Mine found the remains of a bbq this morning in the woods and tucked in heartily to all sorts of rubbish before he would come back to me- I think it's the wife's turn for shovel duty on the patio tomorrow

Got one and he's great but does need at least 45min decent exercise a day, like rolling in fox crap, catches baby birds in the woods and runs off with them in his mouth (they don't come back!), eats blummin anything left lying around- eg 2 mobiles, remote control, daughters brand new £90 doll!

Would I have another – probably- brilliant trail hound- eats up singletrack and puts a smile on my face watching him in full flow

If it's at Man u you have no chance of getting in with the Newcastle fans-If it's anything like my team the people who can prove they've been to the last 6 away matches get preference-therefore you would probably need to go via an on line ticket service.

I must admit going out with a pro2 rear the other day made me realise how much of a slacker I am in that it definitely lets you know when you aren't pedalling!

My pointer is now 20 months old and I've taken him for 1 hour max rides since he was 6 months old – albeit on a singlespeed and going slowly on the downs as speeding down hills is what will cause joint issues- like DezB says I think if anything I cramp his style a bit and slow him down!
We've only had one dog /bike interface (pretty slow speed as I was always wary) and he's learned pretty quickly from that.

Unfortunately I'm on kids duty at the mo- actually it's not that bad I should make the most of them while they are still prepared to talk to me

Muzzy- yes but fancy giving it a refresh- cheaper than a new bike!
At the moment it's all black components -steady but a bit dull.

I had one for about a month before it got nicked- so they must be desirable!
It was very light and 'flickable' but the paint was pretty flimsy
Fairly harsh at the back as well if I remember correctly- so many bikes since!

Not many bmx's in peoples collections- or do they not count as 'proper' bikes

Ive got a ti456, inbred ss, merida road bike and felt bmx- tbh was considering getting rid of all but the 456 but that's as far as it's got!

Ive also found that having kids has had a big effect – they seem to get a little germ magnify it a thousandfold and pass it on!

I loved the cover of 'if you want blood' cos my mum hated it!
I remember reading about his death on my paper round – saw them 6 times with the geordie fella but would swap them all to see the original lineup
To me similar to Iron Maiden – saw them with Paul di'anno and couldnt get used to Bruce Dickinson after that despite much more success.

I'm the same – on my third this winter and this one is crap – real bad throat, hacking cough, weak legs etc etc- considering some sort of supplements – anyone got any recommendations- and before it's said I'm too wimpy to MTFU and also its not good for the heart!

I would go A50 to the Britannia and then past the Michelin (campbell road) and skirt round Stoke through Penkhull to the hospital- traffic wont be too horrendous- avoid A34 as the school run really slows it all down

I had a puma and it put a real smile on your face just going around roundabouts- proper go kart handling. Sold it after about 6 months as I found i was driving like a bit of a loon to 'compensate' for the hairdresser jibes and bought a VR6 Golf instead- what a great noise that made!! but my wife always says I shouldnt have sold the puma as as she liked it.
Dont agree with the dissing of the fiat 500- the wife has had one for a year now and it's good fun to drive- only a 1.2 so like a slug but again handles well and is (was) a bit different- and I still dont like mauve and my lips are still firmly set a slighty miserable northern way!
If kids are on the agenda get a volvo v70 t5 estate-obscenely fast, cheap as chips , bullet proof and fits the world in the boot

Just come back from skiing in Kranska Gora and had a great time- there is a bike park that operates in the summer using the chair lifts- doesnt look massive but was are very tempted to go back as it looks like the scenery will be pretty spectacular in the summer
Our ski guid also suggested there was other bike routes in the nearby valleys as well.
There is some youtube video footage if you search for it to give an idea.

Went about 10 years ago- stayed in Sanur- loved it and liked the people too.
Kuta was ok but a bit in your face- thought the mountains were brilliant (can't remember the name)
Only problem was got food poisoning the day before by very long flight home- I made sure I got the seat next to the wc but it felt like a very long trip!!

Ive got coil revs on mine at the moment but considering investing in a new fork to save some weight- what is the view on the optimum fork travel or should I push the boat out and get an adjustable fork.
Quite like the look of the Magura's – anyone able to comment?
    Cheers

I think we need to re-name the trail at Cannock – ermmm "Follow other cyclists exclusively' sound catchy enough anyone?

    ooh get her!!!

Would it have been better to have said 'my collection of bikes'?

I actually do think having a winter bike isnt just an excuse – firstly cleaning a singlespeed is alot quicker and the grit of cannock etc can make a real mess of a nice frame and parts

Third point you may be right and I might just do that- thanks for putting me straight

Pixelmix- I am defo not a racer so I suppose the challenge is whether to build the 456 upto to do the 'rough stuff'

I think I may just be suffering from 'new project itch'- perhaps I just need to get out on the 456 to remind myself how good it is.

Tazzy- dont forget the road bike and bmx!

Edhornby- you may have the beginnings of a plan there but the sensible option would be to sell the ti456 frame and get a full suss frame (I think!)
