Surely copter tape would be just as effective frame protection?

I had an orange 5 which was nicked and replaced it with an ex8 of stw at the right price and to be honest (he whispers quietly) I prefer the trek!

After having 3 bikes nicked last summer I can definitely say I have nothing in my garage!

Having had it done to me it’s a pretty cr4ppy thing to do in my opinion- I usually price stuff for sale at a fair price on the basis that it may help someone out (and clears out my garage)- if that makes me a mug so be it- better than a profiteer-although the example above isnt that extreme tbh

The other option would be to sell your current bike and replace with a cheaper hardtail or even a singlespeed -new/different bike syndrome may get you going again and will free up some cash in teh short term.

I did the same and had a great summer and it does help handling etc as well as being more interetsing than just watching- however my son has now decided to do more park stuff and that’s definitely not me. So if youre interested in a Felt Sector xl drop me a mail!

Fitness is not good at the moment hence why I’m looking for a challenge to focus on – would look to do the short route and do like the open countryside feel.

Was going to get my missus a cube ht but she then tried the full sus xms and fell in love with it- it has defo made her get more out of biking due to added comfort and confidence so will be worth the extra outlay in the long run I think.
She went for a 16 inch blokes frame with no problems – she’s 5ft 7in

elfinsafety- looks like that baby has eaten a dog to me! Then again the dog may have had beetroot as his last meal- it’s all so confusing.

Ordered something and when questioned why it was then suddenly out of stock got a very curt bordering on rude response and will not use them again as a result

tony24- actually that is probably the best one I’ve seen but for me I do think it is important for a bike to look good.
Am I in a minority to not trust a carbon frame?

I must admit i dont get the pre-occupation of people (many old ones) to clear the snow off their drives- to me it just increases the chance of it becoming really icey .

The cone thing reminds me when I used to park in a side street close to Stoke’s ground before the match and one bloke always used to put cones out. Once I got there really early and no cones- so thought I’d park there as it would be funny- got back 3 hours later and ‘someone’ had slashed 2 of my tyres- not quite so funny now eh!

Pick up rock and place through windscreen of van….repeat if necessary.

Sounds a bit similar to our lane we have a dodgy dealer opposite who insists on parking his battered van opposite our 70 year old neighbours house even though he has a drive which makes it really difficult for everyone below us to get round- it does bug me massively but as i’ve already had them in court over their dangerous dogs (Ronnie and Reggie ffs!) killing another dog in front of my family and as it doesnt directly affect me I am (trying very hard to) not getting involved- but I do keep thinking I may let his tyres every night for a week or so to make him put it on his drive!

My pointer was happily running round with a dead squirrel in his mouth the other day- no way was he coming back to me as I would spoil his fun. Only way to get him to drop it was to get the springer on the case who made him drop it by bullying him and then I was able to get him to leave it and he actually listens to a command- always happens when you are running late too!

Not quite as bad as the time he was running round with a deers leg in his mouth pre- springer and it took me 40 minutes to get it off him!!!
