nutrition on days out is something a lot of people don’t think about.  I try and think about how long I am going to be riding for and how much carbs & fluid I am going to need.  Since I’ve been doing that I have been able to ride further with better recovery.  For long days out I use SIS beta gel bars along with some normal nut type bar and a sandwich.  They are like eating raw jelly but good with my digestive system.  If I’m out for an hour I’ll have a glucose gel and have a 1:0.8 glucose:fructose mix in my bottle (~21g of carb) 800ml that I drink over that hour.

It all depends on the intensity of the exercise as that affects glucose/glycogen usage.  riding with the kids I just take water and normal food.

Its boost IIRC.  My son had one and it didn’t affect his fun.

are you actually going to ride on gravel?  I had no intention of it so went with a road bike.  That being said a gravel bike will be more relaxed so depending on your geo of choice.

I found for the majority of kids pedals they were actually too small.  Sophie has the SDG bar, grips and saddle.

But call me cynical, but Karas shouting every 2 seconds on stage 1 did have me wonder

The first part looked fairly tame as well.  Not sure what the hell she was getting excited out.

comes down to how much exposure you can get for a company.   I don’t care who you are sponsored by.  Good on you if that is what you want to do.  I can’t be arsed with people that shove the products in your face in videos though.  The videos also have to be good to watch to (which is why my channel does badly lol). I prefer watching normal people but also the video quality has to be good.  By that I mean interesting.

It means that the tyre can be safely used on hookless rims (normally a lower pressure than hooked) as well as hooked.

However both of them raced the non-ebike class, yet neither of them has been disqualified unlike the others who did the same.

Josh has a ebike category win on R&R while Peat has no listing.

Get them to the pump tracks at Cathkin and Knightswood.  They will get confidence on the bike and learn braking and body position.  Cathkin also has a few wee rough bits that they can ride.  Don’t forget about general riding about.  That gains fitness and confidence on the bike.  I got my kids to learn how to ride down stairs and then progress to jumping them.  You’ll be surprised what you can find.

trans men can still ride in the female category

Those saying you can’t change your sex because of biology are right when they put it like that. But they are creating a strawman, as Trans is about gender, not sex.

Problem here is that the two words are used to mean the same thing which in today’s society they do not and that confuses the hell out of everyone.  In my view men are males and woman are females.  If you want to them to mean something else then you are going to have to refine what man/woman means.  Good luck without using sex as a descriptor.  That being said if you want to call yourself doris when you used to be dave and live like a woman or vice versa (what ever living like a man or woman is) go have at it and be happy.  you will still be the sex you have when you were conceived and we split sport in to male and female categories.  The wording has to be more specific because of the above mentioned change in what a man/woman means these days.  So no strawman at all if you use the correct terms.

If you stick to only females can compete in female races then there is no ambiguity and no one can complain about it.  Male/open category as well keeps everyone included and fair.

The really s**tty thing for trans people is that the same (right-wing) people that say ‘you can’t change your sex, that’s just biology’

That has nothing to do with your political opinion.  Science doesn’t take a side.  You can’t change your sex (well at least humans can’t).

no.  Got one (exact one above) for a laugh from aliexpress and it would creek and crack in my hand.  never even tried to put it on the bike.  Got a Selle Italia Novus Boost Kit Carbonio Superflow Saddle from wiggle in the sale for a decent price instead.
