I assume the weight of a couple of bikes would negate the faffing of the bungees?

    Good point well made

If you know kev why post what could be read as a negative post on their products?
Theyre a great bunch with good customer service so surely the way forward was to pop in and ask before raising it here?

Its hard enough out there at the moment without making it harder for folks

    Rant over- peace and love

Stella! Unfortunately the wife is as well so not sure who’s getting the beating !

    Steel- yes
    Heavy- not particularly
Stiff- only in a good way

Diamond and truss here- I go downhill on techy stuff better than my old Pegasus , bit slower uphill but I’m slow anyways
Doesn’t beat you up unduly- right rubber helps
Very confidence inspiring due to geometry

Try one you make like it- come to Cannock and you could try every combination of jones there is on sale at the moment ( no ti diamond yet!)

Multigeared stu- but you also have a ‘proper’ fattie- taz can have the 29 knard and I will get an ickle knard and we can swap plus I can then use the wider rim for proper rubber in the winter ( ie next month!)

    Tazz
I’m not sure a 29 knard will be sufficiently different to the chunky monkey I’ve go at the mo so may as well move that on and have a proper contrast

I’ve got p35 ‘s but may be looking to go lighter- anyone got crests they would like to swap?

It’s a summer tyre I’m after which hopefully won’t need as much mud gripping ability ( I can hope!)

So sounds like a hudu or knard would be most betterer- right?

…….or should I try the 29er knard on the p35 first?

Futon- hudu wins over the 26 inch knard dya reckon?

Nobody tried the floater? Tempted by the price!

That’s the 29+ knard is it stu?
Got one of them but not tried it- worth it on a p35? Just not sure if would be much different to the chunky monkey I’ve got at the moment

If its a version 2 they make a great semi fat as there’s plenty of rear clearance

Surely 2015’s venue will be decided at Ssuk 2014?
I’ve heard that the competition to host it will be fiercer than the combination of the eurovision song contest, gladiators and robot wars- arroogah!!

Chunky monkey for the best value- on a p35 rim has plumped up nicely but fat frontage is addictive so just taken delivery of a knard!

Merlin used to make for Jeff- I think he did a 23 and 24 for a bit but now does just one size cus the geo is clever

Also in the not at a trail centre camp but take mine out locally quite often and have done from 6 months- built up distance but never much over an hour even now they are 5 years old- most important is to take it easy on downhills and don’t race too hard on flats- they usually beat me uphill 😳

I’ve had both and am currently riding the truss having sold the niners
Tbh the truss is part of a package so not easy to analyse but overall glad I swapped and the truss allows bigger rubber to give some cush- heavier tho’

Loops for me having tried both- give more hand positions and better for mounting lights

Brakes are fine- what are shifters for 😉

If you dont like them just sell on don’t cut them

Jameso- haven’t let her ride the jones!
It just happens that the fat bike is ok for me size wise as well 😉

My missus has tried full suss and hard tails and not really engaged but has taken to the semi fat bike really well due to added stability
3.8 on the front and 3 on the back all singlespeed – she’s my hero!

My view is that on a full suss you need to go faster to get the same buzz as a rigid- fwiw I’ve just back from a quick blast with my son and fell off twice but low speed tetchy falls not otb ones

Initial issues of which one is top dog, general fights over food

Jealousy is an issue with ours- we have a rescue springer and he goes berserk if we fuss the gsp- so much so you need to fuss the gsp on the quiet

Saying that they keep each other amused most of the time and generally it was a good idea
