbon “San Marco” saddles from it once. Mega cheap and came in at 95g (weighed on the post scales at work). Rode it for a year. Was totally fine, and actually comfy for what was in theory a sheet of carbon fibre.

I’ll be 59 when ours is paid off. 16 years left to go. Only got the mortgage 3 years ago. Was a 30 year term initially. After 2 years the LTV was that good we dropped it to 17 years for £90 a month more. Hopefully able to drop the term once we don’t have to pay nursery fees. Mid 50s paid off is my plan.

Porlus – one of the upgrades on this one is sport seats. Other cars are available though, even options on an auto 1 series

    Nice one.

Have you looked at the 320d ED Sport model. Comes really well specced as standard. Leather if my memory serves me right. Lower suspension than the SE model too.

What spec is your current 1 series (msport isn’t it)
As mentioned earlier the non sports seats are bobbins for comfort. Had a 3 series ED model for a while. Nice car generally but couldn’t get on with the seats. Side support wasn’t deep and wide apart, so had a tendancy to slide around a bit. The sports seats with the pneumatic bolsters are great.

With the residuals on them when they work out the pcp deal, could a 5 series be a similar price per month to a 3 series

I’ve got a 118d sport with the sport auto box. It’s really good. Looking at a 320i touring next time and will be ticking the box for the auto option without hesitation.

Have you seen this. It’s Skoda so keeps STW happy. Great size for bikes and far from slow.

Just got one. If you’re after no-nonsense pure Android and decent bit of hardware, nice metallic shell, then it’s pretty good. Depends if you want to follow the sheep with edge to edge display and curved display edges, which personally I don’t like (the curved edge stuff especially), as the Nokia 8 is more traditional.

Has interesting dual colour/mono camera and a gimmick mode to take snaps and shoot video (including live) with both front and back camera at the same time. Usual 4K video also etc. Despite the Zeiss branding, it’s not coming out as an amazing camera, but good enough.

Specs good. Nothing stand out, but £499 launch price is a lot lower than i7/s8.

Interesting comments thanks. Got one on the radar as an interest, due to having owned a Nokia Lumia 920 back in the day. Currently using a Lumia 950, and more than happy with it (despite windows 10 mobile being on its last legs)

Mate of mine was chatting to me about this band. Sounded interesting so played this tune. Impressed me straight away. Finding it hard to actually purchase any physical musical from them though

Wold top marmalade porter. Nice on tap and bottles. Fresh brew on in a month or two ready for winter.
