Don’t ride Heartbreak ridge if you didn’t enjoy it. it a challenging trail for sure. find the DH track easier.

you’ll certainly know if your suspension is set up well riding it. I personally wouldn’t drive to ride it

with the warranty on the motor only being two years and the fact that so many fail its a big no from me at the moment. Had my patrol for 7 years.

woman stepped out without looking. There is no law for that. Cyclist didn’t do anything wrong.

As far as the law goes yes there should be something with a greater sentence but they don’t punish car drivers properly and they kill and injure significantly more people than bikes do. something like 2.5 on average per year die due to a collision with a bike and how many of those would be characterised at death by dangerous cycling.

I use wahoo. when my sub was up at the end of January I looked at others but they where either too expensive or didn’t offer me anything different. I don’t care about the social aspect of it, I use it purely to get fitter. The 4DP test gives you 4 different data points to train at and the half monty test is pretty easy to do.

For the road bike I got XT 160mm rotors for the MTB I’ve got 203 and 223mm discs. lightweight is silly on MTBs

@nickc That is ChatGPT for you. I put in some words and it came out with that. Did it a few times and sophie choose which ones to say.

    @t3ap0t

build your own. You’ll get a better spec that going to a builder. Never buy dell. They are unbelievably shit.

nothing wrong with the 4DP or half monty tests.

If you don’t do a FTP test how do you set your power zones?

I’d check the endcaps to see if they are the same as others. Can’t remember what prime ones fit Vel hubs and vice versa.

not tried any. spend ages looking online at them. If I was only cycling for a short period then a gopro clone would be good enough.

most of the “cheap” rear cams are crap. I’ve been looking into them for my road rides. For the front I just use my gopro with a battery pack attached. has male/female garmin mounts so east to fit. I’d want 60fps for number plates with 4k being much better.

Sophie has 8 speed microshift on her bike. I don’t have any complaints about it.

covid affected me for three months after the initial infection. struggled to get up stairs without getting out of breath. I eventually got back to being just unfit from being very unfit lol Could be a multitude of reasons from lung damage to immune issues over that period that caused it. SARS cov 19 wrecks havoc on the body.

couple of changes.  I swapped out the cranks for the shorter ones that where on her Orbea.  That made a difference to her balance and riding.  Popped in a carbon post and added some colour with some bolts, seat post clamp, garmin outfront mount, jockey wheels (+ bolts) and dust caps.    Drip waxed the chain too.

Went out on the road for the first time.  That was scary.  She is desperate to do more.  Keeps asking to go on the trainer.  Only had one idiot driver

I pondered for far too long over that.  When I went to buy it it was out of stock :(  Wasn’t going to pay full price for this version.    How do you find the paint on the bike?

Already had her on zwift lol

you want them for the bling colours rather than the braking ability.
