I have a rental flat in Kingston but soon as it ever becomes free it gets let again immediately. Good for me but bad for tenants as the rent has gone up every time too, I am not greedy I just leave it with an agent to do.

Good luck, I follow the Kingston market (sell & rent) & anything decent goes straight away. Why not try neighbouring areas, Ham is ok & the 65 goes to Kew, or cycle along the river to work.

yes I got the marathon pluses & they are over 1kg each. However, they are bombproof & true fit & forget stuff so the weight premium is worth it for touring or road work.

I got them off here as wasn’t sure I needed them, I have ridden over glass deliberately & they work. Last summer I was puncturing every week with the sharp rock here & nothing since so deffo, go for it.

    Condor for me.

I have an Italia with Veloce & love it. In fact, it’s 10 years old now & only just upgraded the wheels. No problems at all with Campag.

The quality is remembered long after the price – I have had loads of Condor bikes & never had a problem with any of them.

Bike shop is in Calpe but I use the one in Javea as it is good, also 2 in Denia.

I cycled up along River Algar from Altea to Guadalest last week, 40-50km round trip. At Guadalest you can do a (rather steep) circuit of the lake. Beer in Albir was 1.6e a pint & that was a beachfront bar.

You are at the foot of Bernia in Altea but you can’t cycle up there, maybe a bit of the orbital circuit but I’d walk it.

Thanks, I don’t know anything about their set up but I have done loads of walking & biking near Calpe. The train stops there so you have access to all areas along the coast.

If it were me I’d hire a car from Madrid so you have access to inland areas. Train is good but it only accesses the coast.

Any help needed just email & ask.

I have the same forks (2010) & called by my LBS to see if they needed a service last week as they feel a bit sticky. He looked at them & said no, just do it all together – seals, oil change etc.

Sounds like a warranty issue. 20 hrs interim service you’d be in LBS every week.

I have a Condor Heritage & love it. Bombproof, no disc brakes though.

Hi LondonLady, sorry I can’t help with yr query but you could get the high speed train (AVE) to Valencia, or hire a car from Madrid & drive over. Last time I looked Ryanair were doing Madrid – Alc for 10e, about what the service is worth.

I have shipped bikes over to Spain separately, I live in Spain so can wait.

Where are you heading? I have done loads of biking between Benidorm & Denia (I use the local train alot to get to new places). It is hot & sunny at the moment so pack the sunlotion.

Anything else I can help with just ask, email in profile.

Sorry, here’s another meal & coffee combo.

Thai place opposite Ronnie Scotts, don’t know the name am afraid.

Plus coffee at Bar Italia after, best cappuchino ever – should be at 3 quid a cup but honestly you can taste it after 3 hours.

Food 4 Thought, Neal St for me – tenner all in. Plus there’s usually crumble & custard on the menu.

There or i like Ghovinders the Hari Krishna place just off Soho Sq, cheap as chips & they don’t bother you at all.

Best coffee at Monmouths on errrm, Monmouth st. A bit poncey but just ignore that & try the coffee.

hi, is this the same company that is usually written well about on here? I live in Spain (a bit north of where they operate) & was thinking of joining them. Failing that, just book a cheapo flight & do your own thing, accom is super cheap out of season. There are bars in Benidorm on the seafront at 1.5e a pint.

Oh dear, it says on post no weirdos, that’s me out!!!

hi, he could try selling euros cash to clients as they always need them, then bank the sterling or get a trusted mate to deposit them in UK bank.

Good deal for both buyer & seller as you get the wholesale rate.

Selling euros & buying sterling through the banking system is expensive, poor rates & high fees.

    Cheers

I live & ride a bit further nth of this area. The maps are more for walking & I haven’t seen any bike specific ones, people just do their research & try the tracks out.

I am happy to provide more details, if time is short you can waste lots of time looking. I just do a few routes I’ve found myself over the years.

    Good luck
