    Worked fantastically for me…until the chain got gritty. Then it chewed up my frame, got stuck and bent, oh and it trashed the chain.

    Apart from that it’s a really good idea. :twisted:

    Yeah, defo doing it. £250 ish gets new DT steerer/stanchion assembly, new bushes and upgraded internals. Only the lovely carbon lowers will be original methinks :-)

    I consider this guy to be an aluminium welding god. He repaired a cracked seat/top tube on my full suss 12 months ago.

    Considering that they’ve been sitting on a shelf for 5 years everything still works when I do the scientific, pushing down on the steerer test. Just the worn out anodising problem.

    We’ve been doing it for so long now, that I often forget wether a route was done on a Sunday morning or Thursday night. Makes little difference once you’ve “tuned in”
