I’m a Liverpool fan but i took advantage of the Odds offered yesterday by Mr Paddy Power and i’ve got £100 at 13/5 for the Scummers to win. Looking good so far! Ahhh nice new shiny bike parts…..

+ 1 for Rootes 1. Sounds like a travel Warrant? get the Coach to Woking, so much easier than trying to fight your way through London.

The clue is in “Given entirely at the companies discretion”. you have no grounds to challenge that. ( Unless you don’t want a bonus next year as well!) Merry Xmas.

Disappointed I couldn’t make it this morning. Wife fell in the door from a Xmas party at half six this morning 8O and the social services wouldn’t take the kids at such short notice :? ( why do we pay these people??) :D Took the kids up to Mam Tor for a play in the snow though. hope you had a good ride. merry Xmas …

The ranges at Warcop are not used at the weekends and as long as there are no red flags flying you are ok to use the tracks/bridleways. I wouldn’t recommend going “off piste” due to the amount of UXO that is strewn around the place having been hammered by Tanks on and off for the last 50 years!

The cross trails are a different class, fast pick up, original bearings going strong after 3 years of peaks and alps riding with no issues.

The cross trails are also tubeless and I’ve run them as such from new and never had any issues. HTH

I would recommend a set of Mavic Crosstrails. Had them on my fuel ex for the last three years. Look good, reasonably light and very tough.

I had a Trek 1.5 in white and silver which i upgraded in june to a 5.5 Madone in White and silver! The 1.5 now lives in an Evoc bike bag in the garage, but the wife did notice that i bought a new set of mavic Ksyrium elite wheels for the bike, but didn’t realise it was a new bike! Genius!! (She would divorce me if she Knew how much i spent on my bikes and associated gear: No, i’m not in debt.)

The Rams Head in Disley is really good for food and family friendly. Open log fires as well. Highly recommended and handy for the trip back to Manchester.

What is the length of your bottom bracket when “bare”? a standard HT2 should fit 68mm to 73mm with the use of shims. maybe your “Niche” new Turner frame doesn’t like them 8O Buy some XTR 970’s. They will fit!! But if they don’t i will buy them off you for a mahooosive discount  OT, how was the ride on Sunday?

If you’ve got legs of steel and do lots of long rides and climbs get a standard. if your like the rest of us get a compact. I’m fortunate enough to have two road bikes, one with a standard 39/54 and a 11/27 outback and another with a compact 34/50 and 12/28. I enjoy riding the compact in the Peaks and the Alps. I only ride the Standard when i have a hangover! :D

You should own at least one of each! (where N+1 = number of bikes you currently own) :D I own one of each (and 2 road bikes) and it’s more fun to have a choice depending on the terrain and hills to climb!!

L’Etale just below the Pleney lift station crossroads is really good, about 14 Euro for pizza and 24 Euro for a steak. There is no where particuarly cheap for decent food in Morzine. As RJ says, have four or five Mutzigs at Robinsons, this will at least numb the pain of spending large quantitys of money until the following morning. Tuesday nights are really good and we had some mad performing arts band loose on the main street last week that should be detained in the local mental hospital! Great fun. :D
