Selling privately will allow you to get a better price, try eBay first over the Autotrader as its cheaper. If there isn’t anything wrong with the car then your not likely to have any comeback.

Always check and check again the money and ideally try and get a note tester even if its one of those pens. You don’t want a handful of dodgy £20 or £50 notes.

A trader will sting you on price a little as they will need to make some profit and WeBuyAnyCar will shaft you.

I don’t have a blog but I guess to get people interested you’d need to write about diet, training, rides and trail centres you’ve visited, product reviews and tutorials on stuff like bike maintenance etc..

Get yourself setup with WordPress and a nice theme and away you go. Don’t forget to add Google Analytics to track usage and maybe Google Ads to add some extra revenue for your charity.

4 of us stayed here in 2012 it was perfect right in town and a minute cycle to the lifts from the secure garage.

Apartment had 3 bedrooms, 2 with ensuite. Also had Wifi and Sky TV.

Was about £650 for the week I think.

Just start slow.. after snapping my collarbone I just started riding Fireroads just to be out on the bike, then chucked in some easy single track and slowly worked my way up as confidence grew.

Hopton Woods is pretty near, so is Long Mynd and for some natural riding in the spring or summer try Wyre Forest. But you are on the doorstep to Wales really so plently over that way.

Looks positively tropical compared to when I went a few weeks back with driving rain and thick fog up the top.

Thanks for all the suggestions so far… Some good research to start with :)

Some of the suggestions above i’ve done which is good to know.

    Nant y Arian
Bike Park Wales (need to go and do it with an uplift)
    Penmachno (last Sunday)

I definitely want to do a Sunrise ride at snowdon, have been looking at Gisburn recently, feel I need to do at least one Scottish trail centre, maybe Glentress and c2c – whitehaven to tynemouth would be a good one to tick off the biking bucket list.

Just use Find My Friends on iPhone. You can setup alerts when they leave or arrive at certain locations.

Thanks for the update, but ended up doing Penmachno instead. That was a very very wet trail indeed.

Llandegla for smooth and fun trail centre action or Wyre Forest for XC ride in the mud.

You’ll need short bolts without bash guard. I’ve just changed to 1×10 with Works Thick/Thin chainring and Hope bash guard and have been happy with it.

I think it depends a lot on if the rider is used to long climbs on their bike

I’m used to big climbs, regularly ride welsh trail centres and quite happy to plod up hill. I think its that after a couple of times its really boring. I guess the weather had a big affect on the climb, a nice sunny day in mild temps would probably make it a lot better then driving rain, fog and a few metres visibility.

did you try and book uplift in advance?

Yeah, but it has been booked up on fri, sat and sun for ages. I think what just annoyed me the most was we got on the uplift, but at the last moment had to take bikes and everything off again.

Another thing, was the uplift stopped for an hour from 1 till 2pm, if your paying for a lift you want it there all the time. You don’t see ski lifts close over lunch.

I went last Friday and it was horrendous, it was heavy rain and foggy and the climb really dragged on. We went with the intension of riding up a few times and getting the uplift a few times.

I don’t think the ride up is worth what you get on the way down, it really needs the uplift to work.

Turned out they only ran 1 bus, even tho it was fully booked up. There were plenty of day pass people like us waiting for the uplift so it would have been feasible to put another bus on. However the one thing that pissed me off the most was 4 of us had waited 30mins for the uplift, there was enough room on the bus so we put the bikes on the trailer and was just about to set off on the bus when a guy with an uplift pass turned up so the bus driver made us get off, unhook the bikes and let him on wasting the best part of an hour.

I think BPW are really missing out on extra revenue because of this. They have extra busses, the diesel to drive to the top each time would be minimal and I would imagine the drivers aren’t particularly well paid. For the 4 us, at £4 each would have paid £16 over and over again just to get more runs in.

After your description I think No. 10 is the one I meant not No. 9… You can go flat out down there, watch the walkers and don’t fall off, it’ll hurt!

I have a cheap HP Photosmart 5510, cost about £50 works fine with my MBP. Supports AirPrint so you can print from any iOS device also cloud printing, HP give you an email address you can send documents to and they will print on your printer.

Trouble with most cheap printers is the ink, printer cost £50, inks cost £20ish for the low capacity ones.

Depends how well you know it, but quite a bit of the Wyre is holding up ok at the moment, the usual boggy spots are boggy :D

Lots of leaves, watch out for roots and stumps :)

    Plenty on here with them..

I’ve got one and seems good so far only a few rides in tho. I have noticed it seems to pickup and hold leaves between chainring and chain. This could be same with all narrow/wide/thick/thin chainrings tho. I coupled mine with zee clutch mech and hope bash guard.

Any of the Android TV Streaming boxes should do the job! Something like this, http://goo.gl/81cfvp

    Apple for ease of use

Not really…. If you want to stream iPlayer and the likes on an Apple TV in standalone, you need to Jailbreak it. Its not hard to do but requires a 2nd gen Apple TV. Other than that, you’d have to airplay everything.

Edit: Cheap option, Raspberry Pi running OpenElec and the catchup service add-ons, can power on with the TV connect over HDMI and can be controlled via TV remote using CEC

Yeah, flew with Ethiad to Thailand and they were great.

But this emigrating business is expensive so a £300 saving between my girlfriend and I is useful for other stuff.
