Going to be a less interesting season without Stoner next year. Definitely the best to watch!

Be good to see what Marquez can do though, that kid is nuts!

The King Trail, Zermatt, Switzerland. 13km of brilliant singletrack, all downhill. :)

For extra points does anyone know the middle verses? About being on the plane etc.? I can never remember them, just the shorter version that everyone knows! :)

No need to worry, there really is so much riding around that area. I love the Long Mynd, never get bored of it and i ride there every week.

Base units are 600mm deep and wall units are 300mm, both come in various widths and wall units come in different heights too.

Base units should come with adjustable feet to raise or lower them to match existing appliances etc. though if starting from scratch you want to keep them at a height that means you wont have to cut the plinths down when it comes time to fit them.

The enduro on sunday really was ace. fun but challenging stages (a good mix of ‘gravity’ and ‘enduro’) with spot on timing and a great atmosphere, i loved it……

…until I stacked in on the bottom of stage 3 (i blame being absolutely knackered from the pedally sections) and broke my collar bone, lovely.

Would be great to get some more of these organised for next year though!

Out in the states already, watched it yesterday. Fair to say you are in for a treat if you are watching it tonight. Brilliant episode! :D

    Monkey Tennis?
    Youth Hosteling with Chris Eubank?

Crash. Bang. Wallop. What a video.

All legitimate options for ‘breath of fresh air’ tele I reckon.

I do all my own building/servicing so I never use my LBS for that. Not one for all the latest kit/clothes etc either so I tend to make do with whatever i’ve already got.

But, I do like having a decent LBS to go and have a browse/chat. And as a lot of my rides start from the shop I do tend to buy stuff that i might need that day from them; food, patches etc.

Oh, and if you get to know your shop staff they will likely discount stuff to make it cheaper than CRC anyway. Which is nice.

Hans Dampfs, at least on the front but personally due to the abundance of wet and jaggedy rocks I’d run them front and rear (trailstar/pacestar). Failing that Probably RQ’s

    Exactly this.

RQs roll a fair bit better but HDs are bit tougher where jagged rocks are involved.

I do quite like it, but after hearing this all bond themes have been ruined for me:

If you are looking for just a waterproof shell type jacket then the Montane Velocity is good. Packs up to the size of a fist too, so easy to carry with you just in case.

No drac – what im alluding to is jeff wants to buy my bike – he insists on using parcel2go

I have work to go to – jeff expects me to take a day off?

Hence now if im sellin something expensive to post its collect only or pay post office prices

If you’re the seller surely just organise collection of whatever it is you’re selling for a time/day that is convenient?

you shouldnt have to pay more than £15 to send a whole bike or £7 for F&F.

Couriers are your friend with bulkier stuff. ParcelMonkey.com is cheap and their service is great.

I’m in Leominster and would be interested in helping out (mail in profile). But i do fully agree with jesterthefirst. Awful lot of time and effort from the Pearce guys gone into the amazing DH tracks on the Bringe side. Wouldn’t want to dig anything that affects them.

Let me know what you’re thinking/planning on doing though.

Cheers all. Given me some food for thought. The ‘cheap 4’ should be able to provide something ideal for me.

Definitely thought about 2nd hand, but not knowing very much about road bikes doesn’t help. I do know I am looking for around 52cm seat tube and 57ish top tube, so I will be keeping my eyes open.

Cheers, RealMan. I had been looking at the Planet X ones (seem like amazing value), and the Specialized Secteur, so around the £1k mark is doable. But the less I can spend the better really.

Hmm that’s a shame, I thought we may catch the tail end of the season. Will have to look into other places. Cheers for the heads up guys!

    Cheers for the quick responses!

The sheet is in date order, so cant really sort it by the flag. Basically the less manual work I have to do the better, so ideally wouldn’t need to copy/paste anything.

Ideal solution would be as soon as i manually update the sheet with the job details on the other sheet would automatically update. I will have a look as a few of other suggestions now. :)

Look to Windward is my favourite I think. Though I haven’t finished Use of Weapons yet, it’s getting some good reviews from you lot, and I am enjoying it so far.

They are fairly hard going in some places though, as others have mentioned I probably wouldn’t make them my first foray into Sci-Fi.

Excellent. Thanks again. As long as I have a rough idea of the right area to explore the map will do the rest. :-)

Hoochylala, where abouts is cut gate, North or South of Derwent Reservoir? Sounds like the place to be.

Its not about the lazy element

I second that. Just seems to me like it would make the trail flow far better. No stopping before each descent to lower the saddle etc. If i’m short on time I tend to ride everything with the saddle all the way up anyway, its just not as fun. With an uppy/downy post you wouldn’t have to stop riding until you finished/got knackered.

Sounds pretty awful tbh. Would you buy forks that need constantly rebuilt?

I tend to strip, clean and regrease my forks more than once every 8 months anyway.

Do you need to save the post?
If not crush it one way in a vice then rotate 90 deg and crush it the other. Will just pop out then.

Actaully, prior to that hold it very tightly in a bench vice and rotate the frame, best after soaking in above substances.

Good mixed bag of reviews. From the sounds of it none of them are a perfect system and all require a bit of love and attention. Think it may come down to price and which looks the coolest. 8)

overall I’m happy with my Joplins.

Having to send both of them back, i wouldn’t be! I don’t mind having to do regular maintenance as long as the thing works properly when well maintained. Just out of interest, what went wrong with them, Nuke?

Anyone on here use the Reverb? Seems like a lot more money than the others, is it really that much better?

Was seriously looking at an i900r, but that’s not a glowing review Northwind. Will have to reconsider.
I have heard Gravity Droppers are reliable. Do they come in 30.9mm though?
