Lathes are pretty cool, you’d be surprised what can be done on a lathe. Large Hadron collider is a most excellent tool too! (I don’t have work experience of a LHC)

Mark N alluded to it, but, I wouldn’t use GT85, WD40, I believe both use petrol based carrier. Fave lube of mine is Finish line wet, Juice lubes (I won some) quite good too.

weeksy, so you don’t rate Cwmcarn much, begs the question, where do you mostly ride then? Although limited in quantity CC quality surpasses Afan. IMO Cheers

Definately not a plastic outer shell, unless of course its raining.

Not been to many, but one I didn’t think much of was Skyline at Afan, much too much fire road bashing. Good final descent tho’, it must be said

Got a day off on Wed, will have worked 84 by then. Not all in a week tho’. Consecutively.

I lusted after nearly all of those. Especially the GT Xizang. Spin wheels too. I wonder how many of them survive today?

I had no problems at all with mine, 17s & DSG, I loved that Gbox. Very comfy, proper GT car. Got a mk6 now, more refined in every aspect

Yeah, I do it all the time, commute once or twice week, and an evening training ride with about 4/5 others. I do have very good lights. Somerset BTW

Oldies pair, with my mate Rich. I did a few recce laps this morning, there’s been a lot of trail work done, will probably surprise quite a few of you. I’m looking forward to going at it in race mode!

Trout, as you say yourself, see the right people, but I can’t see what more you could have done. I’d have done the same. Tears maybe?

Yep great bikes. Some would say too generic/mainstream, but can’t deny the suspension action. I’ve had several. Set up a piece of cake, and away you go.

Talking to the Merida guys at BBF, and I can’t remember exact price, but Gunn-Rita’s replica was £10,000 (I think)

Mine has the RP23 and sorry guys, but I have no issues with it. Fork is RS sektor 150. I usually wind it down to 130/140. Again I like it lots. FWIW I ride mostly natural stuff on Exmoor, out of Minehead, and Porlock. Rocky/rooty.

I had a couple of NRSs, can’t recall mech set up being an issue. From your photo it looks like it needs to drop maybe 5mm which looks like it won’t be a problem. If you are genuinely worried, set up the mech, then take the shock out, and exercise the suspension. Should still clear the chainstay. HTH

    Jeez,

and I thought I was mad. Yes.

Got a mate who works selling caravans, he’s going to get us a Coleman event shelter (better for heckling from under)

Also toying with different night time strategies (to enable a bit of kip) We did 1234 1234 uptill dark then 1212 3434 The longer laps may allow 1234 right the way through. Gonna mull it over for 11 months.

I agree with Funkydunc’s early post, the changeover was an uneccesary pain in the backside, I guess it wasn’t positioned there by accident, probably to get you to pass by shops, cafes, and it should have had shelter, In the dark of night it was a miserable spot, luckily the weather held. Sort of. Course length, excellent, campsite banter, ditto. Jez’s jump down by the lake? well, he’s no carpenter is he!

funny that, we also didn’t think the beardy guy in STW tent attempt at humour at our expense hilarious either!!

Sounds like you may be fairly ‘novice’ if you’re considering Andora, I’d go with that. Some good ‘first timer’ packages to be had, and whilst learning, and having a great time, the experience won’t be clouded by scarily horrendous French eating and drinking prices.

    ‘Nodders’

Those new to road riding can sometimes be seen pushing a low revving ‘heavy’ gear, causes head to nod with each pedal stroke. HTH

Not the same, but similar, on the A38 through Somerset we’ve seen unmarked cars, blues & twos, seemingly in pursuit of each other, cars full of bobbies. Traffic cop who rides with us says it’s high speed training. Quite regular. Gotta be done somewhere I suppose. No idea ’bout the OP tho’

I’ve done a few taster sessions as a guest of Somerset Tri who had a spare slot a few times, this was at the Newport velodrome, I don’t recall the price being too steep, the coaches though, were excellent, the last time it was rising BC star Luke Rowes dad, Courtney. Great fun, and a tough workout.

I could be wrong, but I think the cafe at CC has CCTV as an additional security measure, park in there

Personally I can’t get away from my thought that high end Mavic hubs/bearings roll really well. R SYS – light, strong, fast + bling

Came as OE on my Anthem, fine in the dry, any hint of moist (lovely word) scariest tyre I’ve ever tried. Definately dry weather only. IMO

Ok then, not collar bone exactly, but I separated, and broke my acromium clavicula, turbo trainer one week later, road bike (taking it really steady) after a month, MTB after two months. Took ages before I had any confidence to try anything remotely techy or fast tho’. That for me was the big stopper. Took two years before I could comfortably sleep on it!
