Work to get rid of helmet laws for a start. They discourage cycling and the best way to make things better for cyclists is to have more cyclists.

wish this was law in the UK – not wearing a helmet is as dumb as it gets

you can ask your GP to refer you to a specialist – the GP can say no but not likely to. I asked for a CT scan* and they said they can’t directly do this. I would have to wait till I see my consultant at the hospital in July but I’m getting referred for a colonoscopy at my request via the GP. The reason I asked for a scan is because the tests they have done have not shown anything up.

If your GP doesn’t agree that its worth you should ask why and get them to explain it in full details. If you are not satisfied with their reasons then go for a second opinion.

spd’s aren’t advertised as much in mags either by companies or in articles. Don’t get why this is such a big argument though, its just another component on the bike.

CCDB air won’t fit and neither will a monarch plus which makes a float X unlikely to fit. float X will probably still have the same issues as the float you are having though. maybe the CCDB inline is what you want or get the float pushed

used uberbike Kevlar in my M675’s – worked well but pads are slightly too small so move about in caliper making a horrid noise when they move. sucked it up and replaced them like for like with fined organic pads from CRC.

Some parents will do anything to make them their kids look better than other parents kids in the playground.

the best bit is the kids don’t care lol

unless it was actually in breach of health and safety law I suspect they have no legal right to damage your property. They have effectively stolen your bike and demanding you pay to get it back. I would report it the police for a laugh

too much protein and you’ll probably end up with piles, be thirsty with possible kidney and liver issues. Symptoms will be exacerbated with a low carb diet due to the effect of ketones

you shouldn’t need to take supplements if you are eating properly.

on the plus side you might get foamy urine due to the excess protein being excreted lol

except that the ambulance and fire brigade are stuck behind 100 other vehicles that are being blocked

my god how do they cope in rush hour – they should invent some sort of light and sound making device to warn people there is an emergency vehicle needing to get by.

Thule told me it wasn’t available in the UK as it wasn’t TUV approved

suppose, we in the UK require a German approval for our car racks lol

not everyone is supposed to be selling stuff on ebay instead of their shops

manufacturers can’t tell people where to sell their items or for how much after they agree to supply them.

to the OP I would return the forks under distance selling laws buy a different set

I find the superstars don’t fit my xt properly. They move about slightly in the calliper when braking. Still work ok, but rattle

same with my uberbike Kevlar that I just put in – which is a shame cause they work bloody brill.

problem with the sinz cranks is chainring size. I considered them for Lewis’s bike but the smallest ring you can get for a 110 BCD is 33t

Jonathan, awesome bike project.. but 165mm cranks for an 8yo?
    I’m guessing he’s not quite 5ft 6 yet!

my boy (9) has 150mm cranks, the 165mm that came with the bike were too long for his hight

But not Llandegla. I can’t stand the tedium of the place and she won’t thank me for taking her on the ‘old’ non trail centre routes.
She’s virtually brand new to riding. She likes Clayton Vale and would probably do laps all day but my head is going to implode if I have to do it again before Halloween.

you are going to get that where ever you go with a beginner. personally I think llandegla is perfect. I took my 9 year old there last week and we spent 4 hours going round the skills loop, freeride and pump track. The fact that they are small allowed the both of us to ride at our own pace and stop if we wanted while the other one rode on.

no good if you want shin protection though.

no size chart sadly, they do an XS but it’s not cheap.

most of the pads that fit small kids are not comfy. I’ve been through the same process for my 9 year old who is on the thin side. They are not designed for the leg movements associated with pedalling.

can’t get the evolution shock pushed – there is not much they can do with that shock as it has a pretty basic (read poor) damping set up.

    I’d replace the shock
