What size shock are you putting on it?
The 8.75×2.5 that Spesh put on them can be hard to find. If you go for a longer stroke (8.75×2.75) you may run into problems with the piggy back hitting the frame.
You will need to run it with the slack shock shuttle

I run an 8.75×2.75 CCDB coil on my 06 S-works Enduro and it has made vast improvements over the old DHX air. It is a bit more of a pig to climb on but let it rip pointing down and it’s just about as quick as my DH bike.

Of those shocks you’ve listed I’d go for the Dueller over the Fox’s but if you can afford it get a CCDB.

There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable.
There is another theory which states that this has already happened.

After being found guilty of doping any athlete who wishes to continue competing should be only be allowed to do so if they take massive doses of acid before competing.

I’m used to be the wrong side of 90kgs with all my gear on and I used so little air assist that the movement on the dial in my shock pump was barely noticeable.

Well worth the cost. Found them much better than my old 36 Vans that they replaced.
Had them about 8 months and no issues at all with them.
The only set-up tip I can offer is to favour the coil preload over the air. I find with too much air in the right leg they lose a lot of their plushness.

I went to see it today.
Good film and doesn’t deserve the panning it’s had from some critics. The last one was the best of the trilogy but (IMHO) this one is a close second.

Did mine a few years ago, relatively simple job. As others have said call Mojo or TF.

Just remember once you’ve made the change you can’t go back, something to do with the spring marking the inside of the leg so it won’t get a good enough seal for TALAS or Float.
Having said that there is no way I’d go back, found the coil to be so much better. I do miss the travel adjust on occasions but thats a small price to pay having a much better fork.

3 screws in my foot by talisker707, on Flickr

Landed badly playing on some DJ’s about 4 weeks ago and ended up with a lisfranc dislocation/fracture of my foot.
Still got another 2 weeks to go in a non-weight bearing cast then if all is looking good when it’s next x-rayed I’ll be into a moon-boot for another 6 weeks and gradually introducing more weight.

Another op at 6 months to remove the screws,
Fair chance I’ll suffer with pain in my foot for a long long time (years) and I may need to have another op at some point to fuse the joint.

Worst thing is I’m in NZ and it’s just at the start of the ski season

I did it playing around on some dirt jumps.

I’m not entirely sure what happened, I think I landed slightly sideways and the front wheel washed out from underneath me but it’s all a bit “fuzzy”. All I know is I ended up a few metres away from the bike unable to stand up.
Front wheel is pringled as well

5-6 months isn’t that bad compared with some of the stories I’ve read online but thats only a handful of stories and not a true representation of a typical recovery.

I’ve been a flat pedal rider for quite a while now, I may invest in a turbo-trainer and some SPD’s and put in some miles on that before I venture outside with SPD’s again.

I’ve got a pretty long reach with my crutches and I’m pretty quick on them already so with comments like that you’d better be running fast

I’ve been in Wellington for 5 years now and still miss the UK as well.
There is awesome riding here, the weather is generally better, coffee is fantastic but it wil never be home.
Still don’t think I’ll leave for a long time though.

If you’re in Wellington for work could you squeeze in a cheeky ride here? A few of us on here are locals and could easily show you the trails.

For a scooter to take to the skatepark she’d really need to get one that doesn’t fold.
MGP Pro are the basic entry level ones but probably a little more than 50 new, should get one for that price on ebay though.

You’re missing the Mt Vic Super-D NZCol?

Going by the rain we’ve had recently it’s going to be a muddy one, good for spectators but for some daft reason I seem to have entered.

To be honest their is very little wrong with the NHS. It is a bloody fantastic free health care service and is one of the things I miss hugely since moving away from the UK.

If costs are spiralling then the answer is simple.
Pay more National Insurance.

I work 4 days on/2 off with a nightshift at the end of every 2nd cycle. When I work nights it’s actually a split shift, as in I work 0630 till 1130 then back in that night at 2230 till 0630, followed by a sleep day then 2 days off.

I’ll often ride in between the split shift but am usually far to tired to even think about riding after nights. Even driving home can be a bit dodgy at times.
With the other shifts if I’m too tired I won’t ride, if I’m not tired then I will.

I really shouldn’t grumble though. Apart from the night shift most shifts are 5-7 hours long plus I get 30 mins breaktime every couple of hours plus 36 days holiday a year (plus public).

Whenever I build wheels I take the hub and rim along to the LBS and get then to measure and supply the correct size spokes.

I have however only ever built one wheel which I did last night. Rather pleased with the result. All true and nice tension plus the valve hole lines up with the hub logo.

+1 for the wheelpro e-book.

Smith Variant Brim for me.

Removable ear pads and slidey vents on top for hot days.

I already had Smith soggles so I took them into the shop when trying helmets and this one fitted my head and goggles perfectly.

Skied for years without one but since getting one for the first time around 4 years ago it would feel odd without it. I’ve always used to wear a hat so why not wear one with a little protection?

Had a few runs of K2 Obsethed last July in NZ. Very nice skis, floated well enough in the heavy pow that was around that day and yet still able to carve reasonably well on hardpack.

I very nearly bought a pair until I tried Kingswood SMB’s

http://kingswoodskis.com/home/skis-smb

I’ll be ordering a pair for this season for sure.

Put those things in a traditional, crispy Morton’s roll, of the type you get in any Glasgow cornershop, and add an extra couple of noms.

You forgot the deep fried ceiling tile AKA square sausage or lorne for a proper scottish breakfast roll

idiotdogbrain, from what I can see I’d need a much bigger rotor with that one as well?

“Enlarge your rotor 40 to 45mm (from 160/165 to 203mm, 8?)
diameter for increased braking power!”

Looks like the only options are a massive rotor or new brakes and add then Hopes to my ever growing spare parts box

The way superstar name their adaptors is calliper then fork then front/rear then size.

Therefore PM-IS F203 is for a PM calliper to fit onto a IS fork with a 203 rotor.

Mine is the other way round, IS calliper and PM fork.

passtherizla, I think that adaptor is the other way round (IS forks, PM calliper) to the one I need.

Been looking at 223mm rotor but would rather avoid that if I can although I think it may be the only option. Problem is the forks are only supposed to take a maximum of 203mm and I don’t want to lose my warranty by running a bigger one.

My brakes are the older Mono M4’s that have an IS mount calliper with no adaptor fitted.

I’ve been playing around with making some using my 450D using a Macbook to control it. I use the a Canon utility program that came with the camera to take the shots and the Time Lapse Assembler app to make the video.

Not made anything worth posting myself yet but here’s 2 of my favorite examples from other people…

Great atmosphere in Wellington this eve for the SA Fiji game. Pubs are packed, probably more Fiji supporters than SA. Should be a good one
